The Uwell Caliburn A2 Kit is a new addition to the popular range of pod kits.
What Is New For The Uwell Caliburn A2 Kit?
Obviously as there are previous versions of this kit I can’t help but compare to see what has been improved.
The first thing I have noticed is that this version uses disposable refillable pods – just like the original. Looks like they are moving away from the removable coil setup found in the Caliburn G.
There is no mention if the pods are cross compatible with previous models but there only seems to be one variant available – a Kanthal 0.9ohm Meshed-H coil.
Another change is the battery capacity – this is sadly the same as the original Caliburn at 520mAh. The G version had a 690mAh battery. The battery was the only downside to the original version and I do wish the capacity had been increased.
As for output this has a fixed 15W output which is higher than the 11W of the original but lower than the 18W of the “G”.
The pods are refillable by removing the mouthpiece and will hold up to 2ml of your own e-liquid. A larger e-liquid viewing area has been provided to give you an indication of the pod contents.
An LED indicator is provided but it is not specified what this displays.
Activation is either manually from the fire button or automatic from drawing on the mouthpiece.
A USB Type C port is provided which apparently has a fast charging rate (although this is not specified) and will charge the battery from 0-90% in 35 minutes. However there does not appear to be a USB cable included in the kit from what I have seen?
There are 6 colours to choose from: Black, Iris Purple, Orange, Blue, Green and Grey.
- Caliburn A2 mod
- 2x 0.9ohm Meshed-H pods
- User manual
Note – there is no mention of inclusion of a USB cable?
