Alchemists Cupboard: Chocolate Limes

Alchemists Cupboard was a nominee in the 2013 Ecigclick Awards ‘Best Value E-Liquid’ category. This was the first I had heard of the brand and decided to buy a few samples to check out what they were all about.

So I purchased one of their 5ml sample packs, I went for the nicotine free option due to the fact I was just trying a few flavours and of course because they are the cheapest option:)

The flavours I chose were Chocolate Limes, Blackcurrant & Liquorice, Turkish Delight, Cola Cubes and Sherbert Lemons! As you may have noticed from my selection I have a thing for old school sweets!

The first flavour I cracked open was the Chocolate Limes (60PG/40VG), I enjoy a chocolate mint vape from time to time, add to this I used to LOVE Chocolate Limes sweets and I had pretty high hopes!

Flavour

The aroma from the bottle was more subtle than I expected but the smell was unmistakable, very much like the sweets.

On vaping the taste of chocolate limes lingers around the mouth on exhaling, a lovely flavour but for me I would say it is just a little too subtle.

This is not to say I didn’t enjoy it, it is unmistakeably ‘Chocolate Lime’ and the guys at Alchemists Cupboard have done a great job of recreating the flavour.

I would of liked more of an impact on the old taste buds and this kind of left me wanting just a little bit.

Vapour Volume

The 40% VG in the mix helps this e-liquid produce a good vapour volume.

Production Details

Alchemists Cupboard have some great information on their website about their e-liquid production facilities, which for me personally is always a good thing.

The liquids they use are pharmaceutical grade products purchased in the UK and they have built a Clean Room where they mix their product.

The clean room has an air locked gowning room and adheres to the ISO 14644 recommendations and guidelines for clean rooms & laboratories and has a hospital operating standard air filtering system.

Very impressive from what on the face of it looks like a small business but you can be assured they are taking the production stage very seriously as all e-liquid producers should.

Overall

I was really looking forward to the Chocolate Lime flavour and while the flavour was re-created well it was just too subtle for my taste buds.
