Today I’m casting my beady eye over the Lost Mary QM600 disposable vapes.

main picNot long back we took a look at the Lost Mary BM600 disposable vapes. Judging by the reaction of various vaping colleagues, they perform fantastically.

I must admit that I was rather smitten by them myself.

Lost Mary pride themselves on producing a range of vaping products with innovation and performance as the goal.

Neither do they confine themselves to any set region. For instance the BM3500 is a disposable designed for audiences outside of the EU with an increased E-liquid capacity, vastly extended puff count and rechargeability to boot.

Powered by quac techIn the case of the BM600, performance is one area I can attest to but what of innovation? And could you give a “QUAC” as long as the flavour’s great?

Lost Mary do – as we’re about to find out with the new QM600 disposable vapes!

What Can We Expect From the Lost Mary QM600 Disposable Vapes?

The Lost Mary QM600 disposables are TPD compliant and hold 2ml of 20mg (2%) salt nicotine. The 550mAh integrated battery means they should last for anything up to 600 puffs.

front view

It’s powered by a mesh coil, designed to handle the thinner 50VG/50PG E-liquid ratio and to produce vapour that closely mimics a cigarette.

They are pre-charged, designed for MTL (Mouth To Lung) vaping and ready to vape straight out of the box. Just inhale on the mouthpiece and let auto draw take over!

But there’s more…

QUAC Tech

The QM600 utilises what’s known as QUAC technology. It’s a system created by Elf Bar, the designers behind the Lost Mary range.

Upgraded experience

In all honesty some of the tech is beyond me. I think it involves a streamlined manufacturing process where battery and circuit board are integrated to deliver consistent and reliable manufacturing techniques.

It also means the QM600 is much easier to disassemble and recycle, so full kudos on that score. At least none of us are confused over the importance of recycling, eh?

In turn, power efficiency is transferred to the mesh coil by significantly increasing flavour and consistency which then increases the total number of puffs per disposable.

Appearance

Design wise the QM600 takes a completely different path from the BM600. To all intent and purposes it could pass as a starter pod kit in terms of appearance.

It’s very slim which makes it instantly pocket friendly and bevelled edges make it very comfortable to hold.

The “Duck Bill” style mouthpiece is also reminiscent of a pod kit so it’s bound to draw the attention of someone looking for a casual vape for the evening.

side viewThe crystal clear design falls in nicely with current trends with disposable vapes and the Laser stickers bounce with a groovy Holographic effect.

For identity purposes each one adopts appropriate colours and gradients are used to denote multi flavours. Nice touch.

There is a total of 30 different Lost Mary flavours in the QM600 range, ranging from fruit, drinks and menthol based profiles.

OK, let’s see what I think of ’em. Please remember taste is subjective. Just because I may not be enamoured by a flavour don’t let that put you off. We all perceive taste in different ways.

VMT

VMTLost Mary Says:

This is a legendary Cordial-inspired Berry flavour with hints of rich Blackcurrant. Based on the well-known fizzy drink, VMT provides a refreshing mixed Berry vapour that smells sweet and fragrant!

I Say:

This one is very, very fruity and noticeable from the get go but the first thing to strike me is the Grape. Its ram packed with a tartness but also carries an aroma or fragrance I’m not particularly keen on.

That’s no fault whatsoever of the flavour profile – I’ve yet to be convinced by Grape as an E-liquid. No one has come close to accurately replicating it and multi layered flavours always suffer as a direct consequence.

So I also notice lots of sweetness on the exhale and Blackcurrant is definitely in there. However, tainted by those Grapes it’s never given enough time to develop.

I’m not so convinced about Raspberry – that’s if VMT is actually attempting to replicate the cordial / Squash Vimto (as the name suggests). This could be their own interpretation but it’s mainly about Grape, an alternate take on Blackcurrant, the sweetness and the sourness that ends the vape.

I will say the cooling agent is well on par. At the level all disposables should take. Not too intense, no icicles replacing tonsils and no brain freeze.

