The Geekvape Aegis Boost is a pod mod and the latest in the indestructible line of vape kits bearing the by now legendary name.

I could quite simply copy and paste an introduction to all of the GeekVape Aegis products – the original Aegis – the Aegis Legend – the Aegis Mini – right through to the two I’ve reviewed: the Aegis Solo and the Aegis X.

geekvape aegis boost

UK – Save 20% with Code ECC
USA – Save 10% With Code DNA10

And along the way GeekVape has also taken this line of mods down the squonking route with the Aegis Squonk kit!

It’s fair to say Geekvape has enjoyed success with their ‘indestructible’ yet comfortable mods.

Now and with this sudden surge of what they tend to call ‘Pod Mod’ devices – such as the Smok RPM40 and the VooPoo Vinci, I think it’s only fair to give the Aegis Boost a proper introduction, separate to those that have come before it.

If you’re unfamiliar with what I call a ‘Pod Mod’ let me explain.

Quite simply a pod mod tends to be a device similar in style and size to a normal run of the mill pod system.

However, the difference is in the way it behaves, much closer to a mod and tank combo.

Generally meaning that a pod mod has a higher wattage capacity, which is adjustable.

There’s a larger battery in most cases and most importantly, is capable of delivering a Mouth-To-Lung, and very intense Direct-To-Lung vape similar to that of a usual single, or dual battery mod with a large capacity tank on top.

And of course, the pod itself must be refillable and house a much larger, replaceable coil.

aegis boost pod kit

An AIO kit you say?

Well yes maybe that’s the case with this one, but that certainly wasn’t the case with ‘The Real Pod Mod’ by Smok.

Not being capable of a decent, tight MTL draw doesn’t put the Smok RPM40 in the ‘AIO’ category, and neither does that apply to the VooPoo Vinci.

But on the face of it, the Geekvape Aegis Boost certainly looks like it has the capacity to call itself an AIO Pod-Mod.

What Can We Expect From The Geekvape Aegis Boost?

Similar in style to its predecessors, but definitely in the pod category, the Aegis Boost features a 1500mAh battery, a 3.7ml capacity ‘tank’ which can take replaceable coils.

There is also an option of an RBA deck, which has now been included in this review.

And most importantly, full adjustable airflow by way of the AFC Ring at the front of the pod.

So let’s crack on with the Aegis Boost review and see what this kit is all about…

This kit was sent to me for the purpose of review.

All views and opinions are solely those of my own and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of others.

NOTE: updated to include a review of the GeekVape Boost RBA head.

Design and Build Quality

I received the All Black version of the Aegis Boost, and to put it bluntly, I see no lack in quality when comparing it to any of the other Aegis Mods.

Just because this is a shrunk down variant of a Legend, certainly doesn’t mean they’ve lowered the standards.

In the Hand

The Geevape Aegis Boost is extremely light, even when loaded with 3.7ml of e-liquid.

But it’s also sturdy and well built.

geekvape boost in hand

For a small device, you usually hear, or feel the odd creak or crunch if you give the device a tight squeeze.

Not with the Boost that’s for sure.

With your fingers wrapped around the rubbery sections and leather on the one end, its extremely comfortable to hold and use if you’re a thumb fire kinda person.

thumb fire

Flipping it round for a finger fire and its slightly odd to hold, but still comfortable.

The Pod

The kit only comes with the one Pod.

However, seeing as its got replaceable coils and a refill section at the top, you probably wont be too bothered about this.

My only minor concern would be long term, how will the one pod cope with day to day use?

Separate pods will be available to purchase, should you damage the one included.

In fact, I’m tired of calling this a pod, its a tank.

It holds e-liquid, you can replace the coils and adjust the airflow.

Its a tank…

boost pod

The tank comes with a dust cap that clicks onto the top, protecting the mouthpiece.

It is rather small and flimsy, and there’s nowhere to put it when using the device – so its pretty much pointless for me.

Plus, I’m bound to lose it sooner or later!

boost dust cap

The pod clicks in to the device quite nicely, and un-clips just the same via the PUSH button on the back of the pod.

I have my concerns over the durability of the clip itself as mine has already started to wear.

boost clip damage

So I would like to think GeekVape will find a way to strengthen that clip to allow it to last a lot longer.

boost clip

Drip Tip

At the top of the pod is a proprietary mouthpiece/drip-tip that is bespoke for the Aegis boost, and there are 2 different styles in the kit.

geekvape aegis boost drip tips

One is more of a mouth-piece style, whilst the other is similar to a straight 510 tip.

