Finally A New Vape Pen For New Vapers – The Innokin Endura T18

UPDATE: New device is now available. Check out our Innokin Endura T18ii Review Here

It seems like starter kits have had a bit of a resurgence as of late, with many of the big name manufacturers entering this end of the market with their own starter kits, that offer far superior performance over the traditional cheap starter kit many of us started with.

I do indeed wish some of this stuff had been around when I first quit smoking, as it would have made it a whole lot easier that’s for sure!Innokin Endura T18 Review

Innokin’s latest entry is known as the Innokin Endura T18, which combines safety, power, and the latest big innovations from Innokin found in one simple, easy to use yet rewarding package.

The Endura promises to offer Innokin’s patented new PRISM top filling system, easy coil swapping, a 1000 mAh battery, fixed 14w output, a coil head based on the successful iClear 30 design, micro USB charging and coils with Japanese Organic Cotton wicking material for the best flavor around.

Kit Contents

The Innokin Endura is designed as an ‘all in one’ ready to use kit, so much like the Kangertech Subvod everything you need to get going is included within the package, with the exception of juice. innokin endura vape kitInside the presentation box is-

  • 1 x Innokin Endura Battery
  • 1 x Prism tank
  • 1 x Micro USB cable
  • 2 x T18 1.5ohm replaceable coil heads
  • 1 x Endura stand
  • 1 x Spare set of O-rings
  • 1 x User manual

Do take time to read and digest the user manual as it contains important safety and usage instructions.

The included vape stand is a really nice touch and allows you to show off your Endura when not using it!

The Endura kit will be available in a range of different colors, so you can pick one that matches your preferred color!

Innokin Endura Battery/Build and Quality

Straight away in the hand you can feel rock solid build quality from the Endura, this has come to be a standard hallmark of Innokin products.

It feels like a real quality piece of kit and the tank bears a strong resemblance to the Innokin iSub Apex tank in terms of the way it functions.

It’s filled from the top of the tank much like the Apex and features the new PRISM flavor system which enhances the airflow around the coil for the best flavor and vapor results.Endura Vape Pen

Coils are really easy to swap out, as Innokin’s patented no spill coil swap system is in place here, so you simply slide out an old coil from the base and put in a fresh one.

The tank section is made out of solid Pyrex and should withstand most impacts but should you be unfortunate enough to break it, you’ll need a new one as no spare is included and the glass is not replaceable.endura easy swap coil

The Prism tank has a 2.5ml capacity which is by no means the largest, but with a 1.5ohm coil you shouldn’t need to refill this too often. For new vapers this size tank will be just fine and depending on your vaping habits should last most of the day.

You will quickly gauge how much e juice you go through each day so if you do find you’re draining the tank before you get home just be sure to carry either a spare tank or a little bottle of juice. The Endura tank is so easy to fill you can literally do it on the move.innokin endura top fill

The Endura battery features a 1000 mAh capacity and a fixed output of 14w, this can handle coil resistance down to 1.2ohms, so if you want to sub ohm vape this isn’t for you.

Thankfully there are safety features built in such as low resistance, low voltage, overcharge and overuse protection.

The battery itself is recharged via Micro USB with a nifty little base cover over the USB port that conceals the opening on the base. A micro USB charger is included within the package.Endura USB port

Features

  • 1000 mAh Battery
  • 14w
  • 2.5ml Capacity
  • Twist top cap for easy top filling
  • T18 Prism Tank & 1.5 ohm coil head
  • Coil head similar to the iclear30
  • Japanese Organic Cotton
  • No spill coil swap similar to the iSub tank range
  • Top fill design
  • Vape while charging
  • Supplied with all the correct charging devices needed for safe use

How Does The Innokin Endura T18 Perform?

