Well where do I start with this bundle of Simian Vapes E-liquid….
In our Ecigclick Awards we have a category for “Best Value E-liquids”.
One of the nominees was a new company called Simian Vapes.
As a result of this the lovely Karl who is the big monkey at Simian asked would we like to try some of his new range for review.
Of course we would – in fact Karl is an absolute star! He has had me and Ecigclick main man Jonny in stitches!
I mean here is an extract of the email Karl sent us telling us about the misunderstood genius who is Flavour Monkey…
You see, Flavor Monkey was roaming wild in the Borneo Jungle until our Bearded wizard stumbled across him and kidnapped him, he was brought back to our north eastern shore and trained by me in the art of magical flavors, although this sounds bad, he is grateful for his new life chained in the clean room, unfortunately he is now westernised and has become somewhat a Chav Monkey, occasionaLly he breaks free and steals Jack Daniels from my Liquour cupboard.
We don’t usually find out until we see CCTV footage of him on a stolen motorcycle wheelying up the A19 on the back wheel of a stolen motorcycle flipping the bird at other casual road users.Hence why he is locked up in the Clean room.
As you may be aware the word “Simian” means Ape or Monkey – so you understand now…
So I’m wicking up the Kaees Aladdin and preparing to pop off to fairy land with our bonkers mate Karl!
I was sent 3 different flavours to try:
- Bloodriders Delight
- Angels Blood
- Winterfell Berries
The liquids are 80%VG and Zero nicotine. Simian also sent me some nic shots for these bless them and they are Short Fill bottles – but I won’t add them as I want to get the full flavour. I am hardcore like that you know.

As always E-liquid reviews are tricky, I hate coffee and cinnamon – but plenty of people love them – so there is always an element of personal preference – but will try my best to give you an insight of what to expect with these.

Bloodriders Delight
Simian Vapes say…
“Raspberry and Lychee melded together by the blade of a bloodrider on his return from hunting westeros soldiers with the Dothraki horde.”Â
I say….
Ooh this smells really Tart!
In fact it smells so tart it could suck the pants up my bottom…
However vaping this is much more comforting!
The description makes this feel vibrant and exciting however it is really comforting and snuggly to me – I would call it a warm feathery fluffball recliner…
So this has a sharper fruity tang to it, not sickly but there is a fragrance quality to it on the exhale which isn’t as nice as the other liquids.
I personally would like more raspberry to this but that is simply my taste preference. There is a bit too much of the sour vibe to this one.
Sadly the Game Of Thrones stuff is a bit lost on me – I only know as I had to Google Westeros and Dothraki – I thought they may have been some medical condition.
Angels Blood
Simian Vapes say…
“the sweetest of summer fruits tainted with menthol, Made from real Angels. “
I say….
This is surprising, I expected more berries in this from the description but it is really light fruits.
A lot more menthol in this than the Winterfell Berries so it’s a much lighter and cooler vape – and didn’t find any angel wings to be spitting out.
I see green fruits when I vape this – rather than red and purple berries, I see tart apples, pears, grapes etc.
This is a tasty liquid but slightly milder and cooler than I was expecting. Still lovely though but hasn’t beaten the Winterfell Berries for me.
Winterfell Berries
Simian Vapes say…
“a blend of Lychee, blueberry, Raspberry and just a hint of menthol to reminisce over the northern kingdom of Winterfell whilst sat by the open fire in your castle. “
I say….
This smells divine a real berry blast.
However when you vape it – it is a lot more timid than you expect with quite an icy gust behind it.
I know that the Simian Vapes description is bonkers but when you have a toot on this it is so accurate!
It’s all enchantment and fairy tale it is beautiful. You know the mist that flutters over Disney castles – that is the vapour you get from this!
I was expecting it to be a bit more brutal in the flavour department, the smell promises a massive hit but it is slightly more timid in real life.
That isn’t to say there is no flavour – not at all – just slightly less than I was expecting.
I could and no doubt will happily vape this whole 90ml worth I think! This is a proper all day vape, although sweet there is not a hint of sickly about this at all – I am really loving this a lot. This is a 10 out of 10 for me!
Final Verdict
Well the Winterfell Berries just stands out head and shoulders here, a 10 out of 10 from me all day long – beautiful really beautiful. It makes me want to give the old Jack Daniels swigging flavour monkey a massive cuddle.
Flavour monkey did well with the Bloodrider and the Angel Blood but they are not on the same scale as Winterfell.
Sorry the GOT references are over my head!
One thing of note is the prices, starting at an excellent £12 for 90ml. The price jumps just a touch if you add nic shots but still a relative bargain.
So being a part of Simian Vapes world is a very happy joyful place and I would be happy to visit there any time!