Both are pretty comfortable, however, I preferred the oval shaped tip.

GeekVape Aegis Boost Airflow Control

At the front end of the pod is a wheel, yeah that’s the best way to describe it.

A little spinning wheel that turns 360 degrees and it allows you to fully adjust your airflow to your preferred.

airflow control

There is a slight restriction to the wheel, so the adjustment you make isn’t going to spin loose easily.

airflow

Fill Port

Just above the spinning wheel is your fill port, protected by a silicon bung which ideally you need nails to remove.

Once removed, the fill hole is large enough for even the big-tipped bottles.

GeekVape Aegis Boost Coil Installation

The Coils that come with the Aegis Boost are push-fit coils, and they’re simple to install at the base of the pod.

However you might want to make use of the coil-removal tool that comes in the kit.

remove coil

Unless you have strong finger nails, it can be quote difficult to remove them.

The two coils that came in my package are 0.30Ω and 0.60Ω and are both push-fit mesh.

The 0.3Ω coil is recommended at 25-33w, whilst the 0.6Ω is recommended to be used at a lower 15-25w.

boost coil

I would hazard a guess that more coils will be released, including a much higher resistance coil which would be ideal for a Mouth-To-Lung vape, especially for using with Nic Salt e-liquids.

Thanks to the fully adjustable airflow, you can still enjoy a MTL vape with either of the provided coils.

How To Fill the Geekvape Aegis Boost Pod

Well firstly you want to make sure you’re in a well lit place because the pod is made from a very dark plastic making it difficult to check your e-liquid level.

Bit annoying at times if I’m honest.

No filling in the dark folks!

    • Lift the silicon Bung at the top of the pod

fill port

  • Fill with your desired e-liquid

  • Re-fit the silicon bung and allow the coil to soak your e-liquid for at least 3 minutes
  • Crack On!

I’d advise priming your coils with a few drops of e-liquid when using them for the first time.

It just helps eliminate the chances of a dry hit, or burning your coil out.

Display Functions

The 0.45in OLED display is extremely simple on the Aegis Boost, but I have been informed there has been some improvement to the display since the samples have been sent out.

aegis boost display

I’m unsure yet how it will compare to the display on the retail, version of the Geekvape Aegis Boost.

On my sample version I can only really adjust the wattage, from 5.00w, up to 40.0w in 0.5w increments, and the level does round-robin using the Up-Down buttons below the fire button.

Here’s what mine displays:

  • Puff Counter
  • Coil resistance
  • Wattage

And that’s it, there is no menu options to worry about but I cant comment on what the retail version will include.

It may be possible there are more options coming with regards to the display and menu so if I get any further information, I’ll be sure to update this review.

The Geekvape Aegis Boost RBA Pod

So If you’ve previously read this review back when it was published in November of last year, you may have noticed at that point, the RBA Pod wasn’t currently available. Fortunately I’ve since been sent the RBA deck, so lets get right to it.

If you’re into rebuildables, or even if you’re not, but you fancy saving yourself a few quid on buying coils, the rebuild-able Aegis Boost RBA may be an option.

From my testing, and also from what I’ve heard, the coils themselves seem to have an excellent life, to the tune of around 6000 puffs!

Nonetheless, the RBA deck gives the user an alternative to pre-made coils.

Inside The Box

  • 1 x Aegis Boost RBA
  • 1 x Drip Tip
  • 1 x Tri-Tool
  • 2 x Cotton Strips
  • 2 x 1.3Ω KA1 Coils
  • 1 x 0.6Ω N80 Fused Clapton Coil

Geekvape Aegis Boost RBA Specs and Features

  • Eliquid Capacity: 2ml
  • Build Deck: Spring Loaded Twin Post
  • Airflow: Adjustable airflow ring
  • Filling: Top-Fill

The Geekvape Aegis Boost Pod

The pod itself works, fills and fits exactly like the normal pod that takes ready made push-fit coils, however with the RBA it almost looks like a miniature RDA has been sunk into the top.

Once the barrel has been unscrewed, you’re presented with a nicely machined deck with 2 posts, meaning this is basically a single coil RBA.

There are also 2 juice ports that lead directly into the pod itself, so you could almost call this an RDTA.

Geekvape Aegis Boost RBA Build Tutorial

For this tutorial, I made use of the larger 0.6Ω N80 Fused Clapton Coil with the idea of getting a Direct To Lung experience out of it, more on that later.