.. Literally cool!

Shame I can’t say the same for the flavour combination on this occasion.

Red Mojito

Red MojitoLost Mary Says:

This Red Mojito mix blends up the super-sweet taste of juicy Raspberry with the cooling, refreshingly moreish tastes of Mint and ice found in a Mojito for a moreish mix that you won’t want to miss!

I Say:

This is actually a nice refreshing blend of fruit.

The trouble is, my taste buds are mistaking Raspberry with Orange! It definitely seems to be the prominent fruit on my taste buds, anyway.

There’s also a richness to the blend that does suggest the inclusion of darker Berries yet they remain on the periphery of the exhale for some reason.

A nice, cooling effect soothes the back of the throat during inhale and in terms of amplification it does match the flavour content pound for pound so that’s a pleasing balance.

Sweetness levels are maybe a tad on the elevated side but don’t really distract from a blending that’s quite different for a disposable vape.

However, I don’t exactly pick out any mint, whether spearmint, peppermint or fresh. If it’s there, it’s hidden beneath the Koolada.

Overall a pleasant taste and one that holds the attention.

Sakura Grape

Sakura GrapeLost Mary Says:

Awesomely rich palette-pleasing taste of Purple Grapes. A greatly juicy Grape flavour that’s cooled off on the finish by some very light Aniseed. Perfect flavour for all-day vaping.

I Say:

Another Grape vape! Guess what? I’m not a fan. I’m not trying to instantly diss the flavour though because it’s there by the vape load – I just can’t stomach the taste.

If you’re a fan of the fruit get ready for a veritable flavour explosion that begins with a sweetness and sourness on the inhale.

The Aniseed has been very well applied, mixing well with a cool freshness on the way out. It also echoes throughout the taste experience. Lost Mary state that it’s a light version and that’s certainly true but the consistency is spot on.

It acts as the glue that holds the flavour together, in my opinion. It even leaves minor traces on the taste buds post vape – something I find quite impressive for a disposable vape.

And now having vaped Sakura Grape for a considerable time I have to concede. It’s not the worst Grape vape I’ve tried. The addition of Aniseed seems to have taken the edge off a usual sulphuric, acrid taste.

Lost Mary have truly come up with their own spin on this popular (to some!) fruit.

Red Cherry

Red CherryLost Mary Says:

This is a deeply rich Cherry flavour that’s filled to the brim with bubbly bliss. The deep taste of Red Cherry is present throughout and is well complemented by a fizzy candy taste on the exhale.

I Say:

Another highly consistent flavour, holding its own throughout the entire exhale.

And I’m quite impressed. I was expecting this one to be overloaded with sweetener but it looks like Lost Mary have held things in check quite nicely.

In fact it’s less about the sweetness on the inhale and more about that ‘fizz’ they mention on the way out. It works its way around the inner lining of the mouth to good effect, tinged with just the right amount of sourness.

It’s not the boldest of Cherry and neither is it particularly realistic but that’s not what Lost Mary were going for, clearly.

So I’m left with what can best be described as a fizzy candy sweet version that pushes all of the right vape buttons if you ask me.

I think the balance of flavour to fizz to cooling agent is bob on and it won’t be long before that LED button on the base is flashing!

Lemon Pineapple Peach

Lemon Pineapple PeachLost Mary Says:

This is a sweet and super-sour superstar flavour that’s ideal for all the fruity vape lovers out there. The collision of tangy Lemon, juicy Pineapple, and lush, rich Peach ensures that you’ll be delivered some well-balanced bliss on every inhale.

I Say:

Pineapple is the prevailing aroma when ripping this from the blister pack.

Rather unsurprisingly, it also dominates the exhale. As much as I love the idea of these three fruits working together it just doesn’t happen.

To be honest it’s totally devoid of Lemon – I fail to pick out a single note. Peach does make an appearance but even that’s too little and too late – on the dying embers of the exhale.

