The Wismec Luxotic Surface Kit includes the Luxotic Surface Squonk mod and the Kestrel RDTA.

Starting with the Kestrel RDTA this has a mesh heating element which is a flat plate. Similar to the Joyetech NCFilm used in the Cubis Max tank and Joyetech Magic Pod
Wismec say this mesh plate has a long life and can be removed to clean and rewick between plate changes. Apparently the lifespan should be at least 3 months of use.
As this is a Squonk RDTA there is a bottom feed 510 pin and when you feed the tank with the liquid in the mod squonk bottle it will fill up the small 2ml tank section first to ensure that there is plenty of liquid in the tank. You can also use the side filling port to fill up the tank too.
By rotating the top cap you can adjust the airflow inlets to your preference.
The Luxotic Surface mod is similar to the original Luxotic squonk mod – but this time you do get a screen.
The 0.49in OLED screen displays all the applicable info and is used to select between the user modes of Variable Wattage, Temperature Control, By-pass or TCR.
Inside the mod is the Avatar chip which is used in a lot of Wismec mods and has apparently been upgraded for the Luxotic Surface. As you would expect there are plenty of circuit protections too.
There is a 6.5ml squonk bottle included in the kit and the mod will output up to 80W using a single 18650 battery.
There are 4 colours to choose from – Unistar, Basketball, Linear and Honeycomb.

Hi! Materials used in the build/ mod? Plastic? Zinc alloy? Stainless?
Just looking on the Wismec Website and it doesn’t mention them sadly – the Squonk Bottle is Food Grade Silicone if that helps. This hasn’t been released yet so we can only go by what the manufacturers say in a Preview.
