Whether you are a sub-ohm cloud chaser or not, there is a place in your life for a pod system. One such use is if you are trying to learn tricks and can’t fill up with a nicotine enriched juice…having a pod handy, filled up with nic salts can be an absolute lifesaver.

Build Quality & Design
Aside from the somewhat ridiculous sign on the box stating that the product contains nicotine (an empty pod contains no nicotine you government dorks) the packaging is neat and protective, as is expected from an upstanding brand like Vaporesso.
Opening up the box I find that the pod and mod have been separated for packaging, so that the first thing I see is the base or mod and I have to dig around in the box to find the pod and put the parts together to get the full picture.
Luckily, putting the pod and mod together is one of the simpler things in life, thanks to massive magnets on both halves, together with components that are flawlessly fitted.
Once intact, the pod looks very much like an oversized, round edged USB router.
If you put the little elongated (very elongated) oval shape in your hand with the Zero branding and power button facing up, you have the micro USB port at the bottom, so that the device can charge while laying flat.
My white version of the little, good quality zinc alloy podmod has a matte and rubbery finish and a weight just shy of 50g, which means the handfeel is sturdy and solid, weighing much more than its size might lead you to expect.
The grey (on the white) branding is minimal and centralized on both the larger sides (zero on one side and Renova on the other.).
The power button (not for firing the device) doubles as a wattage adjustment tool and an LED indicator light, is small, round and at the end of the mod opposite the pod section, on the side that says ZERO.
On either narrow side the mod is 35 x 3mm long, mirror finished, chrome strip. This detail looks the bizzness and just adds a final touch of class to an already sleek and easy contoured treat.
The pod/mouthpiece is a dark tinted PCTG, which is a safe sort of hard plastic and it’s perfectly shaped for putting between your lips, very comfortable indeed!
The pod is see-through, so you can check out the level of your 2ml tank.
Removing the pod you will find the innovative and really top notch fill method at its base.
Accessories
The coil can’t be changed, you need a new pod for that and, unfortunately, no extras have been included. This upsets me, I’d like to see one or even 2 extras inside. I like the inclusion of a fine tipped bottle, as depressing the little fill gasket is tricky with anything but.
How Does The Vaporesso Renova Zero Pod Perform?
First up, I want to give Kudos to Vaporesso for the convenient fill system on this pod, which doesn’t leak and requires no irritating silicon stopper action. I also find the magnetized connection super slick and cool.
Secondly, the fact that, by clicking the power button three times, I am able to vary between 3 wattage settings. This is a saviour when I’m trying a 65mg nic salt and need to make sure that my hits are smaller! This certainly wasn’t a necessary feature but it is something that sets this pod apart, in my eyes.
Furthermore, I’ve been impressed by the battery life I’m getting and the incredible charge time, which is well under 45 minutes.
I really like the matte finish on my white version also, it’s easy to clean and doesn’t get scratch no matter what funky little nook I find to hide this tiny little pod.
This pod is just the right width to fit inside that little contraband pocket that most jeans and pants have, with the top sticking out for grip, I love that.
I find the battery indicator and wattage indicator effective and the button very responsive, I also can’t tell you how much I love the draw activated vape.
Draw activated vaping is possibly my favourite thing about most pods coming out now and the mechanism on this one works beautifully…I’ve been draw activating like an effing trooper.
On a final note, that dry hit prevention, with the help of the little device’s automatic temp control feature, it really works. I’ve vaped a few tanks down dry and noticed a defined slump in wattage when the juice ran dry, very effective.
But let’s get onto the actual vape quality, shall we? Airflow, which seems to happen through the USB port, is just perfect for Mouth to Lung (MTL) pleasure, as is the mouthpiece, no complaints there…
As much as I like the lower wattage settings for my stronger nic salts, I’d have liked to see the wattage go up to about 15W here…to improve on the vapour production just a little.
Flavour…that’s on point but we’ll cover that in detail the coil section.

How To Change the Coil
You will have to buy a new refillable pod for that!
Stock Coil Performance
So the little refillable pod contains a 1.0 Ohm ceramic coil, just right for MTL and wow, that tight airflow, sweet mouthpiece and ceramic coil combine to produce really nice flavour, surprising, given how low the vapour production is.
The cloud is not TERRIBLE, don’t get me wrong…it’s just not a pod that you’ll be able to bane inhale with very easily, for example. This ain’t no trick pod, lol!
That said, this pod and coil is effective at delivering sweet mouth to lung with solid flavour and a little less vapour production, ie: STEALTH magic!!!
How To Operate the Menu System
- 5 clicks on or off
- Hard press power to see what colour the light is
- Green means your vaping 12 W
- Blue means it’s 10.5 W
- Red means it’s 9 W
- Clicking thrice will change your wattage setting
- Inhale to fire your coils
Battery Life
Battery life obviously varies depending on the wattage setting you use but I get well over a day, a day and a half, or 10 hours regular vaping off a charge, plus charge is lightning fast, under 45 minutes.
You can tell the strength of your battery through the lights on the powre button when vaping, not to be confused with the Wattage settings.

I started out loving it. Went through 2 coils, went back and bought two more. They tasted like crap! Nasty burnt taste and no matter what I done couldn’t fix it. I’m having to suck the life out of it to get Anything and getting juice in my mouth in the process. It’s currently leaking on me as I write this review. I will Probly look for something else or just quit altogether. Anyone have any suggestions on small vapes that are good?

