    • The Crown 3 isn’t in stores as of yet. I would think the next week or so and it should have landed.

If your in the UK though the product hasn’t been made to comply with European TPD laws so it shouldn’t be available here but I’m guessing somewhere will be selling it in the UK.

Update: The Uwell Crown 3 Mini is being released that is TPD compliant with a 2ml tank capacity.

        • errrrrrrmmmm.. The TPD actually, officially, came into effect on May 20th 2016 Simon.

I must admit though what you are referring to ‘What you can sell between November 2016 and May 2017’ can be confusing.

So, quick question for you Simon. When reading the below, official, .Gov pages on the TPD regulations.

Do you interpret the information as the UWELL Crown 3 tank as being legal to sell in the UK upto the 20th May 2017? Or any new 2ml+ Tank that has been released since?

On more than one occasion they state the following (or similar to):

          As a reminder:

“From 20 November 2016, producers may only sell batches of a product that does not comply with the TPD requirements if a notification has been submitted and the batch was produced before 20 November 2016.”
          Source

And also this PDF states the following

          Non-compliant product:
You may not manufacture product that is not TPD compliant after 19 November 2016. Provided you have made a notification, you can sell any remaining stocks you hold of non-compliant product you have made prior to 20 November 2016 until 20 May 2017″

I’ll stick my neck out and say Uwell didn’t produce the any batch of the Crown 3 prior to November 19 last year. I could be wrong though.. If you know differently then be interesting to know.

Retailers are not ‘legally’ supposed to ‘re-stock’ 2ml+ non-TPD compliant tanks that were manufactured after 19th November 2016. But we all know that that hasn’t been the case so far.

Despite all the above though, I wouldn’t bet against the Crown 3 being available either. Even though it shouldn’t be ‘legal’.

My guess is the powers that be aren’t that bothered checking and will allow anything to be sold upto May 20th 17. It would be a big task to police that.
