The Sigelei Fuchai Squonk 213 mod is from a vape brand who’ve been extremely active this past year, with the likes of the Kaos Spectrum Mod, which no one could get enough of on social media, as well as their exciting and uniquely styled Fuchai MT-V and GW Kits…and that’s just to name a few!

fuchai squonk 213 main
The subject of this review though, follows on from Sigelei’s previous releases in the Fuchai 213 mod series, ie: the Fuchai 213 Standard, Plus and Mini. This time, all the features, protections and good looks of the Fuchai 213 series in a bottom feeding, regulated squonk mod!

What really sets this mod apart though, is the fact that you needn’t use it as a bottom feeder all the time, an interchangeable side panel will transform it into a regular Fuchai 213 mod…awesome!

Now, whereas most of the squonk mods I own are simple, lightweight, mechanical affairs, the Fuchai Squonk 213 is a whole different ballgame, with a colour screen, compatibility with 3 different battery types and a full TCR suite….not to mention an incredibly sturdy and altogether sexy chassis. Hmmm, is this love? Read on to find out.

Fuchai Squonk 213 Mod

The moment I lifted my black Sigelei Fuchai Squonk 213 out of the neat box packaging, I couldn’t wait to use it. This is one solid and nicely put together squonker. Mirroring the previous Fuchai 213 releases perfectly, the fuchai is an ergonomic rectangle, with rounded verticle edges and looks an absolute knockout.Sigelei fuchai squonk 213 in hand

A beautifully finishhed blend of zinc and aluminium alloys creates contrast between the top surface, screen panel, base and the rest of the chassis, with the coloured versions having a coloured chasis with all the above mentioned sections in black.

I received only the mod (not the kit) for review and was impressed by the 170g weight, without cell, and the all round, solid, rattle-free construction.fuchai squonk 213 back

The base of the mod has a hinged battery door, which opens into a single battery chamber that, with the help of a rubber battery adapter that comes already installed, can accommodate a single 18650, a 20700 or a 21700, sweet!

A panel wraps around the mod on one side (see pics) and is home to two small, slanted adjustment buttons, a 0.95” colour screen, a micro USB port, below the screen and on the narrower vertical side…and a clicky, oddly shaped fire button, at the top of the same vertical side.

On the top surface, furthest from the fire button, a deep and springy bottom feeding connection, with a good amount of give, set within a SS seating with concentric ring texturing.

While the screen panel and battery door, as well as the shape of the mod are all identical to the regular Fuchai 213 design, one difference here is the bottom feeding connection and of course, the addition of a removable side panel (opposite the screen panel) and a 5ml silicon bottom feeding bottle set in the bottom half of the mod bellow the 510 connection.fuchai squonk 213 510 connection

Not only is the silicon bottle interchangeable with after-market 5ml bottom feeding bottles, like a couple I happened to have lying around…you can even do away with bottom feeding completely. Simply replacing the open (squonk) panel with a closed one (all panels are magnetized and easy to fit and remove) will allow you to use the mod just like an ordinary Fuchai 213!

I love the smooth and solid feel of this squonker, great ergonomics and, all round, a really sophisticated, high end look, I must say.

Accessories

While I didn’t get an extra bottle, at least the Fuchai Squonk 213 is compatible with standard 5ml after market bottles. I love the inclusion of a closed side panel so that I can use the mod like a regular box mod, with one of my sub-ohm tanks.

How Does The Sigelei Fuchai Squonk 213 Perform?

I first checked out a Samsung 2500 (18650) to test the wattage output and found that I could reach 120W, not bad!

I remove the battery adapter and pop in a 20700 (3000mAh) battery and pair with the Blitzvape Ghoul (a perfect match) on a 0.15 Ohm fused clapton build…now I’m able to achieve 150W which is outstanding on a single cell!

A 21700 will allow you to reach the full 150W but as far as the other battery types go, it all depends on your battery’s amperage! As always, be sure to brush up on your vape battery safety.

The first thing I love about this mod is the colour display. Wattage, voltage, resistance, battery levels and amperage are all beautifully laid out, with your mode prominently framed in blue.

