Today I’m taking a look at the new Aspire Origin Bar 600 disposable vapes.

Aspire Origin Bar 600 disposable line up picAspire have been around longer than I’ve been a vaper. That makes me feel even older than I already am!

Over the years they’ve developed a reputation for being pioneers and innovators for the vaping community.

They’ve manufactured some truly remarkable devices with the likes of the Nautilus AIO, PockeX range and Minican series all helping to cement their place as front runners in the pod kit market.

Yet from what I can make out they’ve been somewhat hesitant when it comes to entering the disposable arena. Yes, we’ve had the rechargeable and refillable Aspire R1, disposable after around 8 refills so I guess that counts.

The One Up C1 is another example. But nothing really for us to get our chops around.

Until now.

Aspire clearly have every confidence in their latest venture, even showcasing it at the recent Paris Vape Expo.

I’m talking of course about the Aspire Origin Bar 600 disposable. Let’s get into it.

What Can We Expect from the Aspire Origin Bar 600?

With a 2ml E-liquid capacity it’s fully TPD compliant and contains 20mg of salt nicotine. At the time of writing there were no other strengths to choose from, unfortunately.

But with its auto draw pick up and play capabilities, the Origin Bar 600 is tailor made for the transitioning vape.

.. Or for someone that wants convenience when out for a night on the town.

The battery capacity is less than many other disposables. It will be interesting to see how 400mAh of power performs during everyday use.

Aspire Origin Bar 600 promo bannerUp to 600 puffs? Could be pushing boundaries on that score. It’s powered by a 1.2ohm mesh coil so flavour should be distributed well enough and on that, we’ve 10 to choose from.

These cover fruits, sweets and drinks categories.

Massive thanks to Vape Club for sending these over for the purposes of review. As always, these are just my own thoughts. They may differ from yours should you decide to partake. So please use my words simply as a guide as to what to expect.

First Impressions

The Origin Bar 600 comes in colour coded packaging with all relevant information displayed on the rear, which is good. That’s not always the case but should be mandatory by now.

There’s a small leaflet inside that sets out all potential side effects while using. It’s great to see Aspire guiding children and non smokers away from the device.

It comes in a sealed bag and the air intake/LED is covered by a removable sticker. However, the silicone bung inside the mouthpiece is by far the most awkward I’ve had to deal with to date.

Aspire Origin bar 600 disposable hand check picIt sits almost flush on the top and rather difficult to remove with fingers. It actually recesses into the mouthpiece by around 15mm so that contributes to the fiddling around.

A MTL (mouth to lung) air inlet hole is located on the domed base of the disposable. It also acts to illuminate the white LED while auto inhaling.

The mouthpiece is of traditional shape and design so that makes it very comfortable to use.

Both mouthpiece and base incorporate a kind of speckled pattern. Quite a unique appearance but such a shame it fails to match the flavour colours of each. That really would’ve been a nice touch.

Blue Raspberry

Aspire Origin Bar 600 Blue Raspberry

Aspire Says:

Blue Raspberry is a fruit blend combining the sweet taste of juicy Blueberries with the tanginess of ripe Raspberries.

I Say:

A very sweet and fruity affair.

Plenty of that sweetness is sucked up during the inhale and simply envelopes the vape on the way out. It combines with a healthy dose of Menthol that isn’t as brain freezing as other disposables on the market.

For that – I’m very thankful!

And this is a decent blending of Raspberry and Blueberry. Usually I find they clash to produce a very acrid taste. If you ever saw me face pulling, you’d know why! lol

In fact it’s quite hard to suggest which one’s more dominant. At a push I would say the Blueberry. It’s important to note that neither is particularly natural tasting but that tends to be par for the course with disposable vapes.

Blue Raspberry is full of flavour. It explodes on the exhale. It’s going to be more appealing to those with a sweet tooth and that chilling blast helps keep things lively and refreshing.

Blueberry Soda

Aspire Origin Bar 600 Blueberry SodaAspire Says:

Blueberry Soda is a drink-inspired flavour that blends fruity and fizzy notes. The sweet, juicy taste of freshly-picked Blueberries is complemented by Soda for a fresh-tasting vape.

I Say:

The soothing chill to the back of the throat is the very first impression I get. It’s balanced quite well and doesn’t over power.

It’s odd because the first few inhales taste rather strong and sulphuric (for want of a better way to describe) but thankfully that swiftly subsides.

I’m left with a rather pleasant Blueberry flavour that’s not too sharp. It does taste quite sweet and contains a few sour back notes drifting through the exhale.

There’s also a degree of wetness with every vape. I say that not to confuse it with flavour intensity but rather that it’s left on the tongue and settles there.

So I can’t exactly class Blueberry Soda as being juicy as such but I guess there’s a slight fizziness going on. It’s there yet quite timid – it doesn’t sparkle in the way I was hoping.

With the Menthol and Blueberry combined, I’m left with a very pleasant taste that could so easily have gone wrong so full credit to Aspire.

It’s a vape suitable for any season of the year, methinks.

Guava Mix

Aspire Origin Bar 600 Guava MixAspire Says:

Guava Mix is a fruity cocktail blend that fuses the exotic flavour of Guava with an assortment of other Tropical Fruits.

I Say:

Mmm. Not quite the flavour blend I can personally enjoy. Why do I say this?

The Guava is the stand out flavour here (probably no surprises there) but doesn’t join forces with any other tropical fruits that I can discern.

