The Smoant Charon Baby + Kit is an update to the Charon Baby Pod kit…
Smoant have a few versions of the Charon range including the Charon 218 TC Mod, Charon 218 TS and the Charon Mini 225W mod.
What To Expect From The Smoant Charon Baby + Kit…
The first thing that struck me about this kit – is that it is bigger than I was expecting – look at the photo below from the Smoant Facebook page…
But when you read the specs the size isn’t really that surprising as this one is packing a 1000mAh battery which is a great size for a pod kit.
Recharging is taken care of using the USB Type C port which you can charge at up to 1A charge rate. Smoant say you can charge this fully in 1 hour.
Output wise this will go up to 35W but it is not user controllable. Basically the “AI Smart ANT-Chip” senses the coil resistance and will adjust the output to suit.
The side panels are magnetic and replaceable and I show the full range of panels available further down in this preview.
An LED indicator is provided to view the battery charge remaining.
The pod has an airflow control lever too which is always welcome on a pod kit!
This uses the Santi S-Coil range which is compatible with the Santi kit.
You get the S-2 mesh 0.6ohm coil included in the kit but you can also purchase the S-1 0.4ohm Mesh or S-3 1.2ohm Mesh too.
The coils are removable and replaceable plus the pod is held into the device magnetically.
You can refill the pod with up to 3ml of your own e-liquid via the side fill port. I have not seen a mention of a 2ml TPD Compliant version as yet.
There are 6 base styles to choose from: Black Hannya, Black Tiger, Gunmetal Lion, Gunmetal Pan, Space Silver Yawata and Space Silver Dragon.
Plus you can customise this with the extra replaceable panels available…

This looks to be a fully featured (not so) little pod kit – it is a bit stingy to only include one coil though!
