Project Sub Ohm have released another redesigned mini rebuild-able dripping atomizer, their talented in house design team have redesigned the Infinite CLT V3 Mini RDA to add their own personal signature touches to it.Project Sub Ohm Infinite CLT V3 mini review

The Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 Mini features a shortened chamber over the popular CLT V3 RDA for better flavor, triple stacked airflow for fine tuning of your vape, huge interchangeable wide bore drip tips and a clever honeycombed spit back sleeve to eliminate many a mini RDA users nightmare- juice spit back. It seems like they have really thought of it all here!

With the huge wave of mini RDA’s becoming immensely popular as of late, does the Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 Mini stand out from the crowd?

CLT V3 Mini RDA Kit Contents

The Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 Mini comes packaged in the standard Infinite CLT V3 Mini packaging, you wouldn’t realize it was the Project Sub Ohm edition until you open it up and see the trademark logo on the top cap as there is no Project Sub Ohm branding on the box. Inside you will find-

  • Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 Mini RDA with 11mm Pyrex Wide Bore Drip Tip
  • PEEK Honeycomb spit back protector insert
  • 510 drip tip screw in adapter
  • Black delrin 11mm drip tip
  • Spares kit with replacement post screws, screwdriver and o-rings

Project Sub Ohm have tried to cover every base here, and done it well! There is plenty of kit included within, couldn’t ask for any more!

CLT V3 Mini RDA Set UpYou will find a very clean build deck with the Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 Mini, not a single speck of machine oil to be found, completely clean and spotless! As with any new atomizer you should always check that your atomizer is clean before first use and no traces of nasty machine oil residue are present.

Onto the build deck then, and it is massive. There are three big posts present, and the deck size has been maximized to take advantage of every available millimeter of build space.

The 2mm negative posts are milled into the deck and you have an over sized 3mm center positive post, all three posts feature cut out slits for post holes which have been enlarged over the CLT V3 so you can accommodate even thicker wire.RDA Deck of Infinite CLT V3 Mini

The screws and threading are superb, no issues with threading screws, and coil legs get trapped down easily. The post slits most definitely have enough room to fit large builds in, you wouldn’t have any issue fitting clapton builds in for example.

The juice well itself isn’t particularly massive, and with the Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 designed for sub ohm builds you will be dripping frequently and often.

Thankfully, this is made easier by the size of the giant wide bore drip tips, you can drip down onto your build straight through the drip tip without even removing the top cap. That is only possible if you haven’t inserted the PEEK honeycomb spit back protector!Infinite CLT V3 Mini RDA

For my own build I went with 8 wraps of 0.4mm kanthal with a 3mm coil diameter which still left me with a lot of room to play with in the deck. I raised the coils slightly so that they were roughly in line with the middle airflow slit, centered them, and used a generous amount of Muji wick to soak up as much juice as possible.

The three middle airflow slits are easily adjusted and can be really fine tuned to suit your vaping style, single coil configurations are possible here if that is what you prefer!

How Does The Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 Mini Perform?

The Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 Mini was designed with chasing clouds in mind, and it does that job extremely well.

In fact, I would say it is one of the absolute best RDA’s around when it comes to cloud chasing! The triple stacked airflow system provides a very airy vape when fully open, with huge volumes of vapor produced even at 40w and using 50/50 juice, but there is not much of a loss in flavor either with the airflow wide open due to the way the air hits your coils through the airflow slits.Infinite V3+ CLT V3 mini base

The wide bore drip tips maximize the amount of vapor inhaled as they are virtually the same width as the top cap itself, plus this allows you to drip juice down into the deck without even needing to remove the top cap.

Should you find that you are getting a bit of juice spitting back onto your tongue, simply insert the spit back protector underneath the drip tip, and this pretty much negates spit back entirely, without much compromise to your vape.

You can take the RDA up to really high wattage without any fears, as it handles it very well and the RDA itself doesn’t get too hot when taking it over 100w, thanks to the PEEK insulator used.

Flavor has been improved over the CLT V3 by reducing the height of the RDA to a mere 22.5mm, the same height as the Freakshow Mini, which is widely regarded as one of the best flavor RDA’s around.

The Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 Mini can even compete with the Freakshow Mini on flavor, and any of the best flavor RDA’s available, the flavor from this RDA really is incredible no matter what airflow setting you have it on.

I can’t stress enough just how well this RDA performs, it truly is among the very best around when it comes to performance.

Final Thoughts

Well to sum up this RDA in one word it would be- outstanding. The Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 Mini has to be one of the very best RDA’s out there right now. You want flavour? The Project Sub Ohm Edition Infinite CLT V3 Mini RDA offers it in droves. You want clouds?

You will be blowing absolutely massive clouds thanks to the triple stacked adjustable airflow system and huge “ultrabore” drip tip combined with massive deck space allowing for any number of builds to be installed. It is just a really incredible RDA.

I really struggled to find any negatives with the Project Sub Ohm Infinite CLT V3 Mini RDA. It truly is absolutely stunning, and outperforms pretty much anything available these days. Go ahead and buy one if you are considering it, you won’t be disappointed at all. This is one of the best RDA’s I have ever experienced.

Vaping full time since 2012, started on cigalikes for a while then curiosity got the better of me and I moved onto an vape pens, a month or two later I was seeing people walking around with these interesting shiny tubes and I thought 'I gotta get one of those'. Before I knew it a trip down to my local B&M got me my first VW mod, an Innokin SVD, paired with an iClear 30, and I was hooked. Soon after that I was jumping to VW mods both box and tube shaped, before I then made the jump to rebuilding and thus sub ohming, with my first RDA and mech mod. These days I've come back to convenience and mainly use pods, disposables and the VOOPOO Drag H40. Most importantly I am still loving vaping!