And thinking carefully about it, the exhale is a bit on the dry side. This flavour combination should be much juicier than what’s actually delivered.

So it does beg the question. Is the Pineapple cancelling out the properties of Lemon and Peach? Or is the level of Koolada working far too effectively with the Pineapple and masking the other fruits?

It seems that way to me. Consider Lemon Pineapple Peach as a single flavour profile and you won’t be disappointed.

As for me? It simply doesn’t live up to the flavour description and as much as I enjoy Pineapple, it has to have a bearing on the overall score.

Lemon Lime

Lemon LimeLost Mary Says:

This Lemon Lime twist is a tropical taste-bud tantalising whirlwind of exotic tang! The sour taste of Lemon sits delicately on the palette and is well complemented by a strong hint of Lime which balances the flavour out completely.

I Say:

Now this one rocks! The reason I say that is because it’s not too heavy with the citrus content. Lime vapes can often lead to a few ‘face pulling’ moments if overly concentrated.

It blends perfectly with a Lemon that almost tastes freshly squeezed. That’s high praise for a disposable – I don’t often write of such merits.

This time sweetness takes a step back in favour of the sourer properties of both fruits. Probably to be expected but still adds a realism – an overall freshness to the exhale.

That freshness is aided and abetted by a relatively strong Koolada that swiftly leaves a lasting impression on the tonsils. All good stuff, really because the cutting bite to both Lemon and Lime is felt with each and every exhale.

So Lemon Lime is packed with the sharpness, zing and pop that’s needed to satiate the ‘ole taste buds on a hot Summer afternoon.

Impressive blending, great flavour!

Banana Ice

Banana IceLost Mary Says:

This lusciously fruity mix blends up the sweet, juicy taste of richly ripened Banana with a touch of frost on the finish. It’s a super pleasant treat that is nothing short of moreish if you’re looking for a new pitcher-perfect profile that’s smooth and refreshing.

I Say:

I was quite surprised at just how creamy this vape is!

It’s a concentrated Banana flavour, not dissimilar to the foam sweet variety because there’s a hefty dose of sweetness involved. Yes, it’s akin to the majority found in disposable format but less harsh on the throat.

The inhale is silky smooth with the beginnings of that creamy texture and flavour simply pops on the way out. The Banana taste is consistent throughout and really does work wonders on the taste buds.

But I must admit the vape comes across as a bit saturated, almost wet at times.

Personally? I could do with a little less sweetness but the icy cold blast of the inhale also reminds me of a chilled Banana milk shake. Can’t be bad!

So to me it’s a cross between a sweet and drinks based profile and I find myself getting the best of both worlds.

And I just love what Lost Mary have done with the dairy aspects of Banana Ice.

Blueberry Peach Ice

Blueberry Peach IceLost Mary Says:

This Blueberry Peach Ice mix is a sweetly juicy treat that blends the sharpness of tropical fruit flavour with some cooling ice. The blast of Blueberries is present throughout, which is then complemented by the fuzzy fragrant fruity flash of Peach. This is all rounded off by the crunch of ice to cleanse the palette, leaving you with a lip-smacking sensation that’s decadently delectable.

I Say:

It’s certainly lip smacking! In that this is a highly concentrated flavour and carries a degree of moistness during exhale. A kind of wetness, if you like.

The vape itself is crammed full of sweetness and only broken up by the sour and tart like qualities of the included fruits.

The blending in Blueberry Peach Ice is better than some of the others although Peach remains the dominant flavour throughout. Both smooth and velvety on the exhale, it combines quite effectively with the Berries to produce a highly consistent vaping experience.

In terms of Blueberry, it could have carried more body, more presence and this one isn’t particularly characteristic to a disposable vape.

But the mix of cooling agent, sweet, sour and fruity properties means that it never outlasts its welcome.

