The Uwell Crown V / 5 Kit consists of the existing Crown V / 5 sub ohm tank and the new Crown 5 Box mod.
The “Crown” branding has been applied to many devices from Uwell including the Crown Pod Kit, Crown 4 Kit, plus the Crown 1, Crown 2 and Crown 3 Sub ohm tanks.

We have already carried out a Uwell Crown 5 tank review and it really is a top performer.
In standard format the tank has a 5ml capacity but this is reduced to 2ml for TPD regulated areas.
Now I am not sure if the coils or tank are compatible with previous Crown versions. There are 3 coils to choose from:
- UN2 0.23ohm Single Kanthal Mesh (65-70W)
- UN2-2 0.3ohm Dual Kanthal Mesh (50-55W)
- UN2-3 0.2ohm Triple Kanthal Mesh (65-70W)
A 90° turn screw off top cap gives access to the fill port which also has a silicone check valve to prevent leaking through the port.
The base of the tank features the adjustable airflow control ring.
Looking now at the Crown 5 mod – this uses 2×18650 batteries which are not included.
A USB Type C charge port is provided for emergency charging but the charge rate is not specified.
The side panel of the mod is removable to access the battery compartment and leather trims add texture and grip.
You can choose from several user modes – Variable Wattage, Temperature Control and TCR.
The output is specified as 5-200W (0.7-8V).
A 0.96in colour TFT screen is provided to view all of your vaping data.
The chip has dust-proof, moisture proof and e-liquid proof protection.
There are 3 colours to choose from: Black, Red and Blue.
