Today I’m taking a look at the new Orion Bar 7500 disposable vapes.

Please note: This product is not available in the UK as it doesn’t meet TPD regulations. So only available for readers outside TPD regulated countries.

Orion Bar product check imageIf you’re an avid vaper the Lost Vape Orion may spring instantly to mind. For good reason too because this Shenzhen based manufacturer is responsible for today’s review.

The Lost Vape Orion was the first Pod Mod to hit the industry, selling over 10M units worldwide. Its popularity saw them partnering with EVOLV to produce the Orion DNA GO Pod Mod – another first.

So Lost Vape don’t exactly cower away from innovation. Their vision is:

‘To deliver an unprecedented user experience to every customer and let our values shine through all the products’.

Built on 8 years solid foundation, the Orion Bar reflects user oriented designs. For them, limitation doesn’t exist and now have a presence in over 50 countries including North America, Europe and Asia.

What Can We Expect From the Orion Bar 7500 Disposable Vape?

The juice capacity of the Orion Bar series has been gradually creeping up and the number of associated puffs reflects this. It’s gone from 3000 to 6000 puffs in a relatively short period.

For this reason alone they are not available to UK or EU markets (TPD regulated) as the maximum e-liquid capacity permitted is 2ml if it contains nicotine. The zero nicotine option would be available.

The Orion Bar 7500 being available in 0mg, 20mg or 50mg salt nicotine strengths.

First Impressions

So one glance at the disposable shows us that Lost Vape have maintained their tried and tested design of previous devices in the series. Very Box ‘Moddy’ in looks.

But then it needs to be since it’s holding a whopping 18ml of E-liquid.

We literally get complete transparency too as the rechargeable 650mAh integrated battery is on full view. So is the artwork wrapped around the juice container.

Artwork on the Orion Bar 7500Although what it’s supposed to depict is anyone’s guess! lol Answers on a postcard..

The mouthpiece is suitably restricted for a MTL vape but airflow adjustment has been included by way of a slider on the base. This means a RDL (Restrictive Direct lung) vape will also be possible. We tell you what MTL and RDL mean in our Guide To Vape Styles.

Not sure how I feel about RDL vaping 50mg salt nic! lol

You’ll also find the Type C USB port here. So you won’t be charging this bad boy in a vertical position.

Orion Bar 7500 type c USB and adjustable airflowThe Orion Bar 7500 is made from a toughened plastic. Both light weight and pocket friendly it nestles comfortably in the hand. Very ergonomically designed.

I’ve little knowledge as to the coil material used although I’m sure it’s of the mesh variety.

You can pick the disposable up in a variety of flavours ranging from fruit, sweet, mint, ice and even dessert categories.

Orion Bar 7500 specificationsOk. Time to see what the Orion Bar 7500 is capable of in terms of flavour, vapour production and overall battery performance.

Please remember that taste is subjective. My experiences may differ from yours. Just as you might like Cod I may prefer Haddock. You get the picture, hopefully.

Orion Bar 7500 – Banana Cake

Orion Bar 7500 Banana CakeLost Vape Says:

Enjoy a favourite Banana cake whenever and wherever you want. Fried dough that is cake-like and fluffy with a Banana pudding-like smoothness, heavily dusted with sugar.

I Say:

The Menthol on the inhale isn’t too strong but don’t be fooled. Subsequent vapes will see it building and building. So be prepared for a chilly lasting impression on the throat.

The inhale itself is very smooth and tinged with sweetness. Expect more of that during exhale as it combines with an artificial, foam sweet version of Banana.

A creaminess has been applied to the flavour but I don’t recognise any of that fried dough.

Any bakery elements are surely lost to the icy cold blast that’s not even mentioned in the flavour description.

So for this reason, Banana Cake drops considerable points. Would you be impressed by content that’s not even suggested in the flavour title? Probably not..

Bit of a shame, really – The taste is quite pleasant, overall.

Orion Bar 7500 – Lush Ice

Orion Bar 7500 Lush IceLost Vape Says:

A classic Watermelon sweet flavour with a cool menthol air. Your taste buds are invaded by a variety of Melon flavours as you exhale, giving you a smooth, cool, and fruity vaping sensation.

I Say:

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out the main player in Lush Ice. That’s evident as soon as the vacuum sealed bag is torn open.

Its ram packed with sweetener too, being drawn up on the inhale and very prevalent throughout the vape itself. If you’ve a sweet tooth, Lush Ice is one to look out for.

