The V12 RDTA by GTRS Previewed
The GTRS V12 RDTA is a new development from the vaping brand GTRS who were behind the recent mod the GTRS VBoy.
This is a RDTA – which is a hybrid of a RDA (Rebuildable Dripping Atomiser) or a “Dripper” and also a RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomiser) or a “Tank”.
This hybrid scenario means you get the taste and vapour quality you would get from a dripper but with the added convenience of having 2ml of liquid stored to save you keep adding liquid.
The deck is a gold plated velocity build deck – if that means absolutely nothing to you – basically it is a 2 post deck which has 2 holes on each post so you can use two coils. Also the layout of the deck means you have more room for some of the more complex multi wire coil builds.
So if you want to use Clapton, Alien, Juggernaught, Squirrel (ok I made that one up) etc type coils then a velocity deck is more suitable for you.
The tank has 2 airflow controls – one at the top and one at the bottom. This means you can control the airflow hitting the bottom side of the coils and also the airflow as it comes up to the drip tip.
One downside I can see is you do have to remove the top cap from the tank to fill the liquid into the centre tube, but it is 2ml capacity so you shouldn’t need to do that too often.
The GTRS V12 RDTA also boasts an anti-leak and anti-spitback system – but I haven’t found any info about that.
You can choose from a Stainless steel, Black, Bronze or Grey finish to the V12.
GTRA have shared a brief demo video on their Facebook page – blink and you will miss it though!