Innokin scored a real hit with the iSub Apex tank recently and the PRISM tank included in the kit is a scaled down version of this. It uses 1.5ohm coils and the flavor is absolutely outstanding- it’s a top, top atomizer tank for flavor.Innokin Prism T18 Tank

The vapor production is very good too with nice clouds produced from the tank and a fairly loose draw from it as well. It’s a really enjoyable vape and possibly the best option out there for flavor with a vape pen starter kit!

The tank capacity is 2.5ml and with the 1.5ohm coils being fairly high resistance you get good mileage with your juice, you shouldn’t need to refill too often. Just be sure when filling to let the juice soak into the coils for 5 minutes before vaping. Innokin Endura T18 Tank

I’ve found that the coils tend to last for just over a week before needing replacing, and there is a spare included in the package.endura coil internalsThe Endura battery has a relatively small capacity of 1000 mAh, this is a bit of a downside as even new and moderate vapers may find themselves needing to recharge this fairly often.Endura T18 and prism Tank

Thankfully that is an easy task with micro USB charging included and it does charge back up to full capacity quickly. Just ensure you do recharge from a safe power source!

The Endura battery puts out a fixed 14w to the coil, which is ample power for the 1.5ohm coil featured with the Prism tank. You only need to push the button and the battery does the rest!

Final Verdict

Well starter kits have indeed come a long way since I first began vaping and the Innokin Endura T18 vape pen kit is definitely one of the best of the bunch. The flavor from this is absolutely outstanding and right on par with a lot of far more expensive tanks out there, and it can produce some pretty decent clouds as well.

It’s simple to use, low priced, a real user friendly option with no confusing menus and a device that you can pick up and use straight away, and gives you really good results too.

One I would definitely recommend to a beginner!

The Good

  • ‘Fill and Vape’ e cigarette perfect for new vapers
  • Amazing flavour from the PRISM tank
  • Easy coil swap system with no mess
  • Recharges quickly through micro USB
  • Good mileage from your juice, tank isn’t particularly thirsty
  • Respectable vapour production
  • Super easy to fill from the top
  • Simple to use
  • Can handle high VG juices

The Not So Good

  • Experienced vapers may find the vape from the Endura a little underwhelming but this isn’t necessarily made for those vapers
  • 1000 mAh battery is a little on the small side and depending on your vaping habits may need frequent charging
  • 2.5ml tank capacity is a little on the small side

  1. Bought one the other day by mistake (instead of the newer T18 II), and it has left me a little disappointed. I’ve been using Innokin Jem Pen which was perfect for nic salts – terrific flavour and excellent battery life (overnight charge would last a whole day of fairly constant vaping). The only issue was inconsistent coils hence why I thought this might be a good substitute.
Endura seems a bit harsher flavour-wise (even with the 2ohm coil) and the battery doesn’t last half as long as Jem’s. Most annoying is the constant spit-back though…

  2. I bought a T18 vape, when I filled it, it started smoking. I was careful not to get any excess liquid on the filter. This also happened to a friend. What is the cause, are they faulty. I also changed the filter but no change. Has anyone else experienced this?

  3. Hi I’ve just bought endura t18e, I put it on charge, green light came on presuming charging, went off after couple minutes, tried to use it but won’t switch on, just flashes green and amber, it only works when plugged in the charger. Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong, I’m new to this. Many thanks

  4. I’ve got a couple of these, a black one for my nicotine juice, a white one for same juice no nicotine, and just ordered a blue one for flavoured VG. Best I’ve come across, but a friend has had problems with leakage, which I think has to do with the order you reassemble it after changing the coil.

Couple of times I’ve burned a coil screwing it back together, but that’s just me being clumsy. Been using them for 18 months, battery life fine at the rate I use it and they still function as straight out of the box. For me, I couldn’t ask for a better pen. Love the choice of colours.

  5. I can’t seen to unscrew mine to change the coil any tips of getting it undone the bit above has unscrewed seems to have left a gap as well another silver line any advice appreciated

    • Hi Kelly,

Do you mean you can’t unscrew the tank from the battery?

