The REMentry RDA is a new re-buildable dripping atomiser from REM Creations, previously responsible for the SMPL 2.0 mechanical mod, which was a best seller in the USA, and one of the shortest RDA’s ever produced, the REMatty.

The REMentry RDA promises to offer a straightforward 3 post RDA, that appeals to newbies and experienced users alike, complete with competition top cap to appeal to cloud chasers, large build deck and solid posts, at an affordable price without any compromise on the performance. REMenty RDA Review

I think it is a really nice, simple looking RDA, but does it also perform??

Kit Contents

  • REMentry RDA
  • Spares kit with spare o-rings, screwdriver and post screws

Top marks for the packaging, the REMentry RDA comes housed in a very boutique perspex box with foam insert containing the RDA and the spares. The REMentry RDA is available in five different colours- black, stainless steel, blue, white and red. The design and finish is superb, a really clean looking and simple stylish design that belies its relatively cheap price tag!

The REMentry RDA Set Up

The REMentry RDA is primarily aimed at entry-level users with it’s simple three square post design with large post holes, the posts designed to ensure that the Phillips head screws won’t get threaded in the posts, and the posts won’t spin as well as being easy for beginners to build with.REM Creations Rementry parts

Despite it’s short stature you have loads of room for your builds and a huge 5mm juice well that retains plenty of juice. The REMentry RDA was sparkling clean on arrival, not a speck of machine oil residue was found here, so I could dive straight into building!

Now the REMentry RDA despite being a three post RDA aimed at being user friendly to beginners is still a dual coil RDA, I found no way to close off the second airflow slot in order to support a single coil build.

Not to worry though, I pressed on with a dual 7 wrap clapton coil build with a 3mm internal diameter that came out at 0.35ohms.

Coil legs slotted in perfectly to the post holes and the screws trapped the legs down with no trouble, despite this being quite a thick build! I still had a bit of room to spare in the deck and probably could have had an extra wrap or two on either side.base of the REMentry RDA

The top cap was quite stiff when trying to remove it, there is a large section of delrin along with an o-ring holding the top cap in place which requires a bit of force to remove it.

The delrin wide bore drip tip is fixed to the afc ring, the airflow control is quite easily adjusted with this system allowing you to close right down or open right up the opposing cyclops airflow slots to suit your tastes. Happily this section comes out easily allowing you to drip your juice onto your build.

Key Features

  • Three post design with squared shaped posts and large holes for easy building
  • 22mm in diameter
  • Adjustable cyclops airflow
  • Matching competition cap with airflow tabs
  • PEEK insulators
  • Delrin base to reduce heat
  • Copper 510 pin for conductivity
  • Four beautiful and vibrant finishes

How Does The REMentry RDA Perform?

Despite its relatively low price tag, the REMentry RDA is one of the best performing RDA’s I have ever used. For starters, the friendly build deck and posts allow for any number of different builds to be installed, and this can all be done easily even with the thickest of wire material used.

Flavour or cloud chasing builds can be installed and used with little issue, and there is plenty of space available. With the 5mm deep juice well you find yourself needing to drip juice less and less, as plenty of juice is retained in the juice well, meaning the REMentry RDA is ideal for those who like to drip on the move.REM RDA on SMY 60 TC Mod

This is also easily done without needing to remove the entire top cap section, as the drip tip/airflow control ring combo can be pulled out and re inserted with ease.

Using one of my go to e-liquids, Wick Liquor Contra, flavour from this RDA is outstanding, with it measuring only 23mm from top to bottom you have less room for the vapour to travel to your palate, and thus less room for flavour to dissipate.

The delrin wide bore drip tip spreads flavour out onto your taste buds allowing maximum flavour delivery.RDA-Deck-of REM Entry by REMcreations

My juices tasted outstanding in the REMentry RDA, and this RDA has really started to become a go to for me when I have been using complex tasting juices. Even with the airflow wide open for lung hits, the flavour was excellent.

Massive clouds are definitely achievable here. With the combination of the delrin base and drip tip the REMentry RDA stays cool even at 100w, your vape is warm at this level but you have no worries about burning your lips on a hot drip tip! With the airflow wide open you can achieve huge clouds on par with just about any dedicated cloud chasing RDA out there, for a mini RDA this really performs superbly well on this front.

Seasoned RDA users and newbies alike will be right at home with the REMentry RDA as it’s very forgiving to build on and provides superb performance in general.

Final Review Verdict

Massively impressed with this offering from REM Designs. They have come up with an RDA that can be used easily by experienced users and newbies, whilst providing vapour and flavour performance on par with just about anything out there.

I would love to see a version that truly supports single coil set ups, but I have been really happy with this in dual coil. It is up there with anything that I have tried in the past!

It’s a mini RDA that packs a massive punch well above it’s small stature and reasonable price tag!

Pros

  • Budget price, very affordable for such a well performing RDA
  • Beautiful design
  • Very easy and forgiving to build on
  • Superb flavour performance
  • Huge vapour production
  • Stays cool even at high power
  • Suited for experienced users and beginners alike

Cons

  • Stiff top cap can require a bit of force to remove
  • Not for the single coil enthusiast, only for dual coil use

Been vaping full time for three and a half years, started on cigalikes for a fair while then curiosity got the better of me and I moved onto an ego/ce5 set up after, a month or two later I was seeing people walking around with these interesting shiny tubes and I thought 'I gotta get one of those'. Before I knew it a trip down to my local B&M got me my first VW mod, an Innokin SVD, paired with an iClear 30, and I was hooked. Soon after that I was jumping to VW mods both box and tube shaped, before I then made the jump to rebuilding and thus sub ohming, with my first RDA and mech mod. These days I'm still preferring mechanical mods, but using VW mods with both RDA's and tanks alike whilst on the move, most importantly I am still loving vaping!