This is by far the worst vape ever. Lmao. I waisted all my money on this! 1st it leakes out of the air hole underneath. 2nd the air hole block and almost have 2 pull my lungs out to get almost nothing out. Lmao its terrible. “10 hour battery life” i get about 2 hours. THE pod is expensive af! I cant even afford a new vape now. Now i am stuck with this.
The pods packs are hit or miss. I’ve had the zero for almost a year now. In the past few months I’ve wasted so much money on packs of pods that are useless.
The very first hit tastes like burnt chemicals and there is no fixing it after that. I don’t care what people are saying online. I have literally tried everything. Even the people at the vape store said people have been having this issue probably bc of bad batches of pods from the factory.
The burnt pod taste occurs after I go through a long process before even putting them in. I fill them, I pull them, I let them sit, I dry hit them again, I blow hard, I let it sit.
I do this continuously before even connecting the pod to the device. When one pod of a pack is bad, the other one is always going to be bad. It is either a bad batch from the factory kind of issue or it’s just old. After the last 4 packs have been bad I have decided to switch to another device. Not sure which one yet. Hence why I’m on here looking.
Does anyone know if you can put CBD in these?

What difference of experience would you gain at vaping in 9w , 10.5 watt and 12.5 watt with this 1.3 ohm coil?
This little device is excellent, no mess, no fuss no issues. I just love it, I have experienced no problems with it. I will buy it again and again if the need arise, should it get lost somehow which will be difficult as I not letting it out of my sight. Thanks developers, you are the best!
I tried it..but with 50 Nicotine I dont get enough taste or smoke.. any idea why this is happening?

I get the best results by waiting at least 5 minutes after filling a fresh pod before using it. Also after you fill it you should inhale through the pod a couple times before you connect it to the battery, this helps saturate the wickbetter to ensure you start with a more even hit.
Bought this mod in a pinch when I left my move at work. I really wish I could throw it through the smoke shops window. It constantly leaks all over my hands and in my mouth. Trying to fill the pod is a complete pain in the a** and half the time you waste more juice than you get into the tank. I’ve been using different pod mods since the vibe was recalled and I’d have to say the zero is the worse. I will be sticikng with my smok’s unless I’m in a pinch again.
I want to add I’ve tried 4 different pods and let them sit atleast an hour before using. I still get the same results.
My zero vape has quit working. I just bought it 3 months ago. It won’t hold a charge at all. I’ve tried different plugs and cords. Nothing . Please send me a new one. I went to vape store and they won’t replace it because they only have a 30 day warranty.

I feels obvious what has happened to Marie…I wonder how she filled the pod till feels “complete pain in the a** and half the time you waste more juice than you get into the tank”…mine..filled it so easy like what’s manual instruction stated..also didn’t have leaking experience so far…rather than another one my pod..smok novo..my opinion is..buy the original once..any problem then we got the warranty..

The draw isnt easy and smooth like the smok infinix, but better bat life… so far. Also you cant hit with it upside down, it has to be right side up. Kind of weird. Not sure if I’ll keep it

My pod will not stop leaking. How do I fix this?
This vape is excellent for “sneaking and ghost” vapers. I attend a campus that has a no smoking policy but have easily convinced annoying viewers that it was simply a car clicker. (Yes, I am serious, my peers arent even as bright as its battery light.) As far as the hitting glitches. It is just a machine driven on working parts. If you have too much oil on the magnetic pieces (even from your hands) wipe it clean carefully. Replace the pod. Believe it or not sometimes simply turning it around in its setting will fix most “bugs”. If it seems to be leaking, you may not have let it soak long enough when you refilled it. The first time it is filled, wait 20 minutes 15 at the least, before using. If you are refilling an old one, its 5 to 10 minutes. Remember the vape pod model is really only designed for up to 5 refills. As far as the leaking, if it is leaking on the outside by your hands, you may have cracked it upon dropping etc, or you may accidently left the seal pressed down when refilling. If the pod is leaking into your mouth, remove it wipe it completely off and blow through it gently 2 times. Try again, replacing the pod, spinning it and adjusting the heat setting. Each piece of equipment is its own. Treat them with respect and find what works best for you and you vape. Its personal, so keep it that way. Happy vaping! 🙂

I just received mine four days ago, within the first day the pod started to give off that harsh burnt hit and at first thought it was either a bad pod OR this is just the design and you’d go though pods like crazy.
I had bought additional pods with it so changed to another pod. I then realized I hadn’t been turning off the battery when I was done. So immediately and since I’ve been turning it off always when not using.
I’m still on that second pod with it still providing great taste. The manufacturer should have stated this in the instructions. Other than that my only complaint is it doesn’t have automatic shutoff. But as for the entire system as a whole I’m loving it great taste, that easy fill pod is fantastic no mess with eliquid everywhere. As long as this thing lasts for a while I’ll be highly recommending this.
Pull pod out just a little bit and pull to see if it works now. Worked for me
That’s because of the electromagnetic pieces in the bottom of the pod where it connects. Try turning it around. Or blowing on it. Like an old VCR tape or a tape deck. #throwbacksforexamples
My zero keeps flashing green whenever I try to draw it, it’s full battery and a full tank of juice so idk what I’m doing wrong. It’s only been doing this since last week, before then it was fine.

Mine too. Just hit a few more times and it clears up. Some kind of bug I guess. Annoying.
I finally figured it out. Take a tissue paper and twist one edge to form a pointy side, use it to clean the hole of the coil twist it in very well and clean it and clean as well the vame itself from the inside and it should work. It worked in my case