Not 100% sure what you mean. If you can send pics to admin @ ecigclick.co.uk I can have a look and see if I can help further.

      Thanks

      Jonny

  6. If anyone is experiencing flooding, leaking or spitting with this tank – a really good tip is to make sure the drip tip (mouthpiece) is fully pushed into the top of the tank.
My friend has 3 of these and said whenever she knocks it or tips it over the tank leaks and floods.
I sat and looked at it and the top of the coil has a seal to prevent liquid going down the centre – however if the drip tip is slightly out of the socket this will not seal . This allows liquid down the centre of the coil.
I pushed her driptip and it moved in slightly – and ever since shes not had a leak or flooding – she bought 2 more tanks as she thought it was faulty. So a simple little check could stop this.

  7. I bought the t18 and after a couple months the battery died and wouldn’t charge or work anymore so I bought a new t18 only to have it happen again after I have been using the right cube to charge it with. my boyfriend also had one and the same thing happened again. So this is three t18’s we have gone through.
Also if its not the perfect temp outside or where i am with the vape it tastes like complete crap like the wick is burning. AND when you change the wick and put new flavor you have to wait like 5 mins to take a puff and if you do you will ruin the new wick. Only half the wicks are good also. This vape is not worth buying and is complete crap do not buy!!!!!!

  8. `I am on my 3rd T18 as after between 4 and 6 months they stop charging. One I can tolerate but 3 ??????????. And my last one had the wrong size replacement coil in

  9. Hi
My wife bought the T18 yesterday to help her give up smoking cigarettes. After reading the instructions carefully, filling the tank, switching on and leaving for 5 minutes it wouldn’t work at all.

It was then left for an hour or two and still wouldn’t work. This morning it was found to have leaked all the liquid from the tank on to furniture.

I’ve read through this thread and found others reporting similar problems and really don’t want to get into troubleshooting and fixing this thing myself.

This experience has left a metaphorical bad taste, literal stains on the furniture and has put my wife off ecigs and vaping completely while ironically reinforcing her desire to quit smoking.

  10. I updated my evrod for a endura t18e earlier this year , i found it to be unusable as hot vape was burning the inside of my mouth and with no help or interest from suppliers , i worked out that it must be the coil ? yes it was , changed from 1.5 ohm to 2,00 ohm , its now perfect .

    • Glad you found a solution to your problem Peter!

For anybody else reading, the 2.0 ohm coils are a higher resistance. They require a little less power (= less heat) to fire the coil to produce the vapour.

  11. Hi. I see there are a few comments on using the T18 whilst charging. In my experience I have found this only works if the T18 is switched on first and then plug in the charging lead.
    Hope this helps some people.

  12. Hi I have had the endura t18 for a couple of months now, been having problems with it lately, I chop and change on my eliquid frequently and every time I do it always has a mixed taste and dosent taste great at all I clean out the tank and make sure it’s clean I have replaced coils various times but still happening any ideas why this would be and why the cause is?

    • Hey Jake,

Are the juices you are using ones you have used before and are familiar with? Not pointing the finger at the juices necessarily but worth taking into account.

Also, are you also switching up the PG/VG ration of your juices? Have you bought high (80VG or 90VG) VG% juices recently?

I ask as the higher VG juices like this are generally best used in sub ohm devices for good results and may not offer the best in terms of flavour in a ‘plus-ohm’ device like the Endura.

Be interesting to know what juices (PG/VG ratio) you were using when you were getting on with the e cig as well Jake.

Sorry I can’t help anymore than that at the moment. Let me know on the above though and we’ll do our best to help out further.

      Cheers

      Jonny

  13. Hi there, I have the T18 and I’m getting in well with it but would really like to have a case that can protect it when in my handbag.
Has anyone found a brand that fits? Thanks

    • Hi,

      Yes they are compatible.

The only thing you need to watch out for is that if you have the Endura T18E (European TPD compatible version) that you buy the ‘E’ compatible Endura coils.