Again, the inhale is incredibly quiet and smooth and the exhale exudes flavour property. The Watermelon, although sweet and succulent is still more on the generic side so Lost Vape have played it safe. It’s no different from the Watermelon found in countless disposables.

The Menthol qualities ensures its status as a refreshing Summer vape and combined with a flavour packed sweetness, will surely appeal to a mainstream audience.

Orion Bar 7500 – Rainbow Drop

Orion Bar 7500 Rainbow DropLost Vape Says:

The flavours of candied Strawberry, green Apple, Lemon, Grape and Orange that you grew up with and have loved for years.

I Say:

There’s a nice fruity aroma with this one but it’s very, very strong as a flavour on the exhale. There’s nothing to suggest this from the inhale though!

Not even much sweetness. Until on the way out. It’s actually too overbearing for my taste buds and it feels like the list of ingredients have all been tightly squeezed into the vape.

The overall taste is very bitter and acrid. I’ve never been a fan.

Orange is the over riding flavour sensation but still struggles among a vape that’s purported to contain four fruits.

Very little of the citrus nature of Lemon pulls through, lost in a mix of sweet and sour.

Combined with the driving force of Menthol, Rainbow Drop is far too much of an invasion of the taste buds for me to enjoy.

Orion Bar 7500 – Sour Apple Ice

Orion Bar Sour Apple IceLost Vape Says:

A mind-blowing combination of tart apples, sweet strawberries, and calming menthol. Your taste buds will be greeted by the flavour of mouth watering, crisp apples as you inhale.

I Say:

This is a mix of bitter, sour and sweetness. These are the attributes you can expect to find as part of the flavour experience of an Apple.

It’s the intensity of the ingredients that tend to overwhelm me, not the taste of the Apple itself.

There’s also an exaggerated level of sweetness and that takes away the realism of a fresh, crisp Apple. Of course the fruit is in there but as you can probably tell by my thoughts is well hidden away.

An what of the Strawberry alluded to?

I’m not getting any of that, unfortunately. It’s only the Apple, wrapped around a very chilling Menthol.

I did find the overall vaping experience quite refreshing. It’s just a shame the main ingredient doesn’t get the full recognition it deserves.

Orion Bar 7500 – Aloe Grape

Orion Bar 7500 Aloe Grape

Lost Vape Says:

This flavour perfectly reflects the sweet and sour taste of aloe and grape.

I Say:

I get a very sweet, candy like aroma from the mouthpiece once the blister bag is opened.

The Menthol kicks in instantly during the inhale and an artificial chemical taste of Grape rushes to the front of the exhale. It’s far too intense for me.

I’m not the biggest fan of Grape vapes so I have to try and look upon this flavour creation from a neutral perspective.

If you like the flavour then expect to be bombarded with a lot of sweetener. It’s present by the vape load. Expect to get ‘sugar lips’ from Aloe Grape.

Some people suggest Aloe is akin to the taste of battery acid. I’ve personally never attempted to drink battery acid and don’t suggest you do either! lol

If grape vapes are you thing you’ll probably enjoy this rather exaggerated take. Aside from a few subtle floral back notes, it does nothing to change my mind.

.. I’m still not the biggest fan of Grape vapes.

Orion Bar 7500 – Cool Mint

Orion Bar 7500 Cool MintLost Vape Says:

A pleasant and energizing combination of intensely frosty mint and extra-cold flavours is perfect for anyone who enjoys mint and menthol.

I Say:

This one wouldn’t quite work without that icy cold blast on the inhale. It sets up what’s a very refreshing and lively vaping experience.

The cooling Menthol builds on the inhale and thumps the back of the throat at the moment of exhale. Cue the fresh Spearmint that invades the taste buds.

The levels of sweetener aren’t too intense either because there’s something of a much drier quality to this vape.

The overall flavour holds up well too throughout and afterwards. A very smooth, clean taste and one that will undoubtedly act as an effective palate cleanser should you be suffering from ‘vapers tongue’.

I’m digging this one.

.. It’s probably the ideal tonic for a hangover. Not sure about the 50mg salt nic though!

Orion Bar 7500 – Strawberry Kiwi

Orion Bar 7500 Strawberry KiwiLost Vape Says:

Fresh strawberries that are deliciously sweet and kiwis that are divinely juicy and explode with green brilliance.

I Say:

A very pleasant vape. The Strawberry, although not quite natural tasting is still quite tasty.

Yet it’s not a sweets style version either. It has a little more richness and depth than a candy inspired vape so I couldn’t really put this in the same vape category.

