E-Lites E Cigar Review

Its no secret that we here at ECigClick we really enjoyed the E-lites e cigarette (take a look at our E-Lites e cigarette review here) so when we found out about the e cigar (or E-Gar as E-Lites call it) we couldn’t wait to give it a try. Now before i go any further, i will say it now, i am not a cigar smoker so I don’t have anything really to compare this to.

I have had cigars on a few special occasions like many do and I am certainly no expert when it comes to smoking them! But at £12.99 i thought it well worth a go. With that out of the way lets have a look at the E-Lites e cigar i received through the post this week.

Packaging

The delivery was quick again, arriving within two days of ordering, and was small enough to be posted through the letterbox.

Again i was impressed with the case the ‘E-Gar’ was in, nice and simple tastefully branded metal case with a sturdy fastening clasp and a clip on the back that allows you to hook it in your suit or shirt pocket. On opening you are presented with the e-cigar lying on a velvet-style lining. Impressed so far!

Battery/Responsiveness

The thing with the E-Lites e-gar is that it is a disposable item. Meaning once it stops working you will need to buy another unit.

This may not sound ideal but keep in mind that it is built to last for about 400 puffs (according to the E-Lites website), which is equivalent to around 40 cigarettes. So unless you are hard core cigar smoker this should last for a good amount of time. From experience of using disposable e cigarettes these numbers can be somewhat inflated so do keep that in mind.

I can’t vouch for the length of time the battery actually does last as I wouldn’t end up writing this review until April early next year!

One thing I was expecting before receiving this (for some reason) was a Cuban like fat cigar! I don’t know why, I think the images may have confused me a bit! The E-Lites description does mention it is a ‘slim, pantella style’ so it was no fault of their own just an oversight on my part!

Anyway, lets have a look at how it performs. The first thing you will notice about when you take it out of the case will be surprising (or at least it was for me) is the smell and feel. You get both a real feel and a pleasant ‘cigar type’ smell before you even use it.

The first thing most do when they pick up a real cigar is run the length of it under your nose, or at least I do! Maybe I have been watching too many movies! If you do this with the E-Lites e-gar you can get a light smell which I actually liked.

The battery is super responsive straight out of the box, no ‘primer drags’ needed to get the battery warmed up.

Overall excellent.

Vapour/ Flavour

When taking a drag, the taste is very good, giving you a light, subtle cigar flavour. The vapour that goes with it is up there with the best e-cigs I have tried for the volume it produces.

Not much more to say about this apart from its very good!

Summary – Is The E-Lites E Cigar Recommended?

I was surprised by E-Lites E cigar, I think that was mainly due to me not knowing what to expect along with not really having much experience smoking cigars. For £12 its a really good deal if you get the full ’400 puffs’ worth from the device. If you use the discount code above as well its even better!
