Today I’m taking a look at the Pacha Mama short fill Ice range of E-liquids.
Pacha Mama is an E-liquid range that’s been created by US manufacturer Charlie’s Chalk Dust. These guys have been in the business since 2014 and have built up something of a reputation for themselves.
They deliver high quality flavours that consistently deliver. Ask 9/10 vapers if they’ve heard of CCD and you’ll get the thumbs up.
Not long ago we reviewed the Pacha Mama Dessert range (also short fill) and the same complex layering of fruits have been applied to the Ice range.
What Can We Expect From the Pacha Mama 50ml Short Fill Ice Range?
Plenty of Ice, Mama!
As the name of the range suggests each one comes with its own quota of Menthol. How well it works at bringing out the combination of fruits on offer will be quite interesting.
Charlie’s Chalk Dust best describes it:
‘The most desirable fruits on earth blended to an eclectic assortment of icy vape liquids’.
They’re available as 50ml of E-liquid in a 60ml short fill chubby Gorilla bottle. This means there’s space to add a 10ml 18mg nicotine shot to bring the overall strength up to 3mg.
Just a note on adding nicotine shots. Remember to vigorously shake the bottle once added so that it’s evenly dispersed throughout the E-liquid. I would personally repeat this process a good few times before vaping.
..Patience is a virtue. Do as I say – not as I do! lol
I’ll be adding a high VG nicotine shot to thicken the juice up since I’m using an RDA (rebuildable dripping atomizer).
These flavours are exotic but don’t expect Pitaya, Lychee or Mangosteen. All six in the range are designed to be instantly accessible to the average vaper on the street.
- 50ml Short fill E-liquid
- 0mg strength
- Space for 1 x 10ml nicotine shot
- Created for sub ohm devices
- Made in the UK
- TPD compliant
- Childproof Cap
- Tamper evident seal

I used my trusty Dead Rabbit V2 RDA with a single Ni80 quad fused Clapton coil running at 48W on top of the SX Mini V2. Cotton Gods organic cotton was the wicking medium of choice. It was changed with each consecutive juice testing.
Massive thanks to Vapeclub for sending these over for the purposes of review. Please remember that taste is subjective and experiences may alter slightly depending on your own set up.
Pacha Mama Ice Range – Blue Melon
An irresistible honeydew flavour vape. Capturing juicy notes of Honeydew Melon paired with a cooling ice menthol to create a refreshing vape experience!
The ice menthol isn’t as dominant as I expected. Although it does build on the inhale it doesn’t blast the back of the throat.
The exhale is where it all happens. I’m instantly presented with the muskiness of a ripe honeydew Melon. The sweetness of the fruit lines the lips towards the end of the vape.
It’s slightly drier than I’d have liked and does lack some of the natural juiciness of the Melon but Blue Melon isn’t lacking in flavour. It’s consistent throughout the duration of the vape, leaving its impression with an effective after taste.
I’m also left thinking of Bubble gum of all things. The taste is very reminiscent of a candy style chewie. So my brain can’t quite decide whether I’m vaping Melon or candy gum.
It’s great if you like this type of Melon. I’d still rather stick with Watermelon but it’s all subjective to individual taste.
Pacha Mama Ice Range – Citrus Monkey
An amazing citrusy-tropical vape. Capturing zesty Blood Orange flavours paired with a creamy Banana taste and a cooling ice menthol to create a refreshing vape experience!
The stand out element of this one is the fresh Blood Orange. Personally there also seems to be some wild Mint thrown into the fusion. The overall taste experience is quite subtle in nature. Nothing specifically jumps out – it’s more of a combining of flavour notes.
Again, I’m a fan of the Ice Menthol because it doesn’t over power or take over the vaping experience.
Yet discovering creamy Banana is something of an issue. I really can’t figure out where it fits in with the grand scheme of things.
In general the flavour during exhale is good with some citrus and sweet notes developing mid vape. I would personally have liked the Orange and Banana to have been stronger and bolder.
I guess Charlie’s Chalk Dust have gone with a more subtle approach.
Pacha Mama Ice Range – Fuji Apple
Instantly taste the hints of a fresh Fuji Apple with the flavour of ripe Strawberries followed by a pleasantly surprising flavour of a sour Nectarine and a blast of ice.
I get quite a strong aroma of those Fuji Apples when dripping down into the RDA. The first thing to strike is its sharpness, combined with a soothing icy inhale.
There’s plenty of sweetness on offer which swiftly latches onto the taste buds. More prominent during inhale is the tartness of the Nectarine and its sour properties spill out at the start of the exhale.
