Multi-award winning Ohm Boy E-liquids hail from Oxfordshire, right here in the UK, and has just released a new line of juice which could be classed as a botanical range.ohm boy e-liquids review

The company is the trading name of Oxford Vapours, that currently has 3 successful vape shops in the county and a large on line presence.

Ohm Boy E-Liquids began with a more traditional style of juice with the Volume 1 range – which I’ll also be putting to the taste test.

They have a simple philosophy:

BREAK FROM THE NORM · CHAMPION ORIGINALITY · DEMAND MAXIMUM AUTHENTICITY · CREATE, INTRIGUE & INSPIRE · BE THE CONSUMER · NEVER SETTLE FOR SECOND BEST

Powerful words!

What Can We Expect From The Ohm Boy E-Liquid Range?

As I’ve already stated the three from the original range are very much flavours you’ll pretty much find across the globe in various forms or another.

It’s the brand new Volume II line that piqued my interest – just one look at the labeling shows these could be very special indeed.

That interest doubles when you look at the ingredients – as you’ll see, there’s some very fancy fruits and flowers going on here!

ohm boy e-liquids

There’s a choice of 50ml zero nicotine 70/30 VG/PG short fills and indeed nicotine salts – more suitable for new vapers – and the company has very kindly sent me the lot – thank you so much.

BTW, the Ohm Boy e-liquid online store sells nic shots – should you wish to add one to the mix – and indeed some quite funky apparel, as well as a few other bits ‘n bobs of vape gear – well worth a look.

OK there’s a lot to get through with 13 bottles in total – an unlucky or lucky number for me?

We shall see 😉

For the taste test I used my flavourful Augvape BTFC RDA for the short fills and the GeekVape Ammit MTL RDA for the nic salts- both wicked with Fuzz vape cotton and freshly cleaned and wicked every time – and it took a bloody age lol.

Despite these being sent free of charge for the purpose of this review – freebies do not sway my thoughts and opinions.

Apple, Elderflower & Garden Mint – 70/30 VG / PG 50ml Short Fill

Apple-Elderflower-Garden-Mint ohm boy e-liquid review

Ohm Boy E-Liquids Say:

Mouth-watering Apple infused with fresh Mint, subtly augmented with notes of Elderflower for a refreshing all day vape.

I Say:

One of my exes used to adore Elderflower wine, a little to sweet for me as I prefer a deep full-bodied red. And given that break-up left a bitter taste in mouth – I wasn’t sure I’d like this one 😉

However!

For a start the aroma is absolutely stunning and immediately makes you think of genteel summer garden parties and croquet.

Yeah I know croquet doesn’t smell of anything – just think traditional Edwardian England.

The inhale is light yet flavourful if that makes sense – with each of the notes rather than competing, doing that typical English thing of “no after you I insist…

As in they’re all far too polite to come to the fore – an e-liquid with manners one might say 😉

The apple eventually edges it and very crisp it is too, whilst the elderflower adds a sweet and not at all perfumy flavour.

The exhale is sheer bliss for any tired taste buds as proper mint washes in and whilst not in anyway masking the main flavours – gives a gentle cleansing effect that lifts the fruit and flower to new heights of deliciousness.

WOW – this one is stunning and perfectly blended.

Apple, Elderflower & Garden Mint – 20mg Nic Salts

Apple, Elderflower & Garden Mint nic salt review

No real difference in flavour and if anything the apple is slightly richer.

That could of course be down to the nic salts giving a slightly deeper warmer taste.

Perfect for newbies to vaping who want to vape on something very special compared to other tired flavours and brands.

Cranberry, Apple & Raspberry – 70/30 VG / PG 50ml Short Fill

Cranberry-Apple-Raspberry ohm boy e-liquids review

Ohm Boy E-Liquids Say:

Sour Cranberry blended with juicy Apple and sweetened with fresh Raspberry for a lip-smacking fruit fusion.

I say:

Absolutely bang on my flavour profile given I do like my juices to make me scrunch my eyes and shudder lol.

Again the smell on opening the bottle is bloody amazing reminding me of those fancy breakfast fruit juices.

The inhale almost brought on my ‘sour face’ with those cranberries just this side of too tart.

The apple does a great job of taking the edge off, before the raspberry reminds your taste buds this is a tangy vape.

Once again superb blending and fresh flavours rather than over-sweetend makes this a luscious vape perfect for all day vaping.

WOW – another stunner that I can’t get enough of!