And the problem is, I’m not the biggest fan of Guava if not at least paired with another appropriate fruit. I find it to be quite bland and sickly when placed in the spotlight.

Don’t get me wrong. The disposable is packed with flavour and there’s enough sweetness to keep driving it along. There’s even a rich, juicy quality flowing throughout the exhale.

So the Menthol is the only other aspect of the vape that pulls its weight.

A tropical flavour? Yes and without a doubt but just not the medley of exotic fruits I was hoping for.

If you’ve been looking for a disposable that provides a more focussed version of Guava by all means give it a look. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Pink Lemonade

Aspire Origin Bar 600 Pink LemonadeAspire Says:

Pink Lemonade is a Soda blend that pairs the sweet notes of juicy mixed Berries with a citrusy Lemonade base note.

I Say:

Despite the depth of these silicone mouthpiece stoppers, there’s a quite strong aroma of Lemon wafting through when the sealed bag is ripped open.

It takes a couple of toots to make the intensity of the Lemonade settles down. Once it does I’m left with a decent version of Pink Lemonade.

I wouldn’t say the Lemon contains a great deal of citrus. There’s more of a bitterness to the fruit than anything else but that does give the flavour added dimension.

A difficult one to explain. There’s enough sweetness on offer but it tends to develop towards the end of the exhale before hitting the taste buds.

The bulk of the vape has a much drier quality to it so I’m not sure what’s going on there.

As with most disposables, Lemonade seems to be the driving force and this one is no different. It’s a bit of a struggle to locate any of the Berries mentioned in the description.

However, the addition of Menthol is a welcome one and does create the feeling you’re drinking a refreshing Summer treat.

It’s a good vape but doesn’t quite fit the flavour description for me.

Sparkling Cola

Aspire origin Bar 600 Sparkling ColaAspire Says:

Sparkling Cola recreates the sugary, fizzy flavour of classic American Cola for a sweet vape.

I Say:

The Menthol content is strong in this one. To be expected, really since it’s trying to replicate the experience of a well known thirst quencher.

It does it well. Just don’t expect the sugar free alternative, though. Sparkling Cola is ram packed full of sweetener. That’s something you’re either gonna like or hate.

Personally? It’s a bit too concentrated for my own personal tastes. In fact I found it ‘pooled’ on the tongue after the vape.

There’s not much in the way of fizz and if it is in there, is hidden by the Menthol.

But it is the full on Cola affair, that’s for sure. It’s maybe on the thick, syrupy side too but again, if you favour stronger, sweeter flavours you’re going to get on just swimmingly with this one.

Strawberry Gum

Aspire Origin Bar 600 Strawberry GumAspire Says:

Strawberry Gum is a fruity candy blend combining the juicy taste of freshly-picked Strawberries with sugary Bubble Gum.

I Say:

Yes, a candy style Strawberry that’s for sure. It’s bursting with flavour and the fruit isn’t actually the gummy style sweet type, in my opinion.

It seems to have a broader quality. Not quite the saliva inducing version commonly associated with say wine gums. Think Opal Fruits and you’re getting the vape picture.

So there is a difference, however slight. Either way it’s not a freshly picked Strawberry.

Again, Menthol has been applied and I’m not quite sure how necessary that is. It works in tandem with the sweeter elements of the vape, overlapping the fruit during exhale.

Bubble gum has a texture of its own in a vape and that appears to be sorely lacking with Strawberry Gum. I was expecting the exhale to be maybe a little more drier. It’s very concentrated throughout.

So plenty of candy running through the vape, Menthol present when it doesn’t need to be and a saturated sweetness to bring out the child in you.

It’s all just a little too much for me but if you’re a flavour freak Strawberry Gum might just be what you’re looking for.

Battery Performance and Number of Puffs

If I were to hold true with my personalised puff counter I’d have to say these disposables are out by around 50 puffs.

Sounds like I’m being picky doesn’t it?

I probably am because when taking into account a few longer, restrictive pulls it tips the puff scale in Aspire’s favour.

So for this reason I feel the Aspire Origin Bar 600 is capable of the suggested number.

Also, the flavour and vapour production holds up extremely well throughout. It’s very consistent and the auto draw is flawless.

The white LED will flash 10 times to let you know the battery is exhausted.

Time to dispose of. Responsibly, please.

Final Review Verdict

There’s plenty of sweetness and sometimes to the point of saturation, a tolerable level to the Menthol but the flavour blending is a little bit off. That’s where you may feel slightly let down by the Aspire Origin Bar 600 disposables.

This extends to the vapes that required a fizzier edge. It seemed to be masquerading as Menthol. Either that or simply hiding behind it.

However, flavour intensity is the order of the day and it’s there by the vape load.

Each vape is as consistent as the last and this holds true right up to the final puff. Vapour production is suitably stealthy, perfectly mimicking the draw from a cigarette.

The auto draw is sensitive and flawless and the battery, well.. Rock solid in terms of performance. You’re getting what you paid for.

aspire-origin-bar-600-disposable-vape-reviewIf it's flavour intensity you're after look no further than the Aspire Origin Bar 600. Each disposable is turbo charged! I thought some of the blending was out a bit, the sweetness a little saturated at times but the Menthol content was tolerable. No real surprises when it comes to disposable vapes. However, battery performance and lifespan is quite unique to this one. It's perfect and you can expect a consistent, reliable vape experience right up to the very last toot!
