Next up for a juice review is the IVG 50:50 e-liquid range designed for low power tanks and newcomers to vaping.

IVG is a UK based multi-award winning juice company that sells in over 60 countries.

ivg 50-50 e-liquid review

The company was voted UK E-liquid Best Brand in our own EcigClick Vape Awards 2019 – so plenty of people love their products.

I’ve reviewed their complete short fill range and most recently the IVG nic salt line – finding the first very tasty and the second shall I say ‘reasonable’.

There’s 23 flavours in the IVG 50:50 PG/VG e-liquid line and they’ve so far sent x4 – possibly more to follow as they seemed to have doubled up on samples, rather than sending the lot!

There’s also a choice of nicotine strengths and the flavours ranging from fruits – candy – desserts and tobacco, so something for every vaper’s taste.

What Can We Expect From the IVG 50:50 E-liquid Range?

Flavour – simple as that!

Given this is a 50/50 blend I won’t be expecting too much vapour either.

This is an e-liquid range perfect for pod mods / kits and MTL devices and not really suited to sub ohm / DTL vaping or higher wattage mods.

I’ve received x4 flavours two candy and two fruit – free of charge direct from IVG for the purpose of this review – thank you.

Please remember taste is subjective and I have quite a discerning palate lol.

OK on with the review and for the record I used the GeekVape Ammit MTL RDA freshly wicked every time vaping on a 1.0ohm coil at between 17 and 21w.

IVG 50:50 E-liquid – Bubblegum

IVG 50 50 Bubblegum review

IVG Say:

That amazing bubblegum taste, which will bring your childhood memories back with a refreshing exhale.

I Say:

Smells exactly like it should with maybe a hint of fruitiness as a back note.

I was expecting a much sweeter inhale if I’m honest and if anything it’s a little dare I say tame.

Tame in a good way – lol – and I refer you back to my IVG nic salt review, as in slightly muted but in a good way.

That might seem a bit strange, but new vapers might not like flavours that are too over-powering.

Sure you have the bubblegum, but the first hit is like one you’ve chewed on for a couple of hours.

The exhale is where the magic happens tricking your brain into wanting to chew.

Again the flavour is not as intense as you’d expect – making it a pretty good all day vape.

On the fence with this one…

IVG 50:50 E-liquid – Rainbow Blast

Rainbow-Blast ivg 50-50 e-liquid review

IVG Say:

Inspired by your favourite sweets that will give you an amazing sour taste of mixed fruit candy.

I Say:

A very citrusy aroma with the top off and not at all what I was expecting.

And again the inhale was nowhere near what my nose was telling me to taste!

Another very low key flavour – not unpleasant – just one I can’t quite put my finger on…

Fruitish is the best I can come up with and yet again nowhere near what I was expecting – getting a bit repetitive here lol.

Pity this one didn’t didn’t taste as well as it smells…and maybe a tad more sweetener and more sour might lift it.

IVG 50:50 E-liquid – Neon Lime

Neon-Lime IVG 50 50 e-liquid review

IVG Say:

Lemon and lime sherbet with a refreshing exhale.

I Say:

Another flavour that should be bang on my flavour profile.

And the word here is should

More lime than lemon from the smell and its the same on the initial inhale.

I found my taste-buds searching for more of a citrus whack, there is one just not punchy enough for my tired old taste buds maybe?

Again it was a very low key vape, and even the merest hint of a sherbet fizz didn’t lift this one to where it should be.

Lemon and lime should be zesty and that sherbet should almost make you shudder before the sweetness kicks in…so close…

Dial up the flavours a tad more and this would be and almost perfect juice.

IVG 50:50 E-liquid – Kiwi Lemon Kool

Kiwi-Lemon-Kool ivg 50-50 e-liquid review

Fresh Kiwi blended with a hint of lemon.

I Say:

Another one that sounds bang on my flavour profile.

This time its a real switcheroo going on with barely any fruity smell from the bottle.

However, the inhale is a real surprise with a real smash of citrus – very nice indeed.

The kiwi is strong and lifted by that tangy lemon just as the vapour hits your tonsils.

A strong fruity tangy exhale too with just the right amount of sweetness.

This flavour feels like it’s made by a different mixer with a touch more concentrate.

Best of the bunch by far.

Final Review Verdict

It’s all a bit déjà vu with this juice review…

The IVG nic salts were the same as flavour profiles go – a little shall we say subdued.

That’s not actually a bad thing especially as the 50:50 range are meant for MTL devices and therefore the majority of new vapers.

I’ve known a lot of newbies that find overpowering flavours a bit too much in the early days.

It’s a bit of a shock to the system going from lit tobacco to over sweetened fruit and desserts.

Plus I’ve banged on enough about too sweet and over-powering flavoured e-liquids that very quickly become sickly.

It’s a balancing act for sure, and I just feel they need to dial the flavours up a little – not much – just a little.

BTW – for a 50:50 VG/PG blend it’s a lot thicker than I’m used to but wicked very well and didn’t run all over the place.

Decent vapour too if that’s your thing.

So…ideal for newbies and those who prefer less in your face flavours.
