Design & Build Quality
After looking at the box, I was expecting a much larger device if I’m honest, I was very surprised at what a small pod vape is, getting swallowed up in the palm of my hand as I hold it!
I will say that this did feel a bit cheap and plasticky in hand, with some noticeable wobble with the pod connection, though the finish has held up well during my testing and I haven’t had any issues with pod connectivity.
When I turn the device on and power it up, it’s hard not to notice the 360 degree Galaxy display wrapping around the device.
Lost Vape have packed in 300 micro LEDs for shadow free lighting across the Galaxy display, and this is really noticeable as the display is both bright and beautiful.
It has a starry, nebula inspired design and this really does help to make this device stand out. The lighting is well tuned too, as it isn’t ridiculously bright when it lights up- you certainly won’t be seen from space when vaping this!
The Galaxy display itself only features a basic information screen, showing a coil and the battery percentage. There’s no information on the power output or coil resistance and no puff counter is present.
If you like to wear your vaping device around your neck, there is a lanyard hole present on the top corner of the device, and a lanyard is included in the box too.
Quick Start Guide
How to Fill the Pod
The Ursa Cartridge V3 features a top filling system, and there’s no need to remove the pod from the device in order to fill it as you can access the filling port whilst the pod is in the device.
Pop the silicon filling port cover open, stick the nozzle of your e-liquid bottle in and fill the pod up to the brim, taking care not to overfill it as e-liquid will come straight back out the filling port if you do!
If you are filling a fresh Ursa Cartridge V3 for the first time, let e-liquid sit in the pod for five minutes before you take a puff. This will allow the cotton in the coil to fully absorb the e-liquid, cutting down on the risk of dry hits happening and prolonging the lifespan of the pod.
Operation
The Lost Vape Galaxy S360 is a simple and easy to use device with an auto draw system, so when you have your pod filled and ready to vape you just take a puff on it to get it to fire.
There is a function button present on the base of the device, this turns the screen on if you press it once, enters power saving mode if you press it three times, and turns the device on or off with five presses.
Charging
No charging cable is included in the box, the Lost Vape Galaxy S360 supports 5V/2A chargers and it charges at a rate of 5V/1.2A.
The charging port is located on the base of the pod system, so you’ll need to lay the device down to charge it. Charging status is displayed on the screen as a percentage.
It by all means isn’t the speediest device at charging, taking around an hour to reach full charge.
Safety Features
- Low battery protection
- Open circuit protection
- Short circuit protection
- Vaping overtime protection
How Does The Lost Vape Galaxy S360 Perform?
You get a 0.8ohm Ursa Cartridge V3 included in the box, and the power output of the device is 5-35W.
There is no way of adjusting the power output, so this is determined by the resistance of the coil and the remaining battery level.
There is a power saving mode, which seems to slightly reduce the power output and turns the screen off to increase battery life.
With the included 0.8ohm cartridge, the maximum power the device will output is 17W, but it actually seems a bit stronger than that especially with how quickly it ramps up.
Power delivery is pretty much instant as soon as I take a puff, delivering a fairly intense vape with the included 0.8ohm cartridge.
Even with a 0.6ohm Ursa Cartridge V3, the lowest resistance one available, the power will only max out at 25W so perhaps Lost Vape have plans for some more Ursa Cartridge V3’s to hit the market and take full advantage of the maximum 35W power present here!
Flavour
I was very impressed with the flavour that I got from the included 0.8ohm Ursa Cartridge V3!
Primarily, I used 20mg nicotine salt e-liquids in this pod and I get a nice, full flavoured vape from it, with a solid and satisfying nicotine hit as well.
It keeps up well whilst chain vaping too, delivering a consistent flavour experience each time with no wild variances in flavour.
My e-liquids tasted exactly as I expected them to and that is all I can ask from a refillable pod really!
Lost Vape did also send over a pack of the 0.6ohm Ursa Cartridge V3’s and I preferred these to the 0.6ohm pods.
They were more suited to my vaping style, delivering a more powerful and warmer vape, and an even more intense vaping experience.
I would say that the 0.6ohm pods were better suited to restricted lung vaping, whereas the 0.8ohm ones are solid all rounders that can handle both mouth to lung and restricted lung vaping.
Pod Lifespan
I found that with my included pod, I got 5 days worth of heavy use before I needed to swap it out for a fresh one.
This was whilst I was vaping some pretty sweetener heavy e-liquids, which will impact on the lifespan of the coil and degrade it faster, plus I was vaping on it heavily as well!
These pods can handle both freebase and nicotine salt e-liquids just fine, but given the vape that they delivered I felt that these were slightly better suited to 10-20mg nicotine salt.
Airflow
On the side of the Lost Vape Galaxy S360 is an adjustable airflow control, which can be easily operated just by using my thumb. Once I had selected my airflow setting, it stays locked in place.
Battery Life
This is an area where the Lost Vape Galaxy S360 does fall a little short.
During my testing, I found that I would need to utilise power saving mode to make it through an entire days worth of heavy vaping.
Which isn’t the best for me as I like a powerful vape and the power saving mode seems to weaken the output somewhat.
Of course, if you vape fairly lightly or at work all day with little chance to pop out for a vape, there’s no reason why this shouldn’t last you until you can get home and charge it!
Pros
- Impressive flavour
- Adjustable airflow offering MTL and RDL options
- Beginner friendly, very easy to pick up and use
- Galaxy screen is nice to look at
- Small and discreet device
- No need to remove the pod to refill it
Cons
- No adjustable power settings
- Build quality feels a little on the cheap side
- Need to purchase lower resistance cartridges to fully take advantage of the maximum power output
Final Verdict
With the Lost Vape Galaxy S360, Lost Vape have designed a user friendly and attractive looking little pod system that offers simplicity and great performance at an extremely reasonable price point.
The Ursa Cartridge V3 offers a very tasty vape, and you have the benefit here of just filling up a pod, chucking it in the device and taking a puff. There’s no settings or anything to mess around with!
The Galaxy screen is a nice little touch too, helping this little refillable pod system stand out from a lot of the others on the market.
In terms of price, the Lost Vape Galaxy S360 is an excellent option to consider if you are on a tight budget, as I have found this for sale online with many retailers in the £13 mark.
That also makes the Lost Vape Galaxy S360 a very attractive option if you are making the jump from disposables or prefilled systems to a refillable one!
