Introduction – The VTX 200W Mod By Vapecige
The Vapecige VTX200 mod is from a somewhat obscure vaping brand to most mainstream vapers…I wonder if it’s got something to do with the smoking reference in their name which (I can’t help it), has just always struck me as WRONG, like Smok, Cigpet, blah, blah, you know what I’m feeling here.
The last thing we want is for our brands to feed the fallacy that we’re blowing out big, marshmallow flavoured clouds of smoke, for goodness sake. Rant over.
Maybe it’s not that and I’m the only OCD vaper around here, maybe it’s the fact that they only have a handful of products on their site and NO about page. What gear they do have on site, look dang sexy actually…like the DNA60 and Creator IM200W, the latter of which I actually really want to get my grubby chubs on.
The thing is, really dumb name or not, I’ve been vaping the hell out of this hellishly sinister looking VTX200 mod this week.
I usually ain’t one for the lightweight mod but the first time I tossed this (apparently battery-less) mod 5 meters across the room for my friend to check out the decal, only to have him fail at the catch (my throwing skills are flawless) and the 2 18650s go flying…well, my utter shock and resultant hysterics were enough to make me love this mod, even more than I already did.

Build Quality & Design
The days of 20’s Angst are done for me but if you’re a lover of Mushroomhead or Slipknot, killer clowns, IT and the Joker…then their product page and the Vapecige VTX200 decals will delight you! It took all of 3 minutes to become one of the family in my house, since it’s the only face that actually never stops smiling at me (yikes!) Jokes aside (hahaha), this mod looks freakin’ cool.
If you’re familiar with that ergonomic, lightweight feel on the Boxer Rader (an epic fail for me) or the Minikin V2 (only lighter) then you’ll get the drift. This mod will float in water like a dry leaf, if your other half decides that they can’t handle that clown anymore.
A curve sided triangular cylinder with a flattened side below the 510 where fire button screen, dual adjustment button and micro-USB port decent in a line…so much like the RADER that the silicon sleeves for it fit the VTX like a glove (just in case you have to visit your grandma or something, with the clown).
The upper surface has a very nicely machined SS 510 seating and deep, springy connect, with 2 small screws on the outer corners, the entire chassis is plastic and finish is marvellously textured, soft APB. If you’ve stroked on a resin mod, this feels the same. All buttons are finished in the same material, it is featherlight and feels awesome in hand and cool to the touch.
Park bench shaped indents run down the length of both out bounding sides and beneath said vertical benches, on each side of the mod, a discreet tab you can grab to remove the battery cover which encompasses the entire large, totally murderous looking side of the mod.
The base is where you’ll find the branding, with two more tiny screws and 3 itsy bitsy battery ventilation holes.
The battery cover pops off and on nice and sharp, thanks to 2 strong magnets on the mod end of affairs. There’s a long, neat, branded ribbon for ease of battery swap and two very…very snug battery slots, if your batteries are rewrapped like mine (like they should be…periodically), then you may have a little bit of a tough time with the installation, watch out for damaging those wraps.
That said, there is not a hint of a rattle absolutely anywhere on this mod. One very organised serial killer clown.
The buttons are a damn site more satisfyingly clicky than the aforementioned mods of same shape, they are fantastic, all.
The clown artworks are beautifully done, in a rubber paint that’s 3D enough so that even a vision impaired vaper can get the creepy creeps and enjoy! I got design C, the green haired shock-monster, who’s the most flagrantly insane of the fiendish crew, so yes…he suits me very well indeed.
Switching this mod, I got an even bigger shock, I hadn’t expected this little 0.9’’ TFT screen to light up up in a super bright rainbow of colours, with a psycho-rainbow frame around the screen that I haven’t seen on any other mod, especially not on such a compact screen.
A wealth of info is squeezed in, wattage, second, puff count, battery levels in pictorial and percentage form, resistance, voltage, temperature and Amps. I’ve never enjoyed a screen of this size quite so much. I love the fact that brands are so creative that I still get to be pleasantly surprised each week!
How Does The Vapecige VTX200 Perform?
This mod is through and through a true wattage, fast ramp vape…
I found the resistance readings accurate and the chipset very responsive. I had no trouble fitting a host of varied tank types and resistances and felt excellent ramp and performance through from a low 20W to the upper, 150+ range.
This mod, temp wise is somewhat cool, for the SS that I tried (no Ni in my inventory at the moment) and I’d actually call this more of a straight wattage mod, although the TC is there, it’s not a complex power curve job so if you’re looking for serious Temp accuracy and customisability, maybe not the Clown for you.
Nonetheless, for me, this mod is just perfect. Battery efficient, stays super cool with all that plastic and all those protections.

Final Review Verdict
I’ll say it straight I have absolutely no issues with the Vapecige VTX200 mod…I’ve been really pleasantly surprised by how much I like the feel, the look, the light weight, the screen and the perfect performance, through RAMP, true feel wattage and TC settings.
Would I buy the Vapecige VTX200 if lost…look at that face, of course, yes!
