The GTRS P222 is a new mod from GTRS who have just released the Vboy 222W. The Vboy 222W uses the Yihi chip so I wonder if this is the same chip?

Previous GTRS models include the standard Vboy mod and they have just released the GTRS V12 RDTA so they are very busy over at GaoMeiTe in Hong Kong!

gtrs p222 side viewThis is soo flipping new that the only mention from GTRS is the poster below shared on their Instagram page as “Coming Soon”.

So please forgive the lack of photos for this – even a well known search engine could not give me any more photos than those above!

You will need 2×18650 batteries for the P222 and it will output a maximum of yep 222W.

There are loads of modes and adjustments on this – to start with you have the Variable Wattage (or KA – I think that means Kanthal) plus various Temperature Control modes.

On top of that you have 4 taste modes: Soft, Normal, Hard and user defined. Plus you have 3 slots in the memory to store custom settings.

The body is a sleek aluminium alloy and looks to be a lovely large screen. Having a width of 40mm you should be able to get some of the bigger tanks to fit this mod with little overhang.

There are 6 body colours available – sadly I have only seen the black one online – Black, Green, Blue, Orange, Yellow and White.

Kit Includes

  • GTRS P222 222W TC VW Box Mod

Looking at Pre-order prices this is a reasonable price – very similar to other 200W+ mods.

It looks a sturdy little beast too!

Will you be investigating this more when it is released early January 2018?
