Black Note E Liquid is a N.E.T range of tobacco liquid crafted by tobacco connoisseurs and provided for the tobacco enthusiast.Black note E Liquid Review

Using natural extraction methods to capture a true tobacco essence and thus the most realistic tobacco vaping experience around, Black Note employ a 6-8 week cold steeping method from the finest tobacco leaves.

Rather than using artificial tobacco flavoring, this allows the aromas and taste to develop naturally and preserves the signature flavor notes of each tobacco leaf.

Black Note E Juice – A Naturally Extracted Tobacco e-Juice

Black Note vape juice is the first and currently the only lab certified naturally extracted tobacco E Liquid available, free of any potential harm causing compounds such as Acetyl Propionyl or Diacetyl, so you know your juice is nasty free.

There’s also no artificial additives here, what you are getting is tobacco juice at it’s purest!

The range is currently available in 10ml bottles (TPD countries) and 30ml bottles in the USA, with nicotine strengths of 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, 12mg, 18mg and 24mg, the latter is only available in the USA.

We got our hands on the full Black Note e juice range. Let’s have a look at what the range has to offer!

NOTE: the Black Note vape juice review has been updated by Neil H to include 2 flavours: Concerto and Quartet and to list those that have sadly been discontinued.

Presentation

I have to reserve a special mention for the presentation of Black Note E Liquid, as it is truly remarkable.

Each 30ml bottle (or 3 X 10ml in TPD countries) is presented in a cylindrical cardboard presentation box, much like you would expect from a vintage whiskey.

The labeling and bottle presentation is fantastic, with information about the individual juice present on the label.

Black Note also provide an excellent level of customer service, with quick responses to any queries submitted through the site and any issues rectified quickly.

If you are in the US, Black Note guarantee to deliver your order within 3 working days or your order is free. That is outstanding!

Even the Black Note website, Blacknote.com, is one of the best presented websites I have visited from any vendor in the industry. The quality of the pictures on the site and the layout is second to none.

Black Note Concerto

black-note-concerto-eliquid-10ml-uk

Black Note Says:

Black Note Concerto is a high-quality cigar tobacco vaping e-liquid with a pleasant and aromatic flavour.

The flavour notes range from mildly sweet to slightly spicy, all enhanced with rich and subtle smoky undertones.

Concerto both tastes like and uses the same types of tobacco found in high-end Cuban cigars.

I Say:

Not sure if this vape juice is steeped on the bare thighs of Cuban babes, but it really is a silky smooth vape, with more than a bit of a kick on the finish…

The aroma is a sheer delight for lovers of a good cigar like me – hey sue me it’s my bi-annual birthday and Christmas treat!

The inhale has a hint of sweetness before a kind of spicy throat tickling warmth arrives.

The exhale brings it all together in an absolutely fantastic vape with your mouth watering with the sheer intensity of it all.

Absolutely stunning and with a glass of scotch or brandy – this one is quite simply sublime…

Black Note Quartet

black-note-quartet-eliquid-review

Black Note Says:

Black Note Quartet’s taste comes from extracts of Latakia tobacco.

A traditional Syrian blend, Latakia is first cured in the sun, then cured again using smoke from aromatic herbs.

This complicated process gives it a peppery, complex taste that Quartet captures perfectly.

I Say:

The sweet aroma is deceptive, at least to a certain extent.

There is a split second sugariness on the inhale but that’s swamped by a very rich dry organic flavour that is really quite addictive.

This is going to sound weird – what’s new lol – but I can almost taste the burning of the tobacco!

Indeed the first few puffs and I had to check the coil and cotton on my GeekVape Ammit MTL RDA!

To say this an extremely clever bit of blending is an understatement – you can literally taste the smoke!

The exhale just gets better with a sharp peppery tang adding to the waves of various flavour notes creating one of the very best tobacco e-liquids I’ve had the pleasure of vaping.

Gorgeous stuff!

ForteBlack Note Forte review

Forte is described as a burley tobacco cultivated in the fertile volcanic soils around Naples, Black Note’s burley is ripened by the warm Italian sun before being shade dried and light-air cured.

Offering a subtle, slightly sweet flavor, Forte offers the full-bodied flavor and rich vaping experience typical of Burley tobacco.

Forte I found to be a strong, full bodied tobacco with a perfect balance of throat hit to suit- I almost found this to be akin to a cigarillo.

Whilst Forte is strong, it isn’t overpoweringly strong, it retains a smoothness and cleanliness to the juice making it extremely moreish and a perfect after dinner vape!

