SKE really aren’t resting on their laurels, as another month brings the release of another SKE pod system- the SKE CL2000!
This follows on from the recently released SKE 600 Pro and the SKE Bar, which are two prefilled pod systems that SKE developed to replace their Crystal Bar, which made SKE a true vaping behemoth and one of the most recognisable names in the vaping industry.
What Can We Expect From The SKE CL2000?
When designing the CL2000, SKE undertook extensive market research and found that with the rise in refillable and user-friendly prefilled pod vapes, consumers were increasingly searching for durable and stylish vapes that replicated the taste of iconic disposables such as the SKE Crystal Bar.
With that in mind, SKE came up with the CL2000- a replaceable user-friendly pod system that merges the convenient experience of a disposable vape with the long-term convenience of a reusable pod system.
Boasting SKE’s timeless elegant, transparent design, the CL2000 has been designed for effortless operation utilising an insert and click pod design with auto-refill technology that ensures uninterrupted performance without any hassle.
You can also vape worry-free, as the built in 850mAh battery keeps you vaping all day long, and you can easily check how much e-liquid remains at a glance thanks to the transparent pod design.
20 different flavours have been developed for the SKE CL2000 range, featuring some timeless classics that vapers will feel right at home with, as well as some brand new blends to try out.
The prefilled 1.8ml pod and 2.2ml refill container gives you a total of 4ml worth of vaping, so you can puff away on one of these up to 2,000 times!

Design & Build Quality
For the design of their products, SKE have a formula that they stick to (the Classic Clear Look!) and it helps their products stand out, becoming instantly recognisable.
The device is housed within a transparent crystal-styled shell, with the SKE logo printed prominently on the front.
At the base of the device is a USB-C charging port, that has a basic LED battery life indicator present below it.
Now, these are substantially larger than an SKE Bar, weighing in at around 60g!
I definitely noticed one of these in my pocket when carrying it around, they feel quite large and weighty in hand as well.
That being said, they are designed ergonomically, making them comfortable to hold and use.
Quick Start Guide
The SKE CL2000 is made up of the device itself, as well as a prefilled 1.8ml pod and 2.2ml refill container.
Due to TPD regulations, the pod and refill container need to be assembled first. This is very easy to do, simply remove the silicone covers from the pod and refill container, click them together and insert them into the device.
After you have inserted the assembled pod and refill container, just take a puff on the mouthpiece to vape, as this features an auto-draw vape system.
Once you have finished the pod and refill container, you can keep hold of the device and simply purchase a new pod refill kit.
Charging
The SKE CL2000 charges via the USB-C charging port that is located at the base of the device, and the 850mAh battery can be recharged multiple times meaning that you can get a lot of use out of the device itself if you purchase refill kits for it.
Simply plug in a USB-C charging cable, lay the device on its side and let it charge until the battery light indicator blinks out.
Flavours
SKE have developed 20 different flavours for the CL2000 range, there are 16 ‘classic’ SKE flavours to be found here as well as 4 brand new ones specifically developed for the CL2000 range!
Flavours available are- Banana, Blueberry Raspberries, Bubble Cherry, Cherry Ice, Choc Mint, Cola Ice, Fruit Gum, Kiwi Passion Fruit, Lemon & Lime, Lemon Sour Fudge, Med Citrus Tart, Menthol, Menthol Mojito, Peach Ice, Pink Lemonade, Sour Pineapple, Spring Berry, Strawberry Ice and Watermelon Ice.
You’ll also be able to purchase refill pod packs for the CL2000 device, which means you don’t have to throw the device away and purchase a new one once you have finished your initial pod and refill container.
This also gives you the ability to swap different flavours in and out easily!
SKE sent me 10 different flavours to try out, and here are my thoughts on them…
Choc Mint
This is a very interesting flavour, I initially expected it to be some sort of chocolate mint ice cream type blend that was heavy on the chocolate but I couldn’t have been more wrong!
What hit me first was a wave of fresh, crisp mint flavour that was very refreshing. The chocolate flavouring came in more towards the exhale and provided quite a thick texture to the blend, whilst remaining slightly subtle in taste.
This was quite an interesting take on a chocolate and mint blend, it took me quite a few puffs to get used to it at first but I found myself enjoying it more and more as I vaped it!
Watermelon Strawberry
Out of the two flavours present, I would say that the strawberry is the most dominant of the two, and it pushes the watermelon flavouring into the background somewhat.
In fact, when I vape it, it is almost an aftertaste on the exhale!
The strawberry is a candied, strawberry-chewit styled flavour and the flavouring dial has been cranked up here. The watermelon is also a candy style flavour, but it is quite faint in comparison to the dominant strawberry.
Med Citrus Tart
This is one of the newer flavours that SKE have developed and they have come up with something that really appeals to a dessert vaper like myself!
Med Citrus Tart features some really tangy citrus zing to it, with notes of orange and lime, and I also get an undertone of buttery pastry to it as well, bringing the tart vibe!
Having dessert options like this as part of a prefilled pod range really pleases me, as it makes a change from all the disposable-styled fruit flavours!
