So what are the best tobacco e-liquids out there?

Given there’s thousands of gallons of tobacco flavoured vape juice sloshing around the world, it’s a tough question for sure!

best tobacco e-liquids

Tobacco based e-liquids are usually the first choice for new vapers and over the years they have improved massively.

I’m coming from this after reviewing [and trying] VERY many flavours – some good and some not so 😉

So remember, taste is subjective as in what I might like you might not and vice versa…

So let’s take a look at what I think are indeed the best tobacco flavoured e-liquids out there, from the robust and deep to the light and fruity.

As well as the budget and premium and a couple of nicotine salts – perfect for the absolute beginner to vaping, or a more established one that still needs a good strong nic hit.

1. Black Note – Forte [Editors Choice]

Best Tobacco Vape JuiceWith a Burley tobacco base and the leaves grown and dried by the sun in Italy, this is a robust and deeply flavourful tobacco e-liquid.

Like all the amazing Black Note range, this is a Naturally Extracted Tobacco [NET] e-liquid with considerable time, effort and skill taken to get it just right.

Just right is an understatement – this one in particular is quite simply sublime to vape on.

Cigar lovers will definitely like it, however those of you craving a strong tobacco hit should also give it a try.

It’s deep, rich and explodes with layer upon layer of flavour combos across your taste buds.

The throat hit is as close to a real lit tobacco experience you can get – think Marlboro Red!

On the exhale the natural tobacco sweetness stops this one from being too harsh and dry.

Indeed it smooths out the more you exhale, leaving a tangy sweet tobacco taste that lingers.

Bloody lovely! Be sure to check out the other Black Note flavours in the range if Burley is not your thing

2. JAC Vapour Smoking Range – UK Tobacco [Best Nic Salt Tobacco Flavour]

Best Nic Salt Tobacco E-liquid - JAC smoking uk tobacco
Nicotine Salts are the perfect introduction to vaping for brand new vapers – or those who need a strong nic hit but without the harshness some juice can give at higher nicotine levels.

BTW…you can read more about nic salts via the link above.

OK…

JAC Vapour is a UK based vape company producing some of the best vape kits and tastiest e-liquids in the world.

I’m a massive fan and this particular budget blend was very impressive given the price tag.

The Smoking range is exactly that – meant to mimic that lit cigarette experience and trust me it REALLY does.

The UK Tobacco flavour is another I reviewed and I bloody loved it saying:

Flavour wise it hits the spot too with a perfectly balanced dryness with layers of earthy notes finished off on the exhale with a hint of sweetness – reminiscent of a good RY4 blend.

Definitely one for beginners!

As I said, perfect for those of you new to vaping or if you still crave the odd fag now and then 😉

3. Black Note – Prelude [Best Virginia Tobacco E-liquid]

Black Note Prelude tobacco vape juiceIf you’ve always been a roll-up make your own smoker, then this is the one for you.

Saying that, Prelude is perhaps one of the milder Black Note NET (Naturally Extracted Tobacco) e-liquids in the range, but don’t let that put you off!

It’s definitely a smoother vape thanks to the golden Virginia tobacco base notes, and the throat hit is much smoother than most – but that flavour – wow!

It’s a very smooth inhale but with an underlying natural sweetness that really comes to the fore on the exhale.

Perfect blending to say the least and the smell from this one is sweet sweet tobacco!

One for an all day vape for sure and one that once you try – you won’t stop going back to.

4. JAC Vapour Standard Range [Best Value Tobacco E-liquid]

JAC Vapour Standard Range [Best Value Tobacco E-liquid]

I’m sure you’ve all tried a cheap ‘n nasty tobacco flavoured e-liquid once or twice in your vaping journey!

But cheap or budget doesn’t necessarily mean a cheap or nasty flavour!

And that’s why newbies to e-cigarettes, that are still getting a ‘feel for vaping’ – should take a look at this line of e-liquids.

There’s 15 flavours in total ranging from fruit to tobacco and there’s even a bargain priced 4 pack to sample should you wish.

Just take a look at the customer reviews – pretty much all 5 star and that in itself is a feat!

5. Black Note V Line – English Blend POP [Best Pipe Tobacco E-Liquid]

Best Pipe tobacco e juice - black note v e-liquids pop english blend

If you’re thinking of moving away from tobacco flavoured e-liquids onto fruits, this one is a great stepping stone.

I’ve been vaping for over 8 years now, and still enjoy my morning tobacco flavoured juice and this one blew me away when I reviewed the range.

You’re still getting a whack of tasty tobacco on the inhale but those citrus fruit flavours edge in as it hits your tonsils with a gentle, but reassuring tickle.

It’s the exhale where the fruit and tobacco combine creating a wondrous taste – so moreish it’s untrue!

Think rich, robust pipe tobacco smoothed out by the sweet fruit notes with an amazing aroma!

Perfectly blended tobacco flavoured e-liquid so like real pipe tobacco it’s untrue.

6. Black Note V E-liquid – HOUSE [Best Turkish Tobacco E-Liquid]

Best Turkish Tobacco E-liquid - black note v house

They call this one an Oriental Blend – however it’s really a Turkish Blend – the name’s just stuck over the years.

Anyone that’s tried Turkish tobacco will absolutely adore this tobacco flavoured e-liquid.

I reviewed it very recently and was blown away saying:

What can I say other than this is a quite extraordinary tobacco flavoured e-liquid – and then some!

It hints of dryness – transforms to a deep rich body – washes in the perfect amount of natural sweetness before that hint of spice adds yet another amazing layer.

As I said, this one really does bring the House down 😉

7. Pachamama – Apple Tobacco [Best Fruit Tobacco E Juice]

Best fruit tobacco vape juice

This is another nic salt flavoured e-liquid but with crunchy crisp apple flavours added.

I reviewed this one as well and absolutely loved it writing:

The inhale is sheer bliss with the warm dryness of the tobacco taken on by the moist juicy apples.

For a nic salt it’s an impressive throat hit too.

It’s that exhale where the sweetness of the tobacco mixes with the the fresh juicy apples that makes this one a stunner.

Cant say more than that – a perfect fruit and tobacco flavoured vape!

Best Tobacco Vape Juice – Final Verdict

The world of vaping is literally swimming in tobacco flavoured e-juice, some good and some bloody awful.

As with all ‘best of posts‘ it can be down to personal taste – however I’m a fussy bugger and really take e-liquids to task when reviewing.

So trust me when I say I’ve tried literally hundreds of tobacco flavoured e-liquids and these really are some of the very best out there.

If I’ve missed your favourite blend in the best tobacco flavoured e-liquid run down – let me know in the comments below.

And definitely tell me why it deserves it’s spot – I’m always on the hunt for good tobacco flavoured e-liquids 😉

I have simpler vape tastes these days - I never leave home without a Caliburn G, a Vaporesso Luxe 40 or Innokin EQ FLTR and a CBD vape pen or bottle of CBD drops in my rucksack...or indeed an Aspire Nautilus Prime X in my pocket... At home I'll be using various mods topped with the GeekVape Zeus X RTA or the Signature Mods Mono SQ topped with the Augvape BTFC RDA... I'm a former journalist and now a writer and sometimes author... I'm ex Army - adore dogs and never happier than hiking over the hills or with a good book on a beach.

  1. Veev (part of IQOS) has a tobacco flavor. It tastes like ashtray and latakia. Absolutely nasty – absolutely LOVE IT!!! It is the closest one can get to cigarette taste – even friends that smoke tobacco and can’t stand vaping have tried it and said they could go with that easy. The problem is that is a pod system (quite expensive) and even so – they don’t always have it in stock.

Is there any captain that can point towards a nasty ashtray & latakia tasting liquid?

  2. I wish someone could replicate Juul’s Virginia Tobacco. I have tried all of black notes, BLVK’s, rx vapes, many many others and nothing compares. I wish i could find the needle in the haystack because i vape a ton. Usually a 4 pack of juul pods every 1-2 days which are about $19 per 4 pack 5-6 times a week so you get the idea. Problem is everyones tastebuds are different and always says try this or that and I always leave disappointed. If they would just bottle it Im sure they would make a killing.

  3. Kentucky Black Label premium tobacco flavor e-juice from Vermilion River in Minnesota is exceptionally good along with all of their different tobacco flavors, they have quite a few. They have many really good juices as well. Give them a try, you won’t be sorry.

  4. I’ll be trying Black note cavendish in a day or two after I recieve the shipment. Not available in my country but I’ll for sure share my experience once I get my hands on it 😊

    • How did you like it I am looking for something like Marlboro reds…I cannot stand a sweet taste when I am vaping.

  5. Thanks Neil, I think we met in Vapefest but not sure..
I vape almost a decade, only tobacco and I agree with few other comments in here. El Toro is a league above anything else in tobacco liquids and I am including USA not just the UK. I have vaped 100s tobaccos including the big names like Black Note but I am always back to my Cigarillos. For me the top list is:
    1. El Toro Cigarillos
    2. El Toro Puros
    3. Black Note Virginia
    4. El Toro Eden (best fruit tobacco, super organic apple)
I understand that El Toro and House of Liquid overall are very expensive and I agree but it is worth every penny.