Fitting the Coil

First off, unscrew the two post screws, the clamps below the screws are spring-loaded, and could maybe do with opening up another 2mm or so, but they open up far enough to fit a coil of this size – just about!

Fit your coil in place and ensure you leave a gap between the coil, and the base of the deck to allow air to pull through and over the coil.

Ensure you cut each end of the coil as tight to the deck as possible as this will ensure it doesn’t short out with the barrel when its re-fitted.

Lastly fit the pod onto the Aegis Boost device, check your resistance and pulse the coil at a low wattage to ensure its glowing from the centre out.

If its uneven or showing hot spots, gently scrape the coil with a tool and fire again.

Still no joy? Try pinching the coil together with a set of pin nosed pliers, eventually you’ll get there.

Wicking the Geekvape Aegis Boost RBA

Once you’ve slid a small amount of cotton through the coil, I’ve found wetting the cotton with your desired e-liquid really helps with the fiddly job that comes next.

Fitting the cotton ends down into the pod housing.

The holes that need to be filled with cotton are very small but you also want to ensure you’re not just plugging the holes, but dropping the cotton down into the pod.

Once that’s done, all that is left is to fill the pod if you need to, screw down the barrel and enjoy.

How Does the Geekvape Aegis Boost RBA Perform?

During my time with the Aegis Boost, I’ve enjoyed mixing around the e-liquids I was using.

From 80VG-20PG e-liquids designed for Direct To Lung hits, and I’ve also vaped a tank or two of Nic Salts 50VG-50PG to really push the coils.

tough pod mod

I’m not a fan of swapping flavours on the same coil, but I felt its important these coils are as robust and strong as the device, and the Aegis line itself so I really went to town with them.

GeekVape Aegis Boost Flavour and Clouds

0.4Ω Mesh Coil

The 0.4Ω Mesh coil performs excellently for both flavour, and vapour production.

At 27 watts with the airflow all the way open, the vape is exceptional for such a small device.

GeekVape Aegis Boost 04 coil

Really good!

And even when chain-vaping on the Boost, it keeps up excellently and I’ve had no problems at all.

Geekvape Aegis Boost RBA 0.6Ω Mesh Coil

My experience with the 0.6Ω coil is pretty much the same as the 0.4Ω coil – blooming’ excellent.

There’s really no other way to describe it.

At 20 watts, again with the airflow all the way open, its a lovely vape.

GeekVape Aegis Boost 06 coil

Knock the wattage down to 12-15w, slide the airflow down to a very small amount, and the Mouth-To Lung vape is amazing too.

For both coils, I really cannot stress just how impressed I am, mostly with the flavour.

The vapour production is good, not a huge cloud chucker, but a decent cloud nonetheless.

But the flavour on both coils…Wow!

Geekvape Aegis Boost RBA Deck

0.6Ω Ni80 Fused Clapton Mesh Coil

At 25w, I was hoping for a DTL kind of draw, however the coil takes up so much space that the airflow is limited, meaning you’re likely to use this coil for a MTL draw.

 Geekvape Aegis Boost rba pods

So dropping down to 20w, with the airflow halfway open, you get a very decent draw, and good flavour.

But in all honesty, the coil really enjoys more power than that, so I left it at that and went onto the higher resistance coils.

1.3Ω KA1 Coils

Recommended at 10-15 watts, the 1.3Ω coils are really nice, airflow at the minimum, and wattage at 15w you will enjoy the type of restriction, and flavour you’re looking for.

A stellar vape and very battery friendly.

 Geekvape Aegis Boost rba coils

Also because of the smaller coil, its possible to get a decent DTL from this, or any coil of around this size.

So the RBA deck really can do what I enjoyed with the 2 stock coils supplied.

Airflow

Due to being able to perfectly dial in the airflow as you like it, the Geekvape Aegis Boost is capable of truly being an All-In-One Kit.

Don’t get me wrong, when the airflow is all the way open, it is a little restrictive, but more than capable of a nice Direct-To-Lung vape.

GeekVape Aegis Boost airflow option

And with a spin of the wheel, you’re back to Mouth-To-Lung vaping.

Battery Life

So this device may boast a 1500mAh internal battery, but if you’re likely to make use of the 0.4Ω coils, at around 28-33w – say goodbye to the battery within 150-200 puffs.

Using the 0.6Ω coil, at 20 watts, that puff count goes up to approx 300-350 puffs.

Which was enough battery life to last me the daytime, with just a cheeky charge in the evening to last until bed.

