A Real ROK Legend?
I have reviewed a number of ROK Universal products and one thing that has to be said is that they are producing products that appeal to all levels of vaper.

The ROK Jet Black was the pick of the bunch from the mini e cigs and the ROK Star was a favourite of ours when reviewed a year or so ago. The ROK Legend is basically the replacement e cigarette of the ROK Star which has now been discontinued.
So it’s safe to say we were pretty excited when the news of a new ROK e cig began to surface.
That kit is the ROK Legend, an EGO type e cig. For the purposes of full disclosure we did receive this kit free of charge but as always here at Ecigclick we will keep everything as honest as possible in both the good and not so good points!
In the box / Presentation
The ROK Legend as with all of their products is very professionally presented this time in a cardboard sleeve
Inside the box you will find the following neatly presented:
- 1 Manual Batteries – 900 mAh
- 1 Tank with a 2.4ml capacity
- 1 Mouthpiece lids
- Faux Leather pouch with lanyard
- USB Charger
Battery / Responsiveness
The Legend starter kit comes with one 900mAh stainless steel manual battery.
This is pretty much the standard offering for EGO type kits that come with two batteries but many of what’s available is pretty unremarkable in terms of design and quality.
These batteries step up-to the plate and offer a sleek, great looking battery that feels quality in the hand.
One of the main reasons we are liking this design is due to the button being flush with the battery body as well as the fact they are surrounded by a halo light that gives an indication as to the remaining charge on the battery. When the light is green the battery is charged, when yellow this indicates 55% charge and when it turns red on pressing the button there is 25% charge remaining.
Whilst this isn’t a feature that is going to change the way in which we vape today it is something that some may find useful. Even if it just means you aren’t leaving the house with 25% or less of your battery remaining then it could save the dreading dead battery when out and about!
The 900 mAh provided a good 1 1/2 days so, for me, they have plenty of life in them.
As with other batteries in this mold there is an on/off function, simply press the button 3 times in succession to turn on and the same to switch the battery off.
This is a good function to have on manual batteries to prevent any unwanted ‘switching on’ when in your pocket or bag.
No problems here, I was very impressed with the battery not only in the performance but also the quality in the hand.
Vapour / Flavour
The Legend kit comes with one disposable tankomisers but no e-liquid, this is available to buy separately in 10ml bottles.
There are a number of flavours available some of which we have reviewed here. For this review I used a menthol e-liquid.
The tankomisers have a good capacity at 2.4ml, unlike other tanks you may have seen these don’t have the think marker lines, they simply have 2 thick black line markers. The bottom line marks 1.2ml and the higher 2nd line marks 2.4ml.
One of the reasons they have set the markers out in this way is to distance themselves from looking too much like a medical device which is what the MHRA are proposing to do come 2016.
The tanks are easy to fill, its just a case of unscrewing the mouthpiece and carefully dripping the liquid down the wall of the tank.
There are two long wicks which soak up the juice so its advised to wait 5 minutes or so to allow the wicks to soak up the e-liquid ready to vape.
The throat hit and vapour volume will of course depend on the e-liquid you are using but the one I used produced a good vapour volume as expected.
The tankomisers themselves are recommended by ROK to be re-filled 5 times before they are replaced.
I personally got more out of these, replacing mine after around 9 refills. This will differ from user to user but in general they should be changed once your juice’s flavour starts to diminish.
Almost forgot, but worth a mention. They also come with a lid that fits nicely on the end when not in use to keep the mouthpiece from getting any nasty surprises in it when you have it in your bag or pocket.
Can’t comment on flavour as e-liquid needs to be purchased as an extra but the tank itself worked very well and the quality was in keeping with the battery itself.
Returns / Warranty
ROK offer a 7 day return on unopened product. As always check their website for up to date T&C’s!
I find that this is a strong point and they have been both responsive and helpful. They can be contacted via telephone and e-mail. They are also active on Facebook and Twitter.
Overall – If you skipped through everything!
I was impressed with the ROK Legend e cigarette, the quality was very good throughout as well as the battery design and performance. The two batteries (650 mAh & 900 mAh) provide enough life even for heavy vapers while the tankomisers helped provide a solid vape.
There is an introductory price on the starter kit at the moment but if you were to buy the 2 batteries, 2 tankomisers and the USB charger separately then you can actually get them for a good price.
There will be no presentation box or carry pouch so that is something you would have to decide if you need or not. Me personally for the sake of the extra few £’s I would get the full kit so I get everything in one place with a good box to keep it all in.
That aside! I would highly recommend this ROK starter kit for all levels of electronic cigarette user, especially those that want aren’t too bothered about starting out with a mini ‘cig a like’ e cigarette.
Final ROK Legend Verdict:
