The Cygnet 80W by Aspire Previewed
The Aspire Cygnet 80W is a new cute little colourful mod.
The Cygnet is marketed as a small easy to use device.
You have Variable Voltage, Variable Wattage and By-Pass modes to choose from – so no tricky Temp Control or TCR to try to figure out.
The + and – adjustment buttons are on the base of the mod – reminiscent of the Eleaf Pico.
This only needs 1×18650 battery which is not included and you can get up to a decent 80W output.
To install the battery you simply unscrew the retaining cap on the base of the mod.
There are plenty of safety features to help keep even a new user safe – however Battery Safety is still super important.
There are 6 colours to choose from – Green/Gold, Pink/Rainbow, Grey/Gold, Black/Grey, Blue/Rainbow and Red/Black.

The prices for this look amazing – a really good price – but you will need to buy some good quality 18650 batteries and charger.
This is aimed at low power vapers. The simple menus are great – no TC or TCR to confuse people.
I am spotting one slight problem though. I know I am such a misery aren’t I!
The design of the mod means you are slightly confined in the tank you choose. The maximum tank size you can use is 23.5 – when you consider a lot of tanks are 24mm now this could be a problem.
It isn’t even a simple case of a 24mm tank will “overhang” – but it will not physically screw onto the top of the mod because of the cut out and step design.
I can’t help thinking that the restriction on the tank size will become annoying. As someone who owned a Pico in the past I eventually gave it away as none of my newer tanks would fit due to the battery cap obstructing them.
If your tanks are all 22mm or less then you will be fine! But it does limit your options if you did want to upgrade tanks and you might grow out of this mod quite quickly.
There is no doubt this little Cygnet is cute and colourful. The Pink and Rainbow is particularly sweet!
