The Aspire Slym Kit is a new and quite odd device from the huge brand Aspire.slym banner

This is kind of a pod mod / vape pen / starter kit hybrid – let me explain!slym kit components

So instead of having a tank which you screw on and off the device – you have a kind of “pod”.slym pod installation

A pod is a removable tank which holds the e-liquid plus the heating element. Pods are generally for people who like ease of use and less mess.

This pod cannot be refilled – it is a “Closed Pod” system and you buy pre-filled pods and install them into the device.

I am not sure if you can simply buy the coils on their own as they don’t appear to be already installed in the pod as you have to install the coil before use?

The pod holds 1.8ml of liquid – I am not sure what flavours or brands will be supplied in compatible pods at present.

The main body of the device holds the 1000mAh battery which just outputs the battery power remaining – which will diminish as the battery drains.slym kit protections

There is an LED indicator light to display the battery capacity remaining. Use the included USB cable to charge the device.

An optional carry case is available to purchase separately.slym kit in case

aspire slym specsI think this is a good idea however I am not a fan of “Closed Pod” systems – so a refillable pod would really expand the market for this device?

If you think all your vapes are a bit too chubby – will you be buying the Aspire Slym Kit instead? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. …another pod kit from Aspire?!

So that’s the Breeze, Breeze 2, Spryte, Nautilus AIO, AVP, Cobble and now this one.

Well, it seems to be the way the industry is moving. Certainly there were a LOT of pods at Expo.
