Today we will be looking at The Troll RTA which is a new addition to Wotofo’s collection of rebuildable tank atomisers.
This was sent free of charge for the purposes of this review. As always our views are our own.
Wotofo is a company based in China and have been operating since 2009. Since then they have released atomisers such as the Troll V2, Freakshow and Sapor RDA’s and the Serpent and Conqueror RTA’s.

Build Quality & Design
Just WOW. I absolutely love the look of this RTA!
The delrin drip tip/top cap assembly is the correct size and has a threaded stainless steel insert to prevent cross threading when screwing it back on. 
The chamber inside the tank is on stilts to allow a decent amount of juice flow underneath, to the wicks that come out the bottom of the chamber/chimney section.
The posts on the deck are unlike any I have seen before. They are more of a horizontal design, sandwiched on top of each other, but separated by a peek insulator.
But don’t let this deter you, it is just as easy as any standard deck to build on, if not, easier!
The airflow control ring is nice and smooth, but has the right amount of resistance to prevent it from being accidentally adjusted whilst in the pocket or when in use.
It slightly loosens up when e-liquid gets on the o-rings, but not too much.
All the threads on the device are clean and crisp. There are no squeaks or sticking during assembly and disassembly.
Prebuilt Clapton Coils
Included in the Troll RTA are three prebuilt clapton coils. On closer inspection, I believe that they are fused claptons (two internal cores). 
They are of good quality and I have found no problems with them whatsoever. They fit nicely on the deck and produce some lovely flavour and clouds!
Accessories
- The big screwdriver is great. Not your usual little blue thing! This helps you unscrew the grub screws fairly easily.
- There are plenty of spare o-rings and also a blue and red one so you can swap the standard black one out for one of these to match your device.
- The cotton was your usual organic square cotton pad. Nothing to write home about, but I personally prefer not to use this type as it doesn’t offer the best flavour for your atomiser.
How Does The Wotofo Troll RTA Perform?
After filling the tank up with juice, I had no problems with any leaking or flooding.
Just make sure you get the right amount of cotton on the deck and cut the ends at an angle to get the best e-liquid delivery to your coils.
Once you have this set up correctly, the flavour and clouds are amazing throughout all the wattage ranges
How To Fill
Simply unscrew the top-cap/drip-tip assembly and you are met with two kidney shaped holes either side of the chimney.
The holes are big enough to let a good volume of e-liquid in and air to escape out the other side.
Just remember to close off the airflow before you fill the tank up to avoid any possible leaks!
Coil Performance (Included Fused Clapton Coils)
So, my two coils paired in the RTA came out to around about 0.27ohms.
40w Test:
With the airflow fully open, you get a nice, lukewarm vape. No spit-back and an alright amount of flavour.
The vapour production was good, but I feel that a higher wattage would be better.
50w Test: Again, the airflow fully open.
A slightly warmer vape than before, still no spit-back and the flavours seem to be coming through a lot more than at the previous 40w.
60w Test: Airflow fully open again
There is a slight warmer feel to the vape but a few flavours were a lot more prominant.
Still, absolutely no spitback and the clouds were brilliant! No dryness, no loss of flavour.
THIS IS THE SWEET SPOT!
My sweet spot was at 60w with the airflow fully open. A nice warm vape, great clouds and the flavour is out of this world!
Obviously this may differ from user to user, but it works well for me!
Ease Of Build
The Troll RTA is extremely easy to build on, the deck is a nice size, the holes for your coil legs have enough room for some complex coils and the wick nicely tucks into the two wicking holes at the bottom of the deck.
Overall no problems whatsoever with building on this deck!

What I Like
Well, what can I say. This RTA is a dream to build on, a dream to wick and a dream to use. The flavour is amazing and the clouds are great!
What I Dislike
I am honestly finding little to nothing to dislike about this RTA.
If I was being nit-picky, I could possibly say that the lack of option to replace the drip tip is a negative, but in all honesty, why would you?
The one included is great and I wouldn’t change it at all!
Final Review Verdict
I’m loving the Wotofo Troll RTA! Amazing flavour, great clouds and it looks and feels fantastic!
It does drink the juice quite a bit, but it is worth it considering the flavour that you are getting from this RTA

- Drip tip isn’t replaceable
If I Lost or Broke this RTA would I Replace It?
Indeed I would, The Troll RTA is an absolutely smashing RTA, and if I’m completely honest, it is one of the best that I have used in terms of form, function, flavour, clouds and ease of build.
Definitely worth the money!
