Compak OB One previewThe OB One Starter Kit by Compak Previewed

The Compak OB One starter kit is a Pod Mod kit by the brand Compak. Compak appear to be part of the Sigelei company.

Apart from E-liquid you have all you need to start vaping in this little kit. So may be a good introduction to vaping for a smoker.

This has an internal 1100mAh battery which is pretty respectable for a small device.

There is a refillable pod tank which is 2ml capacity. The tank includes a 1.6ohm Kanthal Coil. The body also has a viewing window to see the e-liquid level in the tank.

A micro USB port on the side allows you to charge the battery with a maximum of DC 5V/1.0A – which is quicker than some devices which only use 0.5A charging.

There are some electrical safety features so it is ideal for newbies :

  • Low voltage protection
  • Short circuit protection
  • Low resistance protection
  • Overheat protection

You can buy the OB One in four colours: Black, Blue, Red and Green.

This looks quite cute and similar to the iCare 2 in design. However the OB One has a much bigger battery which will last longer between charges.

The coil resistance and design point to this being a Mouth to lung (MTL) device aimed at smokers or those giving up smoking.

The refillable tank is a plus point for me – I am often put off by mods where you can only buy pre-filled tanks because you are then chained to the same brand and their range of flavours/strengths. Plus bottles of E-liquid are much cheaper than pre-filled tanks.

This isn’t the cheapest Pod Mod device – but by no means expensive – I do quite like the look of this!

Would you treat a smoker you know to one of these – or do you fancy one yourself? Let me know in the comments below.
