The Advken Owl Sub Ohm Tank is a new release from a brand who produce some lovely tanks.
We have recently reviewed the Manta Sub Ohm Tank and the Artha RDA both scoring well in review.
The Owl is so called I think because of its “squat” “wider than tall” appearance.
Included in the kit are the 0.16ohm and 0.2ohm mesh coils.
This tank is compatible with the coils from the Advken Manta and Dominator tanks plus you can also use coils from the Vaporesso NRG, Smok TFV8 Baby, Big Baby and TFV12 Baby Prince. Very handy if you are stuck for coils.
Another good design feature is that there is a top airflow intake and top airflow adjustment. This helps to reduce leaks – bottom airflow tanks can sometimes leak from the airflow inlets.
There are two glass sizes to change the tank capacity – the standard straight glass is 3ml and the bubble glass is 4ml – you get both in the kit.
Add to the other nice features you also get a top sliding refill cap.
There are 2 colours to choose from – Matte Black and Stainless Steel.

Does anyone know if this tank will take the Smok tfv baby v2 coils.
Depends on which coils really – this should be compatible with the Smok TFV8 Baby / Big Baby coil range.

Now I am very confused, as some websites say the V2 are the same as the TFV8 but I found this to be not entirely true.
When I reviewed the Mag Grip which has the TFV8 Baby V2 tank, with the S1, S2, K1, K2, A1, A2 and A3 coils – the previous TFV8 Baby coils were too small?
So your guess is as good as mine unfortunately!
Hello, the baby beast has special coils dedicated only to this model, different from the coils of the baby V8 that are NRG compatible. French vaper, sorry for my bad english !
Michelle, you are a sweetheart. Thanks for the detailed review. I started vaping with this OWL tank since last few months. Unfortunately my tank leaks through the top air hole if I bend it. Do you have any idea how to fix this trouble? I almost gave up vaping due to this issue as I didn’t want to buy 25,000 tanks to solve such problems. Thank you so much Sanjay – sadly I haven’t used this tank myself so I haven’t any tips sadly.
Wonder why it is leaking from the top – sometimes if you use the coils at a lower wattage they can flood – basically not all the liquid in the coil is vaporised so you can have some still left. This can cause spitting and liquid to stay inside coil and leak through airflow.
This tank has the top airflow so should be even less likely to leak through that?
Another thing to check is the thickness of your e-liquid? The “VG/PG” proportions – if it is too thin it might cause leaks?
Generally if it is flooded a quick tip is to remove the tank from the mod, wrap the airflow holes with tissue and blow down the drip tip and it should blow out.

The smok baby beast mesh coils do not work in the advken owl tank. The bottom contact is too short and does not make. I had to remove the contact and rubber separator seal from my old coil and swop them into the smok coil to make them work. Otherwise a very good tank, never had a leak and the coils last for a g e s .

The Smok coil naming convention is confusing at the best of times isn’t it!