LegatoBlacknote legato review

Legato is an Italian Kentucky Tobacco, planted on the sun-drenched slopes of Tuscany, Italian Kentucky tobacco has an American name and an Italian heart.

Flue-cured to release the tobacco’s natural resins for a rich-bodied vaping experience, Legato offers a mildly nutty and aromatic flavor with a finish that’s both earthy and smooth.

Legato is another stunning juice from the Black Note range, a very full bodied tobacco with woody and earthy notes and a nutty undertone.

Again, like Forte, it isn’t overpoweringly strong, it’s very smooth, and the throat hit complements Legato.

It’s one you could easily have as an all day vape, and another juice that those craving that cigarette taste will enjoy.

PreludeBlack note prelude Juice Review

Prelude is a Virginia blend grown in the sandy alluvial plains at the foot of the Italian Alps, Prelude’s Virginia tobacco derives subtle flavors unique to the Verona soils.

Once harvested, the leaves are flue-cured to release their natural sugars and resins, resulting in a light, bright taste and aroma.

Oh Prelude is so, so smooth! It was very close to Cadenza as being my pick of the range, and I feel the mildness of Prelude is the ideal prelude to the heavy Perique blend experienced with Cadenza.

Throat hit is reduced when comparing it to the heavier blends, but there’s also a lovely touch of sweetness that’s going to really appeal to the ex roll up smokers!

It’s a really authentic Virginia taste, far more so than any other Virginia blend of E Liquid I have ever tried, and this would be my all day vape out of the Black Note range. Truly superb.

SoloSolo E-Liquid Review from Black Note

Solo is the Menthol blend of the Black Note range, and the only one that contains any flavoring other than Tobacco.

Solo begins with a fine, ultra-smooth Virginia tobacco to provide a rich, flavorful base, then incorporates a layer of natural menthol oils derived through a special extraction process.

The result is a refreshing mint flavor without any harsh bite for a bright, cool vaping experience.

Solo is definitely more akin to a menthol cigarette than a traditional menthol E-Liquid.

You get the subtleness of the Virginia tobacco, a la Prelude, with a mix of really natural and authentic mild menthol taste that does have a little nip at the back of your throat.

It’s ideal for cleansing your palate in between tasting the different complex flavors from the Black Note range, yet subtle enough to stand out on its own!

SonataBlack Note Sonata review

Sonata is a Cavendish blend, originating in the 17th century, Cavendish uses a unique process of cutting and curing designed to bring out the natural sweetness of the tobacco leaf.

Sonata uses only fire-cured dark Virginia tobacco, steamed and cured under pressure to allow the rich, robust flavors to fully develop.

Sonata is without doubt the sweetest flavor of the Black Note range, however it relies on the natural sweetness from the dark Virginia tobacco rather than adding any additional sweetener to the liquid.

The result is a very natural sweet tobacco vape, that lingers on the taste buds, with what I detected to be a little touch of nuttiness and almost a creamy feel to the vape. Delicious!

Adagio – DISCONTINUED

Black note Adagio e liquid review
Adagio is described as a uniquely sweet, mildly spicy, aromatic flavor of Havana tobacco, complemented by rich, smoky undertones to create a flavor recognized around the globe.

Grown for centuries in Cuba’s moist, tropical climate, Havana is regarded as one of the world’s most flavorful tobaccos.

Certainly upon smelling the bottle I got a real strong aroma of Cuban cigar, that was really pleasing.

The taste of Adagio certainly bought back memories of a premium cigar, with a touch of sweetness with a hint of spice at the back of my throat, and primarily I really got a strong flavor of Havana tobacco leaf from Adagio.

Throat hit was strong with Adagio which is in line with the Havana tobacco leaf! This is one to please the ex cigar smokers!

Bravura – DISCONTINUED

Bravura Blacknote review

Bravura is described as being air-cured and naturally fermented, beginning with smooth, rich undertones of the finest red burley, using a centuries-old process to achieve deep, earthy notes with subtle hints of fruit.

The result is a complex, full-bodied vaping experience reminiscent of the world’s premium tobaccos.

Bravura is a Perique blend, which is one of the finest and most exclusive pipe tobaccos available.

It’s very earthy, dark and rich with in my opinion the strongest throat hit of the range. There’s an ever so slight fruity twang to Bravura present that complements the earthiness of the juice perfectly.

Cadenza – DISCONTINUED

Black Note Cadenza review

Cadenza is described as a sun-cured, highly aromatic and mildly spicy, basma tobacco is considered by some tobacco experts to be the finest aromatic tobacco in the world.

Grown exclusively in the mountainous area of Northeastern Greece known as Xanthi, basma has earned a reputation as the “king of tobaccos.”