It makes way for a somewhat artificial, candy style Strawberry that fails to hold my attention. Its presence doesn’t seem to last very long, either.
The Fuji Apples hit home – and hit home very effectively. They create a combination of sweet, bitter crispness that I’ve rarely experienced and I like it.
With Fuji Apple it’s all about the leading fruit coupled with a frosty inhale. Those two create more than enough impact but the Nectarine and especially Strawberry are left to play second fiddle.
It’s good but not quite the explosion of flavour I was hoping for.
Pacha Mama – Pink Mango
A fantastic tropical blend. Capturing juicy notes of Mango fused with a mystery exotic pink fruit then paired with a cooling ice menthol to create a refreshing vape experience!
Ooh! I’m liking this one..
Pink Mango is nothing like I was expecting based on the flavour description. The inhale produces just a touch of cooling ice, nothing overwhelming and nothing that stings the throat.
The high end of the exhale exhibits a copious level of creaminess. Yes, you read that correctly. Totally unexpected. I would personally associate that with coconut. It’s very welcome and definitely adds some depth and character to the vape.
Sitting just beneath this is a refreshing squeezed Orange and although clearly present is still quite subtle in output.
The sweet and sour properties of the vape nestle on the lips post vape, also capturing the lining of the mouth. This effectively creates the flavour’s mouth watering abilities and does so to great effect.
Although I’m hard pressed to associate Mango with the profile the blending is spot on with Pink Mango. It’s definitely a tropical vape destined for enjoyment during those long hot Summer months.
Pacha Mama – Strawberry Jubilee
Capturing ripe notes of summer Strawberries paired with juicy Jubilee Watermelons and a cooling ice menthol to create a refreshing vape experience!
The key player here is the fresh, ripe Watermelon. It presents itself from the first moment of exhale. The sensible level of cooling ice helps to elevate the fruit and accentuate its flavour properties.
With the Strawberry content I find it’s more about the sweeter elements. It doesn’t really translate to much in my honest opinion. Then again, I’ve never found this mixture of fruit to be very effective and one always tends to dominate the other.
That’s what’s happening here, I think.
It’s still a smooth, well rounded and flavoursome vape but I don’t feel you’re really getting what you’ve paid for. It could’ve been a different vape story if the Strawberry had pulled through as an after taste or later during the exhale.
Charlie’s Chalk Dust have tried to fuse the two main ingredients together and for me, at least, haven’t really succeeded.
However, if you’re prepared to sacrifice one fruit for the other, as a Watermelon vape Strawberry Jubilee will no doubt suffice.
Pacha Mama – Sweet And Classic
Capturing juicy notes of Honeycrisp Apples also known as Honey Crunch in Europe paired with a cooling ice menthol to create a refreshing vape experience!
Now this is ice menthol just as I like it. Soothing on the throat while still retaining its cooling properties throughout the vape.
The sweetness of the fruit is also drawn up into the inhale, preparing for the flavour explosion on the way out.
The Honeycrisp Apples certainly taste tangy and that’s the first thing I take away from the vape. They’re fresh, ripe and latch onto the sweetness generated by the inhale.
By now, I’m wondering about my set up. Again I’m convinced there are creamy back notes running alongside the crisp Apple. I can’t describe it any differently because it’s smoothing out the texture of the exhale and also distinct by its characteristic Vanilla taste.
You’ll need to be aware that the fruit content is once again rather subtle. Yet it’s consistent throughout the entire exhale. The tart like qualities of the Apple will linger pleasantly as an after taste helping to finish off a pretty damn special creation.
Sweet and Classic doesn’t offer complexity but as a straight forward single fruit profile it offers authenticity by the vape load.
Final Review Verdict
First things first. I really enjoyed the ice menthol content of the range. It never overwhelmed or stole the limelight and that’s something I always look for. So in other words, Charlie’s Chalk Dust have done a good job with the cooling theme.
It successfully helped to accentuate some of the fruits when needed, most notably with Sweet and Classic (my personal favourite).
In general the majority of the fruit content was quite subtle in output and maybe a little unbalanced because of this. At times it was hard to distinguish one from the other where layering was concerned. As a result, the complexity I was searching for was a bit lacking – Strawberry Jubilee being a strong example.
However they were all authentic tasting with a sensible peppering of natural sweetener to drive them along.
Vapour production from the single fused Clapton was excellent. I really couldn’t ask for more. It even created that fullness in the throat during inhale.
Although all the E-liquids were clear in appearance I did notice early signs of discolouration on the cotton. Over time I guess this could lead to the coil gunking up. I’ll have to update the review to let you know.
Not the best vapes I’ve ever tried but certainly not the worst by a long ‘chalk’..
