Eleaf basal kit coloursIt is looking to be a starter kit, a low power output of 30W and two coils included of 0.75ohm and 1.5ohm. The Eleaf marketing does say this is designed for MTL vapers.

Eleaf Basal Kit in handThe internal battery is 1500mAh and when you think about this being a low power output it should give a decent battery life.

Basal componentsThe interface is simple – only Variable Wattage (no temperature control etc.) and you can also customise some of the information displayed – puff time, total puffs and voltage.

Eleaf basal displayThere is a tank included – the very tall and skinny GS Basal tank, which is of stainless steel and glass construction. The colour of the glass matches the mod.

GS Basal TankEleaf have been very busy showing us previews and sneaky glimpses of this and here is a promotional video showing the Basal in use.

It is very thin and tall and this is most apparent in the statuesque GS Basal tank – which I think does look too tall?

Looking at the size of the mod you can only use tanks of 15mm diameter – there are not many of these about now – the smaller tanks for sale tend to be 18mm. I can’t help thinking if you bought this you are stuck with the GS Air tank? But if the tank is good then it’s no problem!

However all that said its still great to see something shiny, funky and new for starter vapers – sometimes they want a mod which is simple and not over complicated or expensive and this does really fit the bill.

Would you buy this for yourself or a smoker you know? Let me know in the comments below.