PS: I don’t care for any tobacco liquid with salts as the nicotine doesn’t have the tobacco aroma.

  6. The El Toro range from House of Liquid is a class above everything you have in your list in my opinion and I believe most of the serious tobacco vapers will agree. It’s quite a sin that El Toro Puros is not on top of this list.

    • Yeah heard good things about El Toro, have yet to try them hence the reason they are not currently listed. What did you think of Black Note when you tried it?

    • El-Toro/House of Liquid does not make its own e-liquids! They have them made for them by a flavour company called Concept Liquids… A bit like a ghost producer in the music industry who writes other people’s music, Concept creates tobacco flavours which they then wholesale white label for companies like El Toro to stick their own brand on. Concept also supplies Red Vape and a few other brands abroad.

      • Sorry but you are way wrong. House of Liquid and their founder Georgio created the Concept liquids as a production lab for the House of Liquid. Georgio and these guys created the 1st commercial N.E.T liquid worldwide, El Toro Cigarillos Naturales was called and those of us vaping in 2010 we remember. The whole NET industry started by these people.

  7. Durante anos usei o don cristo e foi o que ajudou a deixar de fumar, experimentei varios ry4 ainda uso de vez em quando american blend e muitos outros agora estou usando bombo supra e é agradável mas gosto muito de um bom atabacado forte e charuto .

  8. Doozy’s Baccy roots “five states” baccy roots “original” are sensational you can even mix them to different taste levels of sweetness.glas basix butterscotch reserve is the best vape I’ve ever imo I’ve vaped your many years tried many tobaccos

  9. Seems like the JAC standard range is being discontinued although they still have a few in stock. Their relacement 22 range is getting a big thumbs down from users on their site. Why do so many manufacturers ditch successful and popular brands, replace them with gunk, and then ignore negative customer feedback? Blu had a great tobacco product and then ruined it a few years back. The customer feedback is hilarious. The major tobacco companies also had some great products e.g. Phillip Morris (VIVID) Golden Tobacco and Gallaher (LOGIC LQD) Tobacco, which were my go to products, but both have now abandoned the e-liquid markets opting for prefilled disposable cartridge systems that no one asked for, and I suspect few will want. My basic requirement, aside from flavour/ taste is that the liquid should be colourless – anything else I find quickly mucks up the passages, with what I suspect are some unpleasant additives.

  10. I’v tried real apple tobacco from holland and barrets and it’s disgusting. For over 8 years I have been vaping Liqua American blend and Liqua Traditional tobacco, both are amazing have been my everyday all day, and I never get tired of them, so that must count for something, [I do mix them together too and mix with heisenburg] Recently I have given Smooth tobacco by Kilo a try and I’m loving it and I’v tried a lot over the years. I do like the Black Notes but found them a bit too expensive.

  11. Coffee and tobacco I get, but I really don’t get the Pacha Mama Apple Tobacco, sounds like such a strange combination. Probably something that I know I won’t like, but am intrigued enough to try it just to prove my assumption either way…

  12. so each time you had a cigarette or pipe smoke in the past, before you started vaping, you enjoyed being taken back to childhood and the smell of your grand dad!! – 20 a day on average is a lot of trips to the past!

  13. i tried Jack Vapour and the Black note recommended juices but none seem to match the taste and feel of real tobacco exactly. No real hit! Sort of a diluted physicality – lacks that acidic sort of feel you get at the back of your tongue/throat when smoking – sharp, intense like your first cigarette. hard to describe – BUT V2 red is what I have used for 3 years now and nothing, nothing compares to it – have you tried that!”! It really does feels like tobacco. Review that with its piers here and see what I mean!
    Lu

  14. I’m pleased for some recommendations, thank you! I’ve tried so many and rarely find anything that suits me. I have settled for a mixture of Vampire Vapes Sweet Tobacco and Smooth Weston, I find the VV vape liquids of excellent quality.

  15. The EL TORO range by House of Liquid is without any doubt the top tobacco range in the world and I am sure that can be confirmed by any committed tobacco liquid vaper out there. To have any list of top tobaccos without the El Toro Cigarillos is a sin..

  16. I got hooked by using a blu tobacco cig.
The flavor was the best I have ever tasted.
    I tried everything after that.
I remember when american tobaccco was like cotton candy. JUNK
All the so called tobacco flavors were caramel based, I assume for the color.
    None tasted like tobacco.
Have you tried naturally extracted tobacco?

  17. Old captain tobacco e-liquid from ‘bestcigliquid’ is one of my favourites. Its a thick nut,rum and chocolate flavoured net tobacco.Takes me back to my childhood with the smell of my grandad’s pipe.👍👍👍
