It is a bit bonkers – read on to find out more…
What To Expect From The Smok RPM 160 Kit?
The reason I find this kit a bit bonkers is that it uses 2×18650 batteries and yet is still a “pod mod“.
Smok claimed on their Facebook page this would be the first dual 18650 pod mod. However the Artery Nugget GT is similar with 2 batteries. It is debatable who was first!
Please excuse any lack of detail here as Smok have not featured this on their official website yet so I am scouring vendor pages for information. Which of course might have errors or be subject to change before the official Smok release.
This does look more like a box mod than a pod but for now let’s just ride with it…
The mod part will output between 1-160W in variable wattage mode. I am not sure yet if other power modes are included.
Running the device is the IQ-160 chipset which is a higher power version of the chip used in the other RPM devices.
The front of the mod houses the 0.96in colour TFT screen and below that is a micro USB charge port.
You get two different pods in the kit, which are both refillable and have removable coils:
- RGC pod – this is compatible with the RGC coil range and comes with the 0.17ohm conical mesh coil
- RPM pod – this is compatible with the RPM coil range and comes with the 0.4ohm RPM mesh coil.
The collar at the base of the pod allows you to adjust the incoming air to your preference.
Here is a short video from the Smok Youtube channel giving you a closer look.
There appears to be 6 colours to choose from: Black, Silver, Gold, Blue, Red and Rainbow.

We are a bit short on detail so far as to what this kit has to offer – but it sure is a bit crazy. It would be good if there will be a 510 adaptor so you can use standard tanks on this kit.
Oh and I wonder why the size specifications have not been released yet? Is it going to be massive?
Do you think the Smok RPM 160 Kit is slightly batsh*t or is it just me? Comment in the section below!
