Stoptober – What Is It All About?
This is the 11th year the campaign has been running and the Gov UK website press release shows a video created to help encourage smokers to quit.
It stars James Jordan (Ex Strictly Come Dancing Professional Dancer), NHS Psychiatrist Dr Max Pemberton and Louise Ross discussing the importance of self confidence and support on the journey.
The Public Health and Mental Health Minister Dr Caroline Johnson said…
We are determined to support people to stub out the habit, so it is fantastic to see the return of Stoptober, equipping smokers with the tools and confidence they need to go smoke free.
If you want to get involved in promoting this campaign you can download posters and other resources from the Public Health England (PHE) website to share on social media. Also use the hashtag #Stoptober to help get the message across.
We will be joining in on our socials so get sharing!