Cadenza was my pick of the Black Note range. I particularly enjoyed the subtle spiciness and the dry yet extremely flavorful vape I got from this juice, it just kept me coming back for more and more.

Cadenza would be the juice I would recommend to anyone who is still craving the taste of a cigarette, as the taste and smell was very close to the real thing, albeit a lot cleaner and crisper!

Encore- DISCONTINUED

Black note Adagio e liquid review

At first, I was taken aback with just how smooth this juice is. I must say I was bracing myself for it to be stronger than it actually is.

The smooth vape this e juice offers is fantastic and makes Black Note Encore a real easy going vape.

It’s ideal for seasoned tobacco lovers or those new to vaping and looking for a tobacco flavour to help get them off of the cigarettes for good.

I can definitely pick up a hint of honey and the smoothness to boot, and a deep, robust tobacco with some natural sweetness thrown into the mix.

From start to finish, it is packed with smooth and tasty flavour, and is easy going enough to be an all day vape.

Unfortunately, Encore has been discontinued in the USA. At the time of writing, however, there are a few bottles left in the UK! Seriously, jump on this one while you still can!

Vapour Volume

There’s a reasonable amount of vapor volume from the Black Note range, in fact it’s better than average, it’s a 50/50 mix but if you are looking at the Black Note range to chase clouds with then you are looking at the wrong juice. The Black Note range is all about the flavor and experience, you will really want to savor the flavor from these!

Throat Hit

The throat hit from the Black Note range was outstanding, and it matched each vape juice.

It did vary by juice, with the strongest throat hit experienced on the Adagio and Bravura juices (which I would have expected with them being Havana and Perique blends respectively), and the smoothest blends being Solo (a menthol blend) and Sonata (a Virginia blend)

The throat hit just added to the authentic experience from these e liquids, and I would imagine it would be even stronger with higher nicotine content.

Production Details

The Black Note e juice range sports one of the most refined production processes there is.

A Cold Maceration process is used (cold steeping) for 6-8 weeks to obtain the very best aromas and essences from the tobacco leaves.

Only the very best tobacco cultivars produced by experienced growers make the cut to be used in Black Note e juices, and these are hand selected. No artificial flavorings are added to the juices, it’s all natural aromas derived from the leaves themselves. It’s a long process but it ensures a top quality finished article!Black note E Liquid review

All e-juices present in the Black Note tobacco range are lab tested and certified to be nasty-free. The lab report is there to see online if you want to view it for yourself!

Absolutely stunning, the best tobacco e liquid flavours I have tried. From start to finish this has to be one of the most enjoyable reviews I have ever written, such is the outstanding quality of these juices.

From the presentation right down to the vape itself, Black Note set themselves apart from the rest and the Black Note range is truly deserving of the ‘Premium’ juice tag.

Not to mention the customer service is absolutely second to none from these guys, right down to the personalized note included with your order that really makes you feel like a valued customer.

I’d highly recommend vaping the Black Note range in a flavour RDA such as the Derringer, along with a single coil build in the 0.9-1.4ohm range, with 15-25w max if using a regulated device, to really experience the subtle flavor nuances these juices have to offer.

I really do believe that juices this good, and ones that have been expertly crafted such as Black Note, must be vaped in an RDA as I feel a lot of the complexities of the e juices are lost in a tank atomizer.

With tobacco e juices, especially ones that are produced using natural extraction methods, you tend to get a lot of gunk and buildup on your coils but not so here. These juices seemed far cleaner than any other tobacco I have vaped.

Black Note is a truly groundbreaking line of juices and something you really do have to experience, if you are a tobacco fan these juices absolutely must be at the top of your to try list if you haven’t experienced them already! If you aren’t a tobacco fan, I would still recommend these, as the taste is truly out of this world.

Vaping full time since 2012, started on cigalikes for a while then curiosity got the better of me and I moved onto an vape pens, a month or two later I was seeing people walking around with these interesting shiny tubes and I thought 'I gotta get one of those'. Before I knew it a trip down to my local B&M got me my first VW mod, an Innokin SVD, paired with an iClear 30, and I was hooked. Soon after that I was jumping to VW mods both box and tube shaped, before I then made the jump to rebuilding and thus sub ohming, with my first RDA and mech mod. These days I've come back to convenience and mainly use pods, disposables and the VOOPOO Drag H40. Most importantly I am still loving vaping!

black-note-e-liquid-reviewThe Black Note vape range is in one word, impressive. If you have been searching for that tobacco replacement vape then this is the one. It's not cheap, that's for sure. But when you learn about the process to which the e liquids are made and the quality you can see that this is not your average manufactured e-liquid.

