Today I’ve been given the opportunity to look at the Tobacco Monster range of E-liquids.
Monster Vape Labs (MVL) were established in 2016, Orlando USA. Since inception they’ve set out to make the highest quality E-liquid through the use of some of the cleanest, most technically advanced manufacturing facilities in the world.
It would appear they’ve succeeded.
They’re the itch competitors can’t seem to scratch.
You name it and Monster Vape Labs will have a flavour range for it. Custard, frozen fruit, fruit, ice, Jam, Lemonade, Milk or Tobacco are all up to vape under the Monster Umbrella.
The Tobacco range should be even more interesting since MVL switched to non Tobacco derived nicotine in their products from 2021 onwards.
In my humble opinion, Salt nicotine is the best way to wean a smoker off the dreaded cigs.
What Can We Expect From the MVL Tobacco Monster Range?
I would expect these to be topping the list of potential flavours for any budding vaper coming off the cigs.
That’s because not only should the flavours taste familiar, they contain Salt nicotine. Known for smooth inhalation qualities and fast absorption into the blood stream.
It seems they’re only available in a 20mg strength but that’s a great place to start if you’re new to vaping. Especially if you’ve been a frequent smoker.
There are actually four flavours in the range to pick from. Unfortunately I wasn’t sent Tobacco Monster Rich but we’ll give the other three a good old toot or three.
All are available in 10ml bottles with a 50VG/50PG juice ratio.
This makes them ideal candidates for lower powered MTL (Mouth To Lung) devices such as vape pens, Pod kits or starter kits.
120ml short fill bottles are also available with enough space for two 10ml nicotine shots of choice.
With a juice ratio of 75VG/25PG these will be perfect for cloud chucking sub ohm tanks and external battery powered pod kits.

Tobacco Monster Bold

I Say:
The savoury notes are the first thing I pick out with each exhale. They’re very finely balanced with Vanilla running as the underlying theme to this vape.
I’m not quite sure I’d class this as a particularly bold Tobacco flavour but the complexity is certainly there.
There’s plenty of woody, musky, back notes but without any richness. It’s like a mild form of Virginian Tobacco with much less sweetness.
That sweetness is pretty much confined to the last few seconds of exhale but does wrap up what is a decent enough blend.
Tobacco vaped can often be described as dry but that’s not the case with this one. It’s quite a mild tasting vape with a hint of Hazelnut.
The flavour remains consistent throughout and the inhale is silky smooth.
Tobacco Monster Menthol

I Say:
A perfect blend.
The minty, Menthol properties work extremely well with the Tobacco. It’s a fifty-fifty split.
As a direct consequence it’s a much tastier blend. The sweetness generated by the Menthol is much more prominent here.
It leaves a lasting impression on the taste buds without ruining any of the complexities of the blended Tobacco.
I would have to suggest this is the same kind of experience you’d expect from a Menthol cigarette.
It’s been almost a decade since I tried one but the musky, ash like exhale feels incredibly authentic.
There’s a richness and freshness that I simply can’t resist returning to.
Tobacco Monster Smooth

I say:
Oh yes!
Quite how MVL have been able to create such an authentic tasting cream is anyone’s guess.
It’s present from the word go and stamps its mark all the way through the exhale. There’s nothing stale about it. It’s just like a full cream with rich, diary properties.
The smoky notes sit beneath, quite noticeable on the inhale this time.
I’d say the blend is more in keeping with a rough tasting Cigar but without the dryness. That’s neutralised by sweeter elements filtering through.
All I know is this is one hell of a tasty vape.
I’m not familiar with Spanish Cream but the way MVL have blended it seamlessly with Tobacco notes is quite, quite special.
Final Review Verdict
Bold Tobacco delivers a fair interpretation but I’m not entirely convinced there’s enough flavour for someone coming directly off Tailor made cigs. It’s similar to a hand rolled cigarette, possibly mimicking a mild Amber Leaf tobacco.
Menthol Tobacco is absolutely on the money, with both Menthol and Tobacco notes spilling out in equal measure throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this one to any ex Menthol cig smoker. As authentic as I’ve tasted, personally.
As for Smooth Tobacco?
It’s the perfect introduction to vape flavours for an ex smoker. The reason is twofold.
Firstly and quite obviously is the finely balanced Tobacco blend. Then there’s Spanish Cream. If that doesn’t get them hooked on the wonders of E-liquid flavours I’m not sure what will!
MVL have done an amazing job with these. Three cleverly crafted flavours, each with their own distinct qualities.