In other words, the Endura T18E/T22E coils will not work with the standard Endura T18/T22 and vice versa.

      Hope that makes sense 🙂

      Cheers

      Jonny

  14. Hi Jonny
Choosing a vaping kit still a challenge for me as beginner, plenty of options, I have no idea which kit to start with, I would appreciate your advice in this issue.

    Thank you

    • Hi Maan,

There are two new beginner kits I would recommend.

The Innokin T18 that is reviewed on this post.

      Or

The Aspire K2 Vape Pen. A quality piece of kit.

Both are excellent options for beginners and easy to use.

You would then need to choose e liquid of course. Flavour is dependent on your tastes. Just be sure to get a nicotine strength that will give you the required ‘hit’ so to speak.

Many new vapers find starting around 12-18mg is OK. But it really depends on how heavy you smoke at the moment.

      Any other questions please ask.

  15. Hi Johnny, you based in the UK?

Reason I ask is I have one of these T-18 (T18E) and due to our daft govt legislation the tank has been made smaller. As a result I guess Innokin had to adapt the atomisers also.

Voltage is the same on the mod though (you see where I am going with this).

My question is, is there any way I can get a full sized T18 – do you think US vendors are allowed to ship?

Don’t get me wrong, I have the T18E (coil looks totally different to yours plus only has 3 holes not 5) – but since I got it on Wednesday I have gone through 3 coils (on my 4th now) – so lasting about a day 🙁

I am using totally wiked’s 50/50 American Red. I have some Titan 70/30 (PG/VG) so I may try that on a new coil see if that makes a difference.

One thing for sure, I can tell it’s a great piece of kit – I just question whether the European counterpart is equally to the way Innokin initially designed it.

Any thoughts on whether I can get a proper version (ie the T18 not the T18E where E stands for Europe)?

    • Hey Andy,

I’m UK based. And yup, absolutely pointless regs on the 2ml tank limit as well as the 10ml maximum on e liquids!

You can get the full size T18, come may next year though they will be removed from the shelves so to speak.

As long as you have the tank though the coils will (should) be fine to sell and buy. Or at least that’s how I see it. Just depends on whether stores will continue with them when the 2ml limit kicks in.

How many times are you refilling the tank Andy to go through a coil a day?

I haven’t actually used the smaller ‘E’ coils as I still have the original T18 but the difference shouldn’t be much at all.

Let me know, You should be getting far more than a days use out of them even with heavy vaping.

Anyway! Back to your question in hand.

You can buy the Innokin Endura T18 tank here (hopefully you have a black or pink battery, as they are the only colours at the moment.

And coils are available from the same store here

      Cheers

      Jonny

  16. Hi, I’m looking to replace my old evod 1 and like the look of this one, or the Innoken T22. However, I really don’t like the idea that the tank on the T22 needs to be empty when changing the coil.. Real downside I feel.
Anyway, for the T18, would you say it produces roughly the same amount of Vape to the Kangertech Evod? Or is there anything else you would recommend that I should look at?
I don’t like big throat hits; just a smooth, 70/30 vg/pg Vape with a descent amount of vapour..
    Thanks. Tom..

  17. Hi I have just bought this today as I’ve heard good reviews I followed the instructions of putting the liquid in. But when I turned it on all I can taste when trying to smoke it is a burning awful taste? I tried to change the coil to the spare one I got given and it still is a burning taste when puffing? Help please I have only had this 2 hours..

  18. Just bought Endura T18E – Needed charging so got it on charge but when I try to vape whilst charging soon as I press the button nothing comes out the light goes red and flashes three times, what I am doing wrong, my husbands is working fine

    • Hi Jade,

Does it work OK when not on charge?

According to the instructions “The red LED will blink 3 times if the PCB is overheated”. So this error is an Overheat Protection.

Are you charging via a laptop or computer with the supplied USB lead?

