We have a new mod from Smoant – the Smoant Ranker.

smoant ranker marketing shotNow come on no rude jokes – it can’t help its name…ooh matron…

Anyway looking at the Ranker anyone else get the Smoant Cylon image in their head?

ranker v cylonNot a surprise really as it shares the same chip as the Cylon and the same styling.

The Ranker is of a more flat design with a slanted screen – which I really am not sure about!

Like the Cylon though the screen is a 1.35in OLED colour screen and looks super clear. You can also customise the background and user interface.

I was initially sceptical about the flat design as one of the benefits of the Cylon was its ability to use larger atomisers. However the specs say the Ranker is 31mm wide, but the tank will be sat on a raised platform so I am not sure what the maximum size tank you can use is?

This mod will output up to 218W and will need 2×18650 batteries which are not included in the kit.

You can customise the control curves to your own preference in Variable Wattage and Temperature control modes.

I am a bit puzzled with this mod – I have to be honest. It is like a flattened version of the Cylon and in my opinion not as pretty or practical.

It seems to want to jump on the same wagon as the Smok Mag kit to me.

Anyway if you can cope with never saying the name wrong this might be the mod for you. Sadly I am still a child and will always laugh when I say the name!

What are your thoughts on this – would you buy the Smoant Ranker?

Giggles….

    • Right I have just downloaded the Ranker user manual – I haven’t tried one of these myself sorry but it says nothing about the Stealth mode does it!
I have just downloaded the Cylon manual too as I think the chip is the same.
However more of the same – I can only suggest either going into the menu by clicking fire 3 times and perhaps selecting “Settings” or having a look on here and see if you have the latest firmware installed.
I know Neil did review the Cylon and will ask him if he found the Stealth mode.
Sorry I am not much more help!
