UK-based Crystal Clear Juice are a relative newcomer to the vaping market and today we are reviewing their Crystal Clear Bar Salts range.
Although the brand itself might be new to the market, they are backed by a team of seasoned vapers that have been in the vaping industry for over a decade now.
We have reviewed some of their products before, our Shell enjoyed the Crystal Clear Bar e-liquid.
Offering a commitment to sustainability, Crystal Clear Bar Salts were developed to offer an alternative to disposable vapes. The brains behind the Crystal Clear brand became tired of the environmental impact that disposable vapes have.
They even claim that you’ll get around 4000 puffs per bottle, compared to the 600 odd you get from a disposable, for less than the price of the average disposable vape!
Crystal Clear is developed in the UK, using only premium ingredients and their e-liquid is fully TPD compliant.
What Can We Expect From The Crystal Clear Bar Salts Range?
Crystal Clear offer a large range of 25 different e-liquids that are based on the most popular disposable vape flavours available. But rather than a throwaway disposable these are 10ml bottles of e-liquid for use in a refillable pod kit or tank. Meaning that you will get far more out of them than a throwaway disposable vape.
Better for the environment and better for your wallet too!
The whole range is mixed using a 50/50 VG/PG ratio, available in 10mg and 20mg nicotine salt strengths.
Using nicotine salt instead of traditional freebase nicotine means that you can enjoy a strong and quick nicotine hit. The nicotine is absorbed faster in the bloodstream, with a smooth throat hit. This means they are ideal for use in a refillable pod kit!
In today’s review, we will be having a look at five liquids from the Crystal Clear range, which have been handpicked and sent over by Vape Club. Many thanks to Vape Club for sending these over for review!
As with any e-liquid, taste is subjective and in my review I will write up my own thoughts on my experiences with each e-liquid. Your experience may differ, as people have differing palates, preferences on taste and different vaping set ups which can offer a totally different flavour experience.
As these are designed for use in a pod system, I have been vaping these in my Vaporesso XROS Pro with a 0.4ohm pod at 25-30W and in my Uwell Caliburn GK3 with a 0.6ohm pod at 20-25W.
Let’s have a look at what this selection of Crystal Clear Bar Salts has to offer!

Summer Dream
They say
This nic salt blend weaves together the flavours of Pineapple, Watermelon, Passionfruit, Orange and Mango, creating a tropical symphony in every puff.
We say
There’s a lot going on with this e-liquid!
The smell of it reminds me of a tropical juice drink and the taste isn’t that far off either.
When I’m vaping this at 25+ watts, there’s quite the tropical party going on in my mouth!
But the flavours do all seem to blend into one and it can be hard to pick out the individual flavour notes.
Dropping the wattage down and switching over to the 0.9ohm pod in the Uwell Caliburn GK3 for a mouth-to-lung (MTL) vape seems to bring more of the individual flavours out to the fore.
The only ones I can’t seem to pick up on are the Orange and Watermelon notes, but I can definitely taste the rest.
It’s a pleasing and enjoyable exotic little vape, I really enjoyed it!
Fresh Mint
They say
A revitalizing experience with the crisp coolness of freshly picked mint leaves.
We say
Now this smells like actual mint leaves, it’s the first thing I noticed when taking the bottle out of the wrapper!
Rather than being a minty menthol juice, Fresh Mint tastes just like the name…straight up fresh mint!
There’s a small cooling sensation here but it isn’t an in-your-face wallop of koolada or menthol.
It seems like Crystal Clear have aimed to replicate the taste of actual mint and they have hit the spot with this one. It is crisp and definitely refreshing for my palate!
Strawberry Ice Cream
They say
Enjoy the juicy flavour of ripe Strawberries with the smooth, rich taste of Vanilla Ice Cream.
We say
This was absolutely my favourite out of the five Crystal Clear e-liquids that I was sent!
There’s the taste of sweet, authentic ripe Strawberry nestled on a delicious creamy cloud of Vanilla Ice Cream flavouring. It’s incredibly moreish and the blend is spot on too.
It really does give the mouth feel of Strawberry Ice Cream itself. Which is one of my favourite flavours to vape.
I couldn’t get enough of this, it’s the best Strawberry Ice Cream e-liquid that I have tried over the past year and one of my favourites of all time. And I have tried quite a few over the years…
Absolutely wonderful!
Blueberry Cherry Cranberry
They say
Enjoy the mouthwatering fusion of sweet Blueberries, tart Cherries and tangy Cranberries.
We say
Well there is a very sweet smell coming out of the box once I opened this!
Despite the sweet smell, I actually found this quite tart overall, which probably isn’t a surprise considering as Blueberry, Cranberry and Cherry tend to be pretty tart fruits.
I can pick out and identify the Blueberry, Cranberry and Cherry flavours, with the Blueberry being the most dominant and the Cranberry and Cherry providing undertones.
There’s nothing terribly wrong with it, it is just a flavour combination that I can either take or leave to be honest.
Banana Ice
They say
Ripe Bananas with a refreshing ice-cold finish.
We say
Upon opening the packet and taking the bottle of Banana Ice out, I was hit by the
unmistakeable smell of Foam Banana Sweet. Which is actually quite off-putting for me!
Now I’m not so sure on the description of ‘ripe Bananas with a refreshing ice-cold finish’ here.
The ice cold finish is definitely there, there’s absolutely no mistaking that and it provides a nice cooling nip in my mouth. The Banana flavouring tasted quite artificial to me and not like a ripe banana.
Like the smell, it was more like a Foam Banana Sweet and I got this when vaping it in both the Vaporesso XROS Pro and the Uwell Caliburn GK3. I quite like the taste of actual Banana in an e-liquid, but I really can’t stand an artificial Banana taste, so this one wasn’t for me!
Final Review Verdict
Banana Ice aside, I got on pretty well with this selection of e-liquids from Crystal Clear.
The flavour descriptions are pretty spot on to the experience that you will get from them. For the most part, they deliver authentic tasting flavour and a nice smooth vape too.
I found that they are definitely more suited to pod systems at lower power ranges and provided the best flavour experiences when vaped mouth-to-lung. Lower power and a tighter draw is definitely the way forward with these!
Strawberry Ice Cream was a particular highlight for me and my pick of the bunch from this selection.
If, like me, you love a good Strawberry Ice Cream e-liquid then you can’t go wrong at all with this one from Crystal Clear!
If you use disposable vapes then I can definitely recommend grabbing yourself a pod system and some of these e-liquids, you’ll get a better flavour experience and more for your money over time as well!