Spring Berry
Spring Berry is arguably one of, if not the sweetest one out of the range!
I get a mixture of raspberries and strawberries with a hint of blackberry in the background, so the sweetness comes as no surprise.
It has a pleasant sharp note to it as well, which does help to cut through some of the sweetness!
Menthol
I like a menthol vape, but unfortunately I have never personally got on with SKE’s versions!
The same rings true here as well, the blend is just too mild and bland for me, though I do like a strong menthol.
There’s no real bite or chill in the blend at all, leaving it tasting like a flat mint flavour.
Blueberry Raspberries
If you have vaped Blueberry Raspberries from SKE before, you’ll be right at home with this!
The version blended for the CL2000 sticks to the formula, and tastes just as expected.
This one features more of a subtle blueberry and raspberry blend that lets the individual fruit flavours shine, along with a bit of a helping hand from some artificial sweetener!
There are sweet and sour notes to be found here and a whole heap of delightful berry flavouring.
Sour Pineapple
SKE’s takes on pineapple have been amongst my favourites, and Sour Pineapple is another absolute banger!
This features a very sweet and thick pineapple flavour, almost like a pineapple juice, before a sharp sour note kicks in which cuts through the sweetness from the pineapple flavour.
It makes for a very moreish vape, that I could not help puffing away on, in fact this one barely lasted me two days!
Kiwi Passion Fruit
This blend is more of a generic kiwi passionfruit blend, which is pretty heavy on the passionfruit and features the kiwi as more of an undertone.
On the inhale, I get a very sweet and exotic tasting passion fruit flavour, though this is perhaps a little too strong as I felt it tasted a little too artificial.
The kiwi flavouring rounds this off by adding a bit of sourness, but unfortunately it gets a bit lost in the wave of passionfruit flavour.
Lemon Sour Fudge
This is another new one from SKE and a very interesting dessert-styled blend!
It is also a pretty unique one, as there are few others like it, and I can safely say that in all my years of vaping I have never tried a combination like this!
I was initially wondering how the fudge would work with a sour lemon flavour but it just….does.
At the start, I get quite a tart almost Sicilian lemon type of flavour, that is very zingy. The fudge then sweeps in offering a very thick mouthfeel, and plenty of sweet fudge flavour to coat my palate.
I thought this would be a grower on me but I actually loved it from the get-go!
Banana
Well, this is just as I expected- an artificial banana that tastes like banana foam sweets- one of my least favourite flavour profiles!
Unfortunately this lacks the creaminess from an authentic banana flavour (that I actually do enjoy) and has quite a dry finish to it on the exhale.
Great if you are a fan of banana foam sweets, not so great if you aren’t!
How Does The SKE CL2000 Perform?
Inside each pod is a mesh coil system, and the airflow is fixed to deliver a tight mouth to lung vape that is similar to the one that you get from SKE’s Crystal Bars.
This style of vaping appeals to people making the switch from smoking to vaping, as the draw is fairly similar to what you would get from a cigarette, though not quite as tight.
Vapour production is fairly discreet too, you certainly won’t be blowing huge clouds with a CL2000!
Battery Life
These house an 850mAh battery, which is actually pretty substantial for a device such as this one.
It is easily enough to last a full day for even a heavy vaper such as myself, the majority of users will find that they probably won’t need to charge their CL2000 until well into their second day’s worth of use!
How Many Puffs Do You Get From An SKE CL2000?
SKE are quite open on their website that these are engineered to provide up to 2,000 puffs from the pod and refill container, though this may vary depending on an individuals vaping behaviours.
For example, if you take quite long and frequent puffs, your puff count will be reduced, whereas if you take shorter and less frequent puffs you will get more.
I counted each puff that I took on the Sour Pineapple one, and found that I got 934 long and frequent draws from this. That equated to about a day and a half worth of vaping!
Pros
- Very easy to set up and use
- Cigarette-like mouth to lung draw which appeals to beginner vapers
- A lot of different flavours to choose from
- Pods can be replaced without having to purchase a new device
- Can easily check how much e-liquid is left in the pod
- 850mAh battery will get you through the day
- Well priced at around £7 (depending on retailer) for a device
Cons
- Only available in 20mg nicotine salt strength
- Pretty large and weighty pod system, not the most pocket friendly one!
- Quite slow to charge
- Battery cannot be removed from the device
Final Verdict
With the CL2000, SKE are offering another option in the prefilled pod market- one that goes a little bigger on puffs and battery life when compared to their SKE 600 Pro and SKE Bar offerings!
The style of vape will be familiar to many, as will a lot of the flavour options available, which offers familiarity to those that might be making the switch over from SKE’s previous disposable ranges.
I do also have to give SKE top marks for some really interesting flavour combinations with their new blends, these switch things up a bit by offering something different from the disposable-like flavours that absolutely saturate the pre-filled pod market!
Finally, I think the price of these will make them a top seller. I had a look around online and you can pick these up for £7 or under, with the refill packs coming in at just under £5, which is a bargain for a beginner-friendly prefilled pod system that is also reusable!