May be best if you are still having issues to get in touch with Innokin support at support@innokin.com or leave a message on the Innokin Reddit support threads where they are responsive.

      https://www.reddit.com/r/Innokin/

  19. I was told I could vape while charging but this doesn’t seem to be the case with the Endura T18 do I just have a bad egg or is this normal!? Also I have to charge mine 6 times a day hardly good battery life. Would really like some advice

    • Hey Marcel,

You should be able to vape the T18 when charging, this is a feature of the device. I would recommend getting in touch with Innokin support at support@innokin.com to see what the issue could be.

With regards to recharging, batteries do lose there life after certain use but that does seem a lot. How much do you vape throughout the day?

      Cheers

      Jonny

  20. Hi my husband has just brought me this as a gift to replace my old one. And I was just wondering can I still use my Eco Clouds juice still with this one?

    • Hi Samantha,

I have only used upto a 70VG / 30PG mix of juice and that was fine. So the coils can handle higher VG juices. What VG/PG mix is your Eco Clouds juice?

      Cheers

      Jonny

  21. I’ve got this T18 as a out and about device , I must say I love it , Innokin do it again , Great review enjoyable reading and info as always… Thank you….

  22. Hi,
I need some advice. I’ve been vaping on a justfog for one and a half years now, but the atomizer has a habit of leaking from the bottom. I love the vape from it but I think it’s now time to take the next step. What would you recommend from here?
    Thanks

    • Hi Sheri,

I’ve never come across Justfog before so can’t comment the performance or compare it to anything else.

If you are looking for a mouth to lung vape (take a draw into the mouth then inhale) rather than a direct lung inhale from a sub ohm tank then there are a couple of recommendations.

First would be the product above, the Innokin Endura T18. Or for a longer life battery the Endura T22. Both are easy to use, perform well and I have experienced little in the way of leaking.

There is also a new tank that has been released, the Aspire Nautilus X. This is a great tank that I have experienced zero leaking problems.

If you want a new battery to pair with the Nautilus X, mods such as the Cool Fire 4 and the will give you plenty of battery life.

Let me know if you have any other queries on the above!

      Cheers

      Jonny

  23. Thanks for this but as I’m completely new to vaping I have no idea what liquid to buy. I have bought the endura- t18 but just realised there is no juice. What do I buy? How much do I buy? Where do I get it? I would really appreciate a reply. Thanks. Terry

    • Hi Terry,

Best place to start would be to take a look at this list of recommended e liquid brands.

Starting off, the Halo Vapour Co brand on this list is a great starting point at good prices – £3.99 per 10ml (there is also a 10% discount code).

What you buy depends on a lot of things. Flavour is of course up to you, there are tobacco’s, fruit, dessert juice.

May be a good idea to try a few different flavours that fit in with what you like. E liquid can be a case of trial and error and of course personal taste.

Nicotine strength is an important choice as you need to keep your cravings in check.

As a general rule of thumb the below is recommended:

      6mg (0.6) (low) – up to 10 cigarettes a day
      12mg (1.2) (medium) – up to 20 Cigarettes a day
      18mg (1.8) (high) – up to 30 cigarettes a day
      24mg (2.4) (very high) – up to 60 cigarettes a day

One thing to keep in mind is that higher nicotine strengths can be quite harsh. Depending on how much you smoke I would recommend starting on the lower scale and work your way up if need be. So if you smoke 30/day try out both the 1.2mg and 1.8mg.

      So as an example of a 30/day smoker, I would buy say 3 flavours, 2 X 1.2mg and 1 X 1.8mg.

Any questions though Terry please ask!

      Cheers

      Jonny

      • most of the ones sold in places like newsagents are not great.

I started buying mine from onepoundliquid ,very cheap and a good intro to liquids that doesn’t cost too much.

There’s a vaping shop near me that lets you try flavors ,so if you’re not shy look out foe some vaping shops in your local area 🙂
