Introduction: MYUZ SS5 by MyVapors
One of the best looking mods I’ve had my hands on this year, the MyVapors Myuz SS5 Kit sure is easy on the eye.
Designed by MyVapors in California, this kit features two stunning resin panels, a max output of 220w and a big bright HD colour screen.
Yeah, ok… it does look a little bit like a Voopoo Drag mod but with so many similar mods on the market, it’s hard for any device not to look like something else!
The kit also comes with the Myuz SS5 tank and it’s two new SS5-N and SS5-M mesh coils and can hold a respectable 6.5ml of e-liquid (outside of TPD countries of course)!
The Myuz SS5 Kit is said to be designed to look like “gas planet Jupiter” but will it be out of this world or will I leave it floating out in space? Let’s find out!
The MyVapors Myuz SS5 Kit was sent to me for the purposes of this review (Thank You!) but as always, any and all opinions expressed are that of my own formed through thorough testing.

Design and Build Quality
Myuz SS5 Tank
The Myuz SS5 tank is a high wattage sub-ohm tank that comes with two coil options.
It features a handy sliding top fill system and super smooth adjustable airflow.
Build quality and design are absolutely fantastic. All the threads are buttery smooth and the o-ring tolerances are spot on.
The tank also comes with a glittery black drip tip, although the drip tip does sit on top of a raised port, I’m not really sure why.
The adjustable, triple cyclone airflow can be a little loud but you are able to change it up to suit your own vaping style very easily.
Myuz SS5 Mod
The Myuz SS5 Mod is made of aluminium and resin and is super lightweight.
Although quite angular, it sits comfortably in the hand and the fire button is easy to press when using both hands. Fire button and adjustment buttons are super clicky which I love.
The USB charge port is located directly underneath the adjustment buttons.
The HD TFT screen, although small, is bright and clear and laid out well. All of the information is easy to see and there are dual battery indicators.
As the Myuz SS5 is a dual 18650 battery mod the device will fire up to 220w in variable wattage mode and 315C in temperature mode.
The battery sled is clean and tight fighting with a ribbon to aid with battery removal. The battery door fits beautifully and is held by two nice strong magnets which hold it on effectively but don’t make it too difficult to remove.
The 510 connection is well machined with a gold plated pin that is spring loaded.
I’m not overly keen on the fact that Myuz is written on the mod 3 times but luckily that gorgeous resin on the front and back panels takes all of the focus. I received the Planet Blue version and have to say the colours are absolutely stunning. There’s a sort of pearlescent finish to the resin and it’s definitely eye-catching.
Overall design and build quality are spot on and I’ve been really impressed.
Mod Operation Basics
- 5 x clicks turns the mod off and on
- 3 x clicks takes you into the menu settings – Mode, Set and Info
- Mode has the option of Variable Wattage, Temperature Control and TCR Mode
How does the MyVapors Myuz SS5 Kit Perform?
For this review I was mostly using the S5-M 0.15ohm coil with Ice Mental Malon from The Vapours Dozen 70/30 VG/PG 3mg.
S5-M Mesh Coil (0.15Ohm) – Rated 50-100W
The S5-M Mesh coil is rated to vape best between 50-100w. I started it out at 50w and found the vape quality pretty unsatisfying and cold but pretty good flavour. As I slowly made my way up in 10w increments I was pleased to find the flavour and vapour production continued to increase until at 100w where I found it performed best.
This coil worked beautifully for a full 7 days with only a slight discolouration of the cotton. But for the purposes of this review I swapped it out and gave the S5-N Coil a go too.
S5-N Mesh Coil (0.2Ohm) – Rated 40-90W
The S5-N Mesh coil is rated to vape best between 40-90w and is 0.2 ohm.
With a slightly different mesh design, I found that although it performed well, I wasn’t as impressed with this one as I had been by the S5-M. It still produced good flavour and vapour but certainly not as full and saturated as the previous coil.
Probably just personal preference but I found I did have to close down the airflow a bit to get even close to the vape experience I’d had for the last week.
Flavour and Clouds from the Myuz SS5 Tank
I have been really, really impressed by the flavour from this tank.
Even with wide open airflow, I get a thick, full and flavourful vape. Closing the airflow down a bit just makes it even better.
For someone who’s not normally a fan of stock coil tanks, this one stayed on the mod and I found myself constantly picking it up as I was enjoying it so much.
Vapour production is also fantastic and is certainly comparable to any other mesh stock coil tank on the market.
Now, I don’t normally use Temperature Control on any of my mods but I was curious to see what kind of vape quality I would get from this little mod.
I popped some 0.15 ohm Stainless Steel Fused Clapton coils into my Geekvape Loop 1.5 RDA and gave it a bash. After some fiddling around, I did manage to get a nice and warm vape. It also tailed off as my coils got dry and I needed to re-drip.
As I said, I’m by no means a temp control vaper but it certainly seemed to do the job. I’ll stick to variable wattage mode though.
- Good Build Quality
- Gorgeous Resin Panels
- Great Flavour
- Good Coil Life
- Decent Battery Life
- Easy to Read Display
- Easy To Navigate Menu System
- Slightly Angular Feel in the Hand
- Little Bit of Over-branding
The MyVapors Myuz SS5 Kit is a fantastic, well made and pretty to look at set up. It vapes great and does everything it’s supposed to and does it really well. The menu system is simple to get to grips with and the bright screen shows you all the info you could need.
I’ve tried really hard to come up with some niggly points but I cannot recommend this kit more if you’re looking for a standard dual 18650 stock coil set up!
Even if you’re not a stock coil fan, any 24mm RDA or RTA will look good sat on top of this mod and it won’t have any issue reading even those low ohm coils.
Totally impressed with the Myuz SS5 Kit and can’t recommend it highly enough.
