I’ve tried for many an hour to find detail of the manufacturer of the Gloop e-liquid range.Gloop Range

However, the most I can find is that it’s made by the ladies and gents behind E cigarette Direct, one of the longest standing retailers (online and B&M) of e cigarette products.

Gloop E-liquid Range

The new Gloop range comes in 4 flavours: blueberry donut, caramel latte, hazelnut cookie and sticky strawberry cake.

On the face of it they all sound like pretty decent flavours to me. The name suggests a thick e-liquid and the 70:30 ratio certainly heads towards fulfilling that promise.

The bottles came in a 50ml shortfill bottles which allowed me to add a 10ml, 18mg nic shot to bring each bottle to my preferred 3mg strength.

Each bottle had a removable nozzle that just popped off and allowed me to satisfyingly squeeze the nic shot in without any mess or fuss.  Find out more here with our short fill e-liquid guide.

I received this sample free of charge for the purpose of this review and as always, my views are my own.

Please remember that tastes are subjective, and your experience may be different to mine.

For this review I used my SX-Mini G Class and the 24mm Dead Rabbit RDA with Fused Clapton coils coming in at 0.12Ohms, cleaned and re-wicked between each flavour. Let’s see if Gloop can land a place on our Best UK Vape Juice list.

Gloop | Blueberry Donut

Gloop Blueberry Donut

Gloop Says:

A finger-lickin’ donut whose centre is absolutely oozing with wham-bam blueberry jam.

I say:

For me this is the one that I was most interested in trying. Blueberry is one of my favourite fruit flavoured vapes and if you get it right, then I’ll drain the bottle quickly.

Squeezing the bottle gave me an instant blast of candied blueberries. From here I couldn’t wait to drench my coils.

The first inhale had me hooked. The succulent blueberry on the front made my mouth water. The exhale was balanced with thick, hearty doughnut flavours.

Both on the way in and on the way out, this e-liquid was very satisfying indeed and I’m almost certain there was a slight taste of sprinkles. But that could have been my tummy talking.

I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed a doughnut flavour this much. The rounded body complimented the gorgeous blueberry flavour all the way.

I’ll definitely be hunting this one out in my local store.

Gloop | Caramel Latte

Gloop Caramel Latte

Gloop Says:

Move over Star*ucks. This wide-eyed espresso with a double shot of caramel syrup is sure to kick start your tanks.

I say:

Right, for those of you that don’t know, I’m a lot of a coffee snob. I like proper, fresh coffee flavours. This is something I’m yet to find in an e-liquid. I’m sorry to say that this is lacking that special coffee flavour too. I mean, it smells like coffee but even coffee revels have a more true coffee smell than this e-liquid.

The selling point here has to be the caramel. It’s soft and very sweet. Almost like a caramel syrup you’d add to coffee. And that’s the bit I like about this e-liquid. In fact, it’s the flavour that hangs around on the exhale.

On the inhale the coffee flavour hits you but the exhale is smooth and sweet caramel. This is the part of the experience that I will keep with me.

Unfortunately, this flavour isn’t for me. Perhaps it’s because I’ve spoiled my coffee expectations over the years. But if Gloop release any other caramel based flavour, I’m certainly going to give them a try.

Gloop | Hazelnut Cookie

Gloop Hazelnut Cookie

Gloop Says:

Fresh from the oven and just waiting to be gobbled. A warm hazelnut cookie that’s delicious enough to turn anyone into a bit of a monster.

I say:

Squeezing the bottle gives an unmistakable smell of roasted hazelnuts, so points gained there. As I’m pulsing my coils, I get massive hazelnut smells. Finally, as I take my first draw I get…a savoury biscuit with a tiny bit of hazelnut on the back.

I think I might have expected a little too much from this liquid. There’s definite hazelnut, but not as much as you’d expect from the dominant flavour in the profile description.

Saying that it is quite moreish and I did keep vaping this for a few days after my initial testing. But at that point the flavour got a little too tired for me.

I like what Gloop tried to do here, but there needs to be as much nut flavour on the in hale as there is on the smell.

Gloop | Sticky Strawberry Cake

Gloop Sticky Strawberry Cake

Gloop Says:

A super moist strawberry cake that is heavy on the icing and just too damn tasty for its own good.

I say:

Oh my God, yum yum yum! This liquid is as perfectly balanced as the blueberry doughnut one was. The strawberry’s marry with the cake flavours very well indeed.

The smell is of soft strawberries. I glugged this liquid onto my cotton conscious that I didn’t was to get any dry hits. With draw after draw I became aware that I this e-liquid was one that you had to re-drip very frequently to keep the moist flavour coming through.

The inhale is simple strawberry, very fresh indeed. The exhale is where the cake sits and it’s light and fluffy tasting. There’s a sweetness all the way through the vape that makes you go mmmm. I kept going back to this flavour for many days after my initial testing and am feeling quite sad that it’s nearly all gone.

This is a good flavour and one that I don’t think you’ll be disappointed with.

Give it a try and let me know your thoughts.

Final Verdict

All 4 flavours in the Gloop e-liquid range had something to sing about. Ok, so perhaps I’m not the best person to judge more savoury flavours. But as we all know taste is subjective.

The clouds we good and solid. The 70:30 VG/PG blend did it’s job well on that front and I was cracking the kitchen door open more quickly than normal and even stuck the extractor fan on at one point.

The labels look a little childish and the name sounds like something my son would want me to buy for his slime collection. But younger (over 18) vapers may find that appealing so I don’t see anything wrong with it, after all the market has to be inclusive.

E-cigarette direct has these for sale for £14.99 each, which I think is about right. I’d be happier if I found them on a 2 for £20 offer, but I’m a tight bugger.

I know that I’ll be keeping the blueberry and strawberry offerings in my work bag and rotate through them ’til they run out. In my opinion these are the best of the range.

Red Beard Vapes

I began vaping 18 months ago after circumstances saw me reaching for the cigarettes once again. I have a fondness for tattoos and piercings but my beard is my most distinguishing feature and you will regularly find it enjoy a decent pint in a decent pub. MY DTL set up is an SX Mini G-Class with a 24mm dual coil Dead Rabbit. Vaping has quickly become a massive interest of mine.

gloop-e-liquid-reviewI was happy enough when reviewing this range. I knew just from the names that the fruity flavours would be more to my taste. That doesn't mean that the other 2 flavours aren't good, they just weren't good for me. The high VG content make for a smooth and cloudy vape. If you find them, try them.
