Performance

Excellent performance all round from the Nitecore D2. I have found that my batteries are charged much quicker than the other chargers I own, and this is down to the chip inside the D2 optimizing the charge for the battery in question.

The LCD display, far from being a gimmick, offers a plethora of useful information. In the centre the display switches from how many mAh the charger is currently using, to the current battery voltage of each battery, to the time the batteries have been in the charger. Underneath this the current battery status is displayed in bars. Nitecore D2 Close Up

To the top right is the different charging options available for your batteries. These are adjusted using the yellow mode button on the left hand side of the charger.

The Nitecore D2 will automatically detect which type of battery is in the charger and select the recommended settings accordingly.

Not once has the charger ever got hit or even warm, even after extensive use. Very impressive stuff.

Final Thoughts

I’ve always been a fan of the Nitecore series of battery chargers and the D2 did not disappoint me. They have all I have used during my last couple of years of vaping and the D2 has become my charger of choice.

Everything you need is here and present in the Nitecore D2, the LCD display is excellent and a particular stand out feature of this charger. With all the safety options contained combined with the LCD readout this gives me peace of mind that my batteries will be charged safely and to the desired voltage, which is all you need from a battery charger.

I highly recommend the Nitecore D2 to anyone in the market for a new charger, this offers everything you need and more with the LCD display an excellent feature in particular. They also offer the D4 which can charge up to 4 batteries simultaneously.

The Good

  • Charges batteries very quickly
  • Clear display, all the information is clear and easily readable
  • Charges a multitude of different battery sizes
  • Plenty of various charging options available
  • Safe battery charging option

The Not So Good

  • Nothing really to report here…

Been vaping full time for three and a half years, started on cigalikes for a fair while then curiosity got the better of me and I moved onto an ego/ce5 set up after, a month or two later I was seeing people walking around with these interesting shiny tubes and I thought 'I gotta get one of those'. Before I knew it a trip down to my local B&M got me my first VW mod, an Innokin SVD, paired with an iClear 30, and I was hooked. Soon after that I was jumping to VW mods both box and tube shaped, before I then made the jump to rebuilding and thus sub ohming, with my first RDA and mech mod. These days I'm still preferring mechanical mods, but using VW mods with both RDA's and tanks alike whilst on the move, most importantly I am still loving vaping!