Cranberry, Apple & Raspberry – 20mg Nic Salts

Cranberry, Apple & Raspberry e-liquid review

Again the nic salts could be playing tricks – but this one whilst on the tart side isn’t quite as sour.

Instead you get a calmer and fruitier vape that is absolutely delicious.

Perfect for new vapers looking for a natural tasting e-liquid that isn’t over-sweetened.

Rhubarb, Raspberry & Orange Blossom – 70/30 VG / PG 50ml Short Fill

Rhubarb-Raspberry-Orange-Blossom oh boy e-liquid review

Ohm Boy E-Liquids Say:

Tart Rhubarb layered with sweet Raspberry, delicately finished with the floral notes of Orange Blossom.

I Say:

There’s that word again – tart – as in sour and not pastry and obviously bang on my flavour profile.

OK, opening the bottle fills your nostrils with the unmistakable sweet yet tangy orange blossom that promises good things to come.

My instant reaction was ‘proper’ and not all-year-round grown satsumas – my goodness 30years ago they were a yearly treat – sadly they’re mass produced all year round and have lost a lot of flavour.

Flavour isn’t a problem here, this one is bursting out all over!

The inhale gives you that shudder of sour rhubarb, slightly tamed by the not too sweet raspberry and then right at the back, just before it hits your lungs, along comes the sweet spring like orange blossom.

Again the exhale is pure magic with the vapour creating a wondrous – refreshing and perfectly balanced sugary and sour delight.

WOW – another masterpiece of e-liquid blending!

Rhubarb, Raspberry & Orange Blossom – 20mg Nic Salts

Rhubarb, Raspberry & Orange Blossom nic salt review

I know this has already become a gush-fest – but holy crap this one is a gorgeous nic salt based e-liquid.

Those orange notes appear to be more pronounced and you can almost feel the juice running down your chin!

Perfectly sweetened blending means the rhubarb and raspberry both keep their tartness – but that orange blossom tames them perfectly.

Sweetwater Grape & White Peach – 70/30 VG / PG 50ml Short Fill

Sweetwater-Grape-White-Peach - ohm boy e-liquid review

Ohm Boy E-Liquids Say:

Sun-kissed Grapes fresh from the vine, perfectly balanced with White Peach for a delicate, sweet fruit sensation.

I Say:

I’ve always found grape an extremely difficult flavour to create for e-liquids with many I’ve tried giving either too much sweetener or a nasty chemical aftertaste.

And despite all my years on this planet and given I love peaches and peach e-liquid – I’ve never tried a white peach – didn’t even know they existed lol.

Opening the bottle and you do get a punch in the face of sweet juicy peach to the fore, with obviously the grape underneath.

The exhale is again peachy – however the grape, whilst adding an almost wine flavour, does hold that perfume I was on about.

Sadly on the exhale the grape did leave a little after-taste that I didn’t like at all.

Not one for me I’m afraid.

I’m getting exactly the same perfumed after-taste of the grape with this one too.

Valencia Orange & Passion Fruit – 70/30 VG / PG 50ml Short Fill

Valencia-Orange-Passion-Fruit ohm boy e-liquid review

Ohm Boy E-Liquids Say:

The perfect marriage of ripe, juicy Orange and the tart complexion of Passion Fruit creates a deliciously tangy taste bud treat.

I Say:

Our Jonny – site admin and EcigClick founder – took a bottle of this on his hols and bloody loves it…no pressure here then lol…

Trust me you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d just opened a bottle of freshly squeezed OJ when you take the top off this one.

That is some seriously clever aromamatics [is there such a word] going on there so please don’t be tempted to drink it!

I vape a lot on a certain juice that’s orange and lemon based – as you can see I do like the sweet ‘n sour natural vapes.

Yes the inhale brings in sweet Valencia [fancy name for Spanish grown] oranges – which I have had the pleasure to taste in the flesh.

However – and don’t come for me lol – it’s not the vape I was expecting from the stunning aroma.

The passion fruit – I was hoping would add a tang to the orange sweetness – just isn’t there.

It’s a bloody lovely orange vape – another fruit hard to transfer to e-liquids – but sadly just a tad too sweet for my stale old taste buds.

Had that passion fruit been a little sharper – it might have taken the edge of the too sweet for me orange…

Yes it is a lovely fruit vape, but not as zingy and tangy as I was hoping for.

As we always say “taste is subjective” 😉

Valencia Orange & Passion Fruit – 20mg Nic Salts

Valencia Orange & Passion Fruit nic salt review

Sadly and again it might be the nic salt element, but a little too sweet for me.