For me at least, it contains a smooth, creamy edge that separates it from a lot of Strawberry vapes on the market. So for this I give Lost Vape full credit.

It’s still a bit top heavy on the sweetener but on this occasion works better with the fruit.

The richness I mention may well be due to the Banana like qualities of Kiwi. That’s as much of the secondary fruit I pick up here.

Expect the usual icy, cold inhale and as common with disposables, quite a throat cutting affair. However it doesn’t distract from that pleasant Berry taste.

Orion Bar 7500 – Blueberry Raspberry

Orion 7500 Blueberry RaspberryLost Vape Says:

A tasty mixture that resembles the traditional blue raspberry mix. With a mouth watering coating of luscious blue raspberry, this flavour will overpower your senses and fill your lungs.

I Say:

50mg of nicotine salt is enough to overpower anyone’s senses! lol

I was dreading the experience of this one given my experiences in the past with this flavour mix. Lost Vape have allayed my fears and created a vape that’s not only tolerable but actually quite vape-able.

It’s not mega heavy on sweetness either and not as noticeable on the inhale as I was expecting.

I also have to say that the blending is pretty good too. I get the acidic sweetness of the Raspberry on the inhale smoothed out by the subtle floral tones of Blueberry on the way out.

At the end of the vape I’m left with just a hint of sugar on the lips.

However, we’re not talking natural, authentic blending because there’s more flavour intensity – expected for a disposable, really.

The Menthol works well in Blueberry Raspberry and helps to keep the vape lively and refreshing.

Orion Bar 7500 – Pineapple Lemonade

Orion 7500 Pineapple LemonadeLost Vape Says:

A disposable that blends the exquisite flavours of sweet lemonade and juicy pineapple.

I Say:

Lemon dominates the aroma once the disposable is ripped from it’s sealed baggie.

Indeed it continues to do so with the exhale. But a more exotic, tropical taste is created by the inclusion of Pineapple. You’re not getting any of the fizz that might be associated with Lemonade. The Pineapple is clearly taking its place.

I’m quite impressed with how Lost Vape have put this one together. You get the freshness of the Lemonade coupled with the musky, tangy notes of the spiky fruit.

In other words you get the best of both worlds. That’s not something I often say about disposable blending and the Pineapple is relatively natural tasting.

Sweetness runs rampant throughout the exhale, backed up by a strong (slightly over powering) Menthol that lingers long after the vape has expired.

I could quite easily vape all 18ml of this one.

Battery Performance and Number of Puffs

Now for some interesting facts.

I managed a whopping 13 hours use from the factory charge. Using my personalised vaping calculator that equates to over 900 puffs.

Consequent charges delivered the same results. Of course the e-liquid is going to run dry at some point but expect to recharge up to five times before this happens.

I’m not so sure 7,500 puffs are going to be possible. A realistic figure would be between 6,000 – 6,500. So consider a total of 75 hours continuous use. To the average vaper I think 7-10 days use is feasible. Possibly more.

Fast type C charging isn’t that fast coming in on 90 minutes and there’s no possibility of vaping while plugged into a wall socket.

The Blue LED on the base of the disposable remains solidly lit throughout recharge and switches off when completed.

Final Review verdict

I was impressed by how smooth an exhale I got from the Orion Bar 7500.

Maybe I’m also getting used to 50mg salt nicotine – never thought I’d say that!

You’ll get a comfortable restrictive lung vape with the airflow slider set wide open and vapour production falls somewhere between a mouth to lung vape and a fully fledged sub ohm tank set up. Don’t expect to vape stealthily without the odd look or two.

You know how some folk are!

Flavour properties wain a bit when reducing the slider down but again, a decent MTL vape can be achieved. Vapour production is also curbed so if you’re bursting for a vape at the local bus stop – fill your boots!

The Orion Bar 7500 will provide decent flavour. I found them a little too strong but I’m sure the newer or casual vaper will appreciate what’s on offer here.

orion-bar-7500-disposable-vape-reviewI get a little bit miffed when flavour descriptions don't quite match up. As much as Menthol or Coolada seems the order of the day with disposables, it should be mentioned if included. To assume four flavours from a disposable is also reaching somewhat. Having said that the Orion Bar 7500 does have flavour by the bucket load and the versatility to pull off a MTL or RDL vape. Being rechargeable and carrying this volume of liquid, you can expect 7-10 days use.

  1. I ordered 3 of these. ORION BAR DISPOSABLE | 7500 PUFF | 18ML | 50MG Don’t waist money on these . Taste burn and sizzles after you head it. All three different flavors had to go into the trash disgusting.
