The Geekvape Mad Dog RDA/RDTA V2 is a new kit as an upgrade to the original Mad Dog RDTA which we reviewed in July.
The RDA itself has a side airflow with a bunch of new heat insulators.
The new insulators are to help stop the heat transfer from the deck to the top cap and prevent condensation. The side airflow has a 45° angle to make sure it passes over the coils and has a free passage up to the drip tip.
The Mad Dog V2 build deck is for dual coil builds with two posts which are elongated and have two screws in each.
There is also a bottom feed Squonking 510 converter included which you can swap to use this as a squonking RDA.
The Mad Dog V2 RDA can be bought on its own or in a “Customised Edition”.
The Customised edition adds the Innokin Lift Siphon Tank Adaptor to the kit making this a self Squonking Squonker (does that even make sense?).
Basically the Innokin Lift adaptor is a siphon system which you can attach to the Mad Dog V2.
Install the 510 bottom feed squonk pin to the RDA.
Then attach the Mad Dog V2 to the Innokin Lift adaptor. The Lift adaptor works as a tank to store E-liquid which is sucked into the RDA via the siphon system.
That way if you do not own a squonk mod with a bottom feed bottle you can still use this RDA in Squonk mode.

The Mad Dog RDTA which we reviewed did seem to make building more tricky than it should be. However the V2 does have the outer coil holes at a lower height which should help with the coil pinging problem.
A good deep juice well in this should mean even when not Squonking this should be able to hold more so you won’t have to add liquid as often.
I think the inclusion of the Innokin Lift is a good idea – I am pondering about buying the Lift on its own myself as I don’t own a Squonker and some tanks I review have bottom feed capability and I would like to test it out!