  1. Hello
I’m in need of professional vaping advice, for all i want to use is Black Note, so, maybe from the author, Ratamahatta https://www.ecigclick.co.uk/, or anyone else who really uses Black Note?

I’m trying to switch to vaping, and have had pretty terrible physical, and mental, problems with other well-known brands of vape juice.

Then I discovered Black Note, and have done my full research.

And it seems that your products should be suitable.

    So, I’ve bought:

    Legato 12mg

    Forte 12mg

    Prelude 12mg

    House 9mg

But I cannot get hold of Virginia, in the UK?

And I really need, Professional Vaping advice.

I have the following types of vape kit:

    Aspire Nautilus GT

    Aspire Zelos 3

    Innokin T1811

    Innokin Klypse (fixed coil Pod)

And I use the proper branded coils for each, Aspire 1.8Ω, Innokin 1.7Ω.

    So, my questions are:

1/ What is the most appropriate wattage?

(As I don’t want great throat hits, massive clouds, a burnt mouth/tongue, or Vaper’s tongue)

2/ Is Black Note House, as pure as the others I’ve listed?

3/ Is there anything else which you would recommend, in order to get the maximum pleasure out of switching to vaping?

(as I’ve only ever smoked Benson & Hedges Gold, for years)

Please, I really need Professional Vaping help?

    For example, I’m using:

Aspire Nautilus GT kit, using 1.8 coil, at 10.5 w, seems acceptable with the Black Note House 9mg.

Aspire Zelos 3 kit, using 1.8 could, at 9 w, seems just about acceptable with the Black Note Prelude 12mg.

But the best, is the Innokin T1811, with 1.7 coil, at 10.5 w, using the Black Note House 9mg.

Does all this sound right to everyone?

Or am I just getting it wildly wrong?

Very best wishes and all stay safe

    Keith

    • Hey Keith,

Looks like hardware wise you have a great selection. Black Note is also a great choice for getting as near as you can to a real tobacco flavour from an e-liquid. Helps that they are a N.E.T.

The branding is different for the UK market as you have likely seen. Black Note in the US used to be the Preludes/Legato etc but now they just use the names of the tobacco blends instead. From what I understand they are still the same e-liquids so the the Virginia blend is under the name of Prelude which you have already.

I’m no expert on Black Note though so any questions regarding this I’d contact Vapour.UK. They are the official distributers of Black Note in the UK and should be able to help advise further on that.

I’ll do my best to answer what I can for the rest:

      1) Wattage is really dependent on what type of vape you like and is different for most. Best thing to do is simply start low on the wattage and increase incrementally (if your device allows) until you find a setting that you like. I still do this with all devices I try (and e-liquid). Even if you fall outside of the recommended wattage for the coil (under/over) it doesn’t matter so much.

      2) The V range has exactly the same process as the Black Note main range, so yes, just as good. You can check out what Neil thought of this range and he loved his tobacco vapes: https://www.ecigclick.co.uk/black-note-v-e-liquid-review/

      3) Sounds like you have more than enough to get yourself started and to stay vaping. I’d just say to stick with it, make sure you have back up coils and change them when flavour diminishes.

If you are finding the flavour from the T18II is the doing the job, then you can also use this tank on the Zelos mod. The mod just gives you a little more in terms of options to ‘fine tune’ the wattage against the fixed wattage setting on the T18 device.

And.. I’m sure you have tried the other flavours in the T18 but if not, it’s worth seeing if they also give you the better results.

If the T18 comes out on top with the other flavours then it’s always an option to dedicate a tank to each flavour. Only really necessary though if you like to vape different tobacco flavours before a tank is empty.

Finally, there is no right or wrong, if it works for you that’s all that matters. Sounds like you are doing things right to me Keith.

Good luck and keep us updated with how you are getting on!

      • Thanks so much Jonny for getting back to me so quickly.

I really appreciate what you have written.

And I’ll try to persist, as I want to get rid of the terrible sticks.

And I chose Black Note, for the purity, naturalness, compared to other vape juice brands.

As my Stroke Consultant, and Neurological Consultant, have both said that it was probably the non-purity of what I was trying (the added chemicals, artificial flavours, etc.) that were giving me so many problems.

What is interesting though, is the difference between the major brands, in terms of coils, Aspire to Innokin, for flavour, smoothness, enjoyment.

As I sometimes find that the Aspire coils (1.8ohm) can be a little harsh, compared to the Innokin (1.7ohm).

If only it was a easy as buying a packet of sticks!

