Introduction To The Valyrian by Uwell
Today we are looking at the Uwell Valyrian sub ohm tank. It is a 25mm diameter, 5ml capacity tank with a few tricks up its sleeve. It features a new top-filling system as well as some golden inner coil pins that allows the vaper to customise the airflow and flavour!
But how did I get on with it? Find out in my written and video review!
The Uwell Valyrian is available in 5 different finishes, each of which has two different colour drip tips and o-rings, for that extra matchy matchy action.
From the branding Game of Throne fans will recognise the Valyrian name as well as the graphics on the outer packaging. As always my opinions are honest and my own.

Build Quality & Design
We’ll start from the top and make our way down the Tank…
The Drip Tip & Filling Port:
You get two drip tips in the pack, both identical, but with different colour rings on the base. They are conical and have a 510 sized base, so you can add your own if you wish, but I don’t think that this is necessary. They fit nicely in the mouth and don’t feel uncomfortable at all.
The filling ports are accessed by pressing a button near the top of the tank, this causes the top cap to unlatch and hinge on the opposite side. You are met with tow kidney shaped holes that are a great size for most bottles of e-liquid. Underneath the drip-tip you have a rubber grommet to prevent any leakage.
The Tank Section:
The tank section comprises of the glass, a chimney and the coil. The glass is a 25mm Pyrex tube for maximum durability. They also give you a spare, in the unlikely event that you end up cracking yours.
The coils included are both 0.15Ω vertical coils and have an operating wattage of 95-120w. Find out how I got on with the coils in the performance section below
The Airflow Base
So, the airflow control ring has three rather large slots in it, these are fully adjustable and allows masses of airflow to come through to the base of the coils. It has a stop at each end, so that it only rotates from fully open to fully closed, not all the way around.
On the base we have the usual Uwell markings as well as a gold plated 510 centre pin.
Included with the spares, you also have two metal pins which are shaped in a way that changes the airflow and flavour that you get from the tank, these simply pull out and press in. Once again, find out how I got on with these in the performance section below.
How Does the Uwell Valyrian Perform?
After using this tank for a few weeks, I feel that fully open airflow is far too much for my personal preference, so I will be vaping it at the following wattages with the airflow three quarters closed unless stated otherwise.
Using the 0.15Ω Coil at Different Wattages
- 95w: A flavoursome and cool vape, no dry hits and plenty of clouds
- 110w: Again, a very flavoursome vape, getting slightly warmer now and the clouds are definitely chucking!
- 120w: The flavour is starting to deminish and I’m getting a slightly dry hit, this happens at all airflow options for me. Definitely not a pleasurable vape at this wattage.
My Preferred Sweet Spot:
- 80w: I have been vaping this below the suggested minimum wattage quite comfortably. With the airflow three quarters closed, it is an extremely pleasurable vaping experience. I think it offers maximum flavour at this wattage as well as being quite cool in temperature
Flavour & Clouds
Overall, the flavour and clouds on this tank has been very acceptable. Yes it diminishes towards the higher wattages, but vaping anywhere between 80w and 110w has been absolutely fine with me.
The Coil Airflow Pins
Included are two different coil airflow pins, these have been supplied to change the users vaping experience. Here’s what I felt that the pins do.
With the screw-shaped one, I found that it improved the flavour of menthol and fruit e-liquids. It just made them that bit more fruity and fresh!
With the bulb-shaped one, I found that it made the custard and cream flavours that bit more thicker and dense.

What I Like
The flavour on this tank is just exceptional. Usually with your low ohm tanks such as the Smok TF-series, you get lots of cloud and no flavour. With the Valyrian, you get the complete opposite. A hell of a lot of flavour as well as a decent amount of plumage.
The design of this tank as a whole is very good. It has been made to a decent quality compared to other sub ohm tanks on the market.
The pins. Although they are not something that I will be regularly using, when I did use them, the changes they made were noticable.
What I Dislike
There is honestly not much that I dislike about this tank, apart from the loss of flavour at 120w. Although this isn’t a wattage that I would usually vape at, some might.
Final Review Verdict
The Uwell Valyrian is an absolutely great stock coil tank. The flavour surpasses all its competitors and will I will definitely be using this a lot in the future!
Which brings me to the question, Would I buy the Uwell Valyrian tank If I lost or broke it???
- Good looks
- Great flavour
- Smooth airflow
- Flavour lacks at high wattages