I also like the way that as I increase my setting, the W/V reading changes colour from green to yellow to orange to red, making you aware of recommended and comfortable settings for the battery you have fitted. I also appreciate having a percentage battery reading, as well as a pictorial one…the display is extremely comprehensive and bright AF!fuchai squonk 213 screen

I find the power curves and TC are a breeze to set and the results feel true and accurate. I tested for both nickel and SS316 and had no issues whatsoever.

I also found the new atomizer reading (it just adjusts the reading without asking any questions) to be instant and without fail.

I found the UI perfectly intuitive and all buttons clicky and highly responsive.

As far as the bottom feeding function goes, I like the give on this silicon bottle and the fact that refill isn’t a crazy mess because of a bottle that’s too soft. Also, feeding is easy and effective.

I like the position of the squeezer and the fact that it doesn’t take up too much of the side of the mod, this means I can put my thumb on fire, my little finger under the base and my ring finger just there ready to squeeze if need be, ergonomics and positioning of everything is just perfect.fuchai squonk 213 squeeze

The versatility aspect is just off the hook, with all those battery options as well as the squonk/no squonk aspect…this is a cool little device that really functions like a charm, in my humble opinion.

As far as actual power goes, I’m really impressed, negligible ramp time and great heat distribution, as well as solid performance with power levels that feel true or even a cut above.

I later fitted an 18650 again and enjoyed the most beautiful 40W vape on a 0.5 Ohm coil, clouds for days and really surprising battery life!

A top performer for sure!

How To Fill

  • Pop off the magnetized side panel
  • Remove the silicon bottle
  • Unscrew the cap, gripping the lower metal cap so as not to squeeze the bottle accidentally
  • Fill to just within 5 mm of the top
  • Replace cap
  • Replace the panel and squeezefuchai squonk 213 fill

How To Operate the Menu System

  • 5 clicks on or off
  • 3 clicks to access mode menu
  • +/- to scroll
  • Fire to select
  • Once a mode is selected +/- to scroll
  • Press + and then fire at same time to enter preheat settings

How To Replace The batteries

  • Open hinged battery door
  • If using an 18650, make sure that the tube adapter is installed
  • For 20700 or 21700, remove adapter and install according to the marker on the battery doorfuchai squonk 213 battery chamber

Battery Life

I found the screen’s sleep function very effective in keeping the battery usage to a minimum and was definitely impressed by trials with both a 2500 and 3000 mAh battery or wiith my 18650 and 20700. Vaping an average of 80 W I enjoyed 8 hours use one the 18650 and the same on the 20700, vaping at 100-110 W.

Pros

  • Solid and attractive, durable construction
  • Great ergonomics and weight
  • Battery versatility (Can be used with three types)
  • Convenient and streamlined bottom-feeding
  • Lovely colour screen
  • Excellent ramp time and great performance through feature list

Cons

  • Misleading name – Where does the 213 fit in?
  • User Manual and Brand Website exclude mention of features eg; it’s ability to work like a normal mod without the use of the bottom feeder

Final Review Verdict

The Sigelei Fuchai Squonk 213 is everything you ask for and more out of a squonker, with a feature list as long as your arm and some features that put it in a class all of its own.

It’s not just a bottom feeder, it’s a regular box mod too, one that can run on 3 types of batteries and hit some pretty decent wattages on a single cell too!!

I’ve enjoyed the look, the feel, the features and performance on this versatile device and highly recommend it for intermediate to experienced vapers who’re looking for a device that’s truly unique!

And..

Would I buy the Sigelei Fuchai Squonk 213 if I lost/damaged the device? Definitely!

  1. Battery life on a 18650 @ 60w is terrible. Only a few hours then the wattage drops. Only a 21700 will give you about 5-6 hours of decent battery life to include running preheat. Great design but follow through on this mod is lacking. I’ve yet to see more than 2 hours on a 18650. By the time 2 hours is up you are on low battery and barely 30w of power.

    • Hi, Ingkong Vapes…I also love using this mod as a normal mod with my RTAs, I’d go for the Elfy by Coilmaster, which is smaller and really easy to use…or the new Digiflavor Themis, big and beautiful and definitely a stunner atop the Fuchai.