Pineapple Ice

Pineapple IceLost Mary Says:

This is an exotic tropical blend of juicy, delicious Pineapples with a hint of frost on the finish. It’s a mega-mouth-watering combination that’s perfect for those hot summer days.

I Say:

It’s good but let down by a little too much sweetness, in my opinion.

However, there’s no denying its mouth-watering properties and the Pineapple does pop along quite nicely throughout.

And I am reminded of a tropical blend. Despite elevated levels of sweetness it still has enough realism to avoid falling into the ‘sugar cube sweet’ category.

It’s not harsh tasting and the inhale is tinged with just enough sourness to set things off.

On the way out, the spiky fruit delivers its trademark flavour in a highly consistent manner – Pineapple – from start to end. With enough of an icy cold blast to keep things uplifting and refreshing.

A quality fruit vape that delivers with each and every tug. If you like your Pineapple vapes, say no more. You’re gonna enjoy this one.

Sour Apple

Sour AppleLost Mary Says:

This is a tangy treat that’s almost too hard to beat! The classic candied taste of tart Apple makes this a must-have vape if you’ve got a real taste for the sweetly sour things in life…

I Say:

Ooh! A nice ripe Granny Smith if ever I tasted one. And I don’t think it’s particularly candy like either. It’s damn on par to the real thing and quite possibly the most realistic tasting fruit in the line-up, if I’m being brutally honest.

Also, the great thing is that the cooling agent isn’t over played either. You’ll still notice it early doors during inhale of course but it is combined with just the right balance of sweetness. The amount you’d expect when crunching down on an Apple.

Sour Apple is very moreish – The sourness is allowed to develop through exhale and really does help to bring out the juicier qualities of the fruit.

Yeah, this one’s definitely got a ‘bite’ to it if you’ll excuse the pun.

A mouth-watering vape that’s the perfect accompaniment to any month of the year.

Battery Performance and Number of Puffs

Flavour values were consistent up to a point. By this I mean they started to falter as the battery wore out. This was more noticeable with the stronger tasting ones in the range.

This degradation always occurs inside the last 10 -15 minutes of use. Oddly enough, flavour dips but vapour quality remains solid right up to the end.

The disposables lasted on average for a total of eight hours. During this time I estimate to have notched up in the region of 576 puffs. Close you might say, but here’s the rub.

Most folks MTL vape disposables. Wherever possible I do find myself restrictive lung vaping them. I know, I know. That’s not really the intention, I hear you cry.

Smoking tightly rolled tobacco for over 25 years has led me to a style of airflow restriction that is hard to kick. So it’s important to write that my average inhales last for around 3-4 seconds.

So if we take this increase over the average MTL vape into consideration, the above puff count should theoretically be increased. In which case I would safely argue the Lost Mary QM600 is easily capable of 600 puffs – if not a few more.

Final Review Verdict

As a MTL vape, it doesn’t get much better than the Lost Mary QM600. The airflow restriction is spot on with the draw from a cigarette. So transitioning vapers will feel very comfortable with the similarities.

Vapour production is also on par – thin and wispy. Ideal for those moments where stealth is called upon.

Given the flattened shape, the QM600 is surprisingly comfortable in the hand and goes totally unnoticed when placed in a trouser pocket.

The battery does do a good job – flavour is delivered very consistently from the upgraded mesh coil and it only ever starts to degrade when battery strength is reaching its lowest point.

It’s definitely another reliable disposable from Lost Mary. Yes, some of the flavour blending was a little disappointing but the taste on offer is always clean and crisp.

Overall I recommend it as a disposable. It won’t let you down.

lost-mary-qm600-disposable-vape-reviewAnother solidly built and reliable device from Lost Mary. The MTL vape is spot on, vapour production is satisfying and flavour simply oozes from every exhale. The battery should hold out for a full day under moderate use and 600 puffs is a given in my opinion. You're also guaranteed a consistently flavoursome vape each time. The Lost Mary QM600 disposable vape ticks all the right boxes and worthy of your attention, methinks.
