Digiflavor UPen Kit Preview

The Digiflavor UPen is a new low power starter kit from the vape brand Digiflavor.
This is quite a new direction for the brand as they usually create more advanced vaping gear such as the famous Digiflavor Drop RDA and the Digiflavor Themis RTA.

The UPen is simple starter vape pen for MTL vapers. Basically MTL means Mouth to Lung and is a vaping style usually favoured by ex-smokers as it comes naturally to hold the vapour in your mouth before “taking back” into your lungs. Read more about MTL and DTL vape styles in our guide.

MTL devices are usually lower powered and designed for use with e-liquid with higher nicotine or nicotine salt e-liquid – which is very useful for new vapers and those kicking the cigarettes!

The UPen has a 650mAh capacity battery which the Digiflavor website says equates to approximately 400-500 vapes = roughly one pack of cigarettes.

The tank will hold 1.5ml of E-liquid and uses a 1.2ohm coil head. The coil is a Ni80 nano coil and apparently there will be future MTL kits from Digiflavor which will use the same coil.

The tank also has a really handy top fill, a lot of older starter kits had bottom fill tanks where you had to take the tank off to refill all the time which became tiresome!

The styling of the UPen was in collaboration with someone called Justin? No no idea either – Bieber? Timberlake? Anyway it doesn’t matter as it does look cool and has a pen style appearance with a hygienic cap.

There are 4 colours available – Silver, Black, Red and White.

Whilst this does seem slightly old fashioned there is still a market for good starter kits and I applaud them for giving new vapers a good choice of kit. Remember a bad first kit can put someone off vaping completely.

Price wise this is good and pretty competitive with similar starter kits.
