The KangerTech Ripple Kit is a new starter kit including the Ripple Mod and Ripple sub ohm tank.ripple kit poster

The Ripple mod needs 2×18650 batteries which are not included and will output up to 200W.kanger ripple kit components

There are Variable Wattage and Temperature control (Ti, Ni, SS) power modes plus Beginner/Intermediate/Expert mod settings too.ripple promo shot

Apparently the Ripple Mod has an advanced output chipset which promises an instant ramp up – i.e. the speed it takes for the device to fire between pressing the button and the coil becoming fully heated.ripple ramp up

The “Ripple” name appears to come from the textured finish on both the mod and tank.ripple promo pics

If you buy the full kit the Ripple tank is included. This uses NR coils and you get the NR-Mesh coils in the kit. The NR-Mesh has a single mesh element and is 0.18ohm.ripple mesh coil

You can also use the NR2-OCC (0.4ohm coil) and the NR8-OCC (0.2ohm coil) in the tank. I think these are also compatible with the tank in the Xlum kit.

There is a slide top fill cap on the tank and adjustable airflow.

There are 4 colours to choose from – Space Grey, Champagne Gold, Black and Blue.

Kit Includes

  • KangerTech Ripple mod
  • KangerTech Ripple tank
  • Spare glass
  • 2xNR-Mesh coil heads
  • Spare O-rings

As for calling it a starter kit – it’s not what I would recommend to someone starting vaping but you could do a lot worse I suppose!

  1. This is a great post, I have one Ripple mod and have lasted more than a year fully working, the fire button still works

Now I am thinking of buying a mod that supports wattage ranges from 1 and forward since I plan to use the mod with evod coils

    That to definetly replace cigarettes