So, I thank you for taking the time to reply, very much indeed.

On the Innokin front, any other devices that you might suggest?

And any idea where you might get flattened mouthpieces from?

As I got also, a UK ECIG STORE The One Kit – Starter Kit Bundle, which contains a flattened mouthpiece, and the draw, and hole size, being smaller than the standard, actually gives a superb vape experience.

So, I was after some spares, to fit on the Aspire tanks, but the don’t do the as spares.

Thank you once again, really appreciate.

        Stay safe

        Keith

        • No problem. For a lot of people that made the switch (and stayed switch) it isn’t a case of the first thing you try get’s you straight of the cigs. Just gradually reduce the cigs if you are still smoking, if you smoke 20 a day then just try and replace 10 at first with vaping and then just keep on cutting down at your own pace. Don’t feel the need to go full on cold turkey.

The One Kit is an Innokin T18, just rebranded. Not sure on the mouthpiece but most tanks have whats called a 510 fit. So you can do a search for 510 mouthpiece on google and you should get a lot of options.

As for other Innokin gear.. You can check out reviews here: https://www.ecigclick.co.uk/category/innokin/ – Anything that you have questions on you can leave a comment on the specific review.

  2. Just tried black note. It does have an after taste of a cig but because i’ve been smoking sweeter flavors i’m note sure i like it. I would only recommend it to people who quit smoking and want something that taste like a cig. People who are already vaping and want to get away from cigs i wouldn’t recommend it because it might get you back into a smoking habit. Plus, it’s an expensive liquid.5/5 For taste of tabacco
    1/5 For price

  3. i wanna try it, i smoke a natural tobaco and wanna change to vape, still looking for liquid, i dont really like strong fruit flavour, i read the review and pretty interested in natural flavour

  4. These sounds really interesting. I’ve tried about 10 tobacco flavours and all have tasted like ashtrays. Think I’m gonna have to give these a go!

  5. I have yet to try any of the Black Note liquids would love to try them all. Unfortunately they discontinued Adagio, Bravura and Cadenza before I got to try them.

  6. After smoking for 26 yrs and quitting through vaping, tasting tobacco is not really for me if I am being honest but out of the flavours available Solo would be my choice.

  7. I would like to try the Adagio. To see how close to a cigar it really is. Because as you know getting it to taste like a cigar is hard to do and I really don’t think anyone has done it yet either. So I would love to try this to see if they have done it.

  8. I’d love to try these! I’ve hated every tobacco ejuice I’ve tried, but I’ve heard these are awesome. It’s good to knows theses finally a good tobacco ejuice out there!

  9. These all sound amazing, especially Encore and Adagio. I love the professional and classy design they are going for too. Sounds like some top-notch e-liquids. It looks like Encore isn’t included in either Notebook package though, so that kinda sucks.

  10. I find tobacco e-fluid to be somewhat of a hit and miss. Some have way to much of a perfume kinda taste whereas other seem to taste a bit burnt. Fortunately local shop sells a home made fluid that is my go to vape. I would however like to try the black note fluids as I’ve heard good things about them.

  11. I wish this was out when I first started vaping. It was a process finding great tobacco flavors, they seem to go all out in flavor area.

  12. Interesting liquids with a variety of tobacco flavours! I would like to try the SONATA because I like the sweet one, but I would like to try the CADENZA because of its Greek origin!

  13. The only negative, is the names of the juices don’t describe the flavour at all. You have to read all the descriptions.

  14. I’ve tried several of the Black Note liquids and found them all to be exceptional recreations of the various tobacco flavors. They do hit a bit on the strong side but it’s not overwhelming, IMO. Highly suggested for those who are open to tobacco-style flavors

  15. Great review! I have yet to try any of the Black Note liquids,I have had zero luck finding a true tasting tobacco liquid…I hope I get lucky on this giveaway☺

  16. This is a fantastic review. I have been wanting to try Black Note for a long time now, I really love tobacco liquids and this seems to be top of the line! Thanks for the review!

  17. Everything sounds very good to me I love tobacco flavor evening with a glass beer would like to try also times
Thx for the nice Review VAPE ON!!!

  18. This has peaked my interest because of the Latakia flavor. I smoked a pipe for a number of years and would use Latakia from time to time. It is a very pungent tobacco and it would be interesting to see how well they replicated it. Worth a try! Thanks for a nice review!

  19. Black Note Naturally Extracted Tobacco Juice are very good liquids for people that just started vaping but also for more experience vapers like me , I won’t usually vape Tobacco e-liquids but I like a lot Black Note Adagio.