Don’t let me put you off – if you like fruit flavours I wouldn’t put you off this one!

Bonus Taste Round! Ohm Boy Volume 1 Award Winning Range

Just three to taste in the more traditional flavoured e-liquids ideal for flavour and cloud chasers alike.

Ohm Boy E-liquids describe them thus:

Meet a range of affordable premium flavours from Ohm Boy E-liquids, presented by Oxford Vapours.

5 years of vaping retail experience and months of flavour development have one into creating the ‘origins’ range.

A small but diverse selection of juices sure to satisfy the most discerning of flavour chasers.

Let’s give them a blast.

Caramel Latte on Ice – 70/30 PG / VG – 50ml Short Fill

CARAMEL-LATTE-ohm boy e-liquid review

Ohm Boy E-Liquids Say:

Layers of authentic coffee, creamy milk and sweet caramel are infused with an icy finish for a delicious latte vape.

I Say:

Sometimes when my ‘friend’ – sexy delivery driver Julie [swoons] – brings me vape mail, she also brings a couple of what she calls posh coffees and stops for a chat.

During the summer she brought a couple of this exact flavour with me going “Iced coffee? Do I look like a coffee bar posing hipster with an Apple Mac?

How how we laughed – totally friend-zoned now as even two years on she doesn’t get my irony or poor attempt at wit lol.

Anyway, I’m not a very adventurous coffee or e-liquid kind of bloke but the smell off this one had me smiling.

Wonderfully blended with a sugary toffee toned down by the bitter-ish coffee on the inhale.

The trouble for me is, that creamy milk comes in on the exhale spoiling what otherwise would be a great vape.

Pity.

Raspberry & Mango Lemonade – 70/30 PG / VG – 50ml Short Fill

RASPBERRY-MANGO- ohm boy e-liquid review

Ohm Boy E-Liquids Say:

Treat your taste buds to this refreshing blend of ripe mango, sour raspberry and sweet lemonade.

I Say:

This exact flavour is one of my go to e-liquids and this one has just edged it!

The smell is divine with the mango competing with the raspberry for who’s the fruitiest.

The inhale is a delight with both juices complementing themselves perfectly with the raspberry finally winning the taste tussle adding a gorgeous sharpness – oh my.

As for the lemonade?

Perfect blending once again means it sits in the back notes pouncing with perfect timing at the edge of the inhale before exploding on the exhale leaving an amazing slightly cooled taste.

This one is almost too sweet for me – but the mixoligists have just put the brakes on leaving an extremely pleasant refreshing all day vape.

Gorgeous stuff!

Grape Soda Gummy Candy – 70/30 PG / VG – 50ml Short Fill

GRAPE-SODA-ohm boy e-liquid review

Ohm Boy E-Liquids Say:

Grape Soda Gummy Candy is an addictive crowd pleaser, which packs a punch of sweet purple American Grape.

Juicy, Gummy Fruit background notes and just a hint of Lemonade combine for memorable candy clouds.

A simple, but well balanced recipe sure to be a fan favourite.

I Say:

Regulars know I don’t do menthol e juice or indeed candy vapes – so this one is most definitely off my vaping radar.

This is the latest flavour in the more traditional range.

And again – for my nose anyway – the smell is a little overpowering with that grape perfume and I knew instinctively this was way too sweet for me.

The inhale confirmed this and I almost got a sugar rush such is the whack of sugary candy and to the fore that grape perfume.

Exhaling is no different either with even what I was hoping would be a zingy lemonade only adding to the far too sweet vape for me.

Definitely one for the sweet toothed vapers out there though.

Final Review Verdict

What can I say my coils and taste buds have pretty much been spoiled again!

Back when I began reviewing there really were some bloody awful juices out there – how times have changed and for the better!

The Volume II are superbly presented and despite my tired old taste buds not liking a couple, they are all definitely what I’d class as Premium and then some.

Bold ingredients and mixing that’s nigh on perfect – what’s not to like – great prices too.

The addition of the salt nicotine range is a very clever idea, opening up crafted – rather than same old mass-produced – flavours to new and regular MTL vapers.

Dare I say the Volume II line could easily present itself as artisanal – they’re that good.

The Volume 1 range of e-liquid was a little mainstream if you catch my drift with one of the tasty trio really zinging off my tongue.

There really is something for everyone here and trust me the juice is kind to your coils and a real treat for your taste buds.

    • Thanks mate – the Volume II are on the whole very good indeed – just a couple not quite to my taste – but an awesome line nonetheless 🙂
