The Ally Pod Kit By Purge Previewed
The Purge Ally Pod Kit is the first Pod Mod device released by the usually high-end and high-priced brand Purge Mods.
So it looks like they want to join in with the Pod Mod fun now huh!
The Ally Pod Kit has appeared on the Purge social media pages but it is not officially listed on their website yet so I have had to scout around for info – so am sorry if this preview is a bit vague in places!
Where do I start! The main part I suppose the actual “mod” – where the battery lives would be a good place!
The body contains a 950mAh internal battery which is rechargeable via the USB port.
Also you get a 0.69in OLED screen and using that screen you can select your user mode:
The body frame is made from Stainless steel with removable side panels.
You put your e-liquid into the refillable pod which will hold up to 2ml of liquid which you add through a port in the side of the pod.
As the pod has an airflow adjustment Purge say this is suitable for MTL and DTL vapers. We tell you what these terms mean in our Guide to MTL and DTL vaping styles.
The pod has an 0.8ohm mesh coil installed and the coil is not replaceable.
There are 3 versions to choose from: Heat Treated, Stainless Steel and Suicide King.
Kit Includes
- Purge Ally Pod System
- USB Cable
- User manual

Wow this looks a nice little kit doesn’t it and it is not as expensive as I was expecting. However it is way above most “pod mod” buyers’ budget!

This device has come to a crowded, and very reasonably priced market. The majority of Pod Vapers are not very familiar with Purge as they are High End Mech Mod Manufacturers.
Not so long ago Purge was against pods in general and against Nic Salts claiming that they were “Ruining vaping”. Yet here we are.
The device is not made of stainless steel, but rather a Zinc Alloy. The material is cheaper and easier to clean while still being durable. The Resin panels are legit with magnets (pro). How ever the QC is questionable.
Out of a dozen devices 5 were scratched to hell and 4 had loose panels and hinges that rattled. On the “Heat Treated” version the “Carbon Fiber” was scratched to hell.
Not having a pod included at this price point will be enough to turn most customers off. At $12USD per 2-pack and only lasting 4-5 days on the .8 mesh that is getting costly.
I feel like Purge has taken a step in the wrong direction and perhaps would have been better off partnering with an established company like Lost Vape or VooPoo in order to achieve greatness in the Pod world.
Flavor seems ok, perhaps a bit muted and the battery life is on par with other pod mods. Generally will last someone who supplement their cape w/ another mod longer then a day. However, if this is your only mod expect to require a charge before the end of the day.
Do a review of the Ochid pod, The similarity’s between how they both work and the screen etc are very suspicious!
Blimey are they very close in operation then?
I know Squid Industries were part of the design of the Orchid and they have got their own pod mod out the “Squad” so I imagine they will be pretty similar too.

I’m sure I heard rumours they would be doing a rebuildable pod for this… if they bring out a rebuildable pod, then this gets a whole lot more interesting!
Yeah will keep an eye out for this – its a pricey bit of kit though already!