GeekVape Aegis Boost charging port

I think the Geekvape Boost could really do with an 0.8Ω coil, or in fact, with the use of the  rebuild-able/RBA head its possible to eek out that battery life a little longer.

Charging the device is easy enough via the silicon-bung protected Micro USB port on the side of the device, and during my testing, its taken around 1 hour to charge which is ace.

GeekVape Aegis Boost IP Rating and Durability

After my disastrous end to my testing of the GeekVape Aegis X, I decided to be a little less brutal with the Aegis Boost.

Sorry!

GeekVape Aegis Boost tough

The Boost enjoyed a good 30 minutes in a large vase of water, and also the odd drop and fall from my desk – nothing too heavy, just general day to day accidents.

And it still looks good as new and showed no signs of water ingress either!

So it can stand beside its Aegis brothers and sisters and be proud to be just as durable.

Pros:

  • Amazing flavour
  • Nice cloud chucker
  • As tough as its predecessors
  • Extremely comfortable
  • RBA Deck is fairy easy to build on
  • RBA Deck is an excellent addition

Cons:

  • Display Limited (May be improved in Retail Version)
  • Pod is too dark to see e-liquid level
  • Pod clip may be prone to damage
  • Battery doesn’t last long on wattage’s over 28w
  • RBA is fiddly to wick the juice ports

Final Verdict

I’ve been extremely fortunate to test out both the Smok RPM40, and the VooPoo Vinci Pod Mod systems.

And I’ve done the best I can NOT to mention either of those systems during this review, but let’s cut to the chase.

If you’re not too bothered about having a smart looking colour screen – buy the Geekvape Aegis Boost.

It’s by far the best out of the 3.

Not only does the fully adjustable airflow control wheel make this top of its class, it also delivers the best flavour for both a DTL and MTL experience, with the added bonus that the device is IP67 waterproof, dust-proof and shockproof.

What more could you want?!

This has been the first time I’ve tested an ‘AIO’ Pod Mod system that genuinely delivers everything you expect from this type of kit.

Some minor improvements could be made to the pod, mainly the pod itself could do with being a little lighter, as its very dark to see your e-liquid level, and the clip that holds the pod in place needs beefing up a bit.

Lastly, the RBA Deck. Overall its a winner. Building on it, like any Mouth-To-Lung device, is a little fiddly and the wicking ports are small so take your time. But once you’ve done a few builds and a few re-wicks, you’ll have it down no problem.

Geekvape Aegis Boost rba wickedFor me, this wins first place for Best Pod Mod in 2019 so far.

There’s a number of features that I look at when trying out a device, and for something to score highly, it needs to meet certain demands.

‘Would this device be long lasting and still work 3, 6 or even 12 months from now?’

The only weakness I feel is with the clip on the pod itself, other than that, the Geekvape Aegis Boost is designed to last.

Does this device deliver the flavour, vapour and general experience I require, in order to be enjoyed?

Best in its class and extremely close in flavour to that of a larger Sub-Ohm Tank or RTA.

Is this device versatile to suit a new vaper, and an experienced one alike?

With the added bonus of allowing a legitimate Mouth-To-Lung vape, this ticks every box for a new vaper, and allows them to stick with this device as they slowly transition into Direct-To-Lung vaping.

There is also enough there for the hobbyist vaper, not just with the MTL and DTL option, but also now with the RBA Deck, allowing the more experienced vaper to play around and customise their vape even more.

A perfect starter kit, but has enough punch to be enjoyed by an experience vaper as well.

The Aegis Boost is my new favourite mod for when I need something lightweight and portable, but still want a dense Direct To Lung, flavour filled vape.

Did you buy the Geekvape Aegis Boost kit? Or have you given it a try?

FlatCap Vaper

Hey Folks. Im Gaz, The Flat-cap Vaper. I’m 35, married with 3 kids and I just love Flatcap's and Vaping! I started my e-cigarette journey in 2014 when I entered my local vape shop and got so well looked after, I ditched my 10 year habit of 15 roll-ups a day within 48hrs. Following on from this, my Vaping journey began. I started a Youtube Channel at the beginning of 2019 and so far has had over 500,000+ views. I quickly upgraded my device and that’s when my geeky side took over and I began to experiment with making my own liquid, building my own coils and even my own mods! As a trained electrician I suppose ohms, wattage and voltage runs through my veins so Vaping has become my hobby and a passion that I want to share with everyone.

geekvape-aegis-boost-reviewThe Geekvape Aegis Boost looses a couple of point for the dark pod, and the weakness in the clip. Also the display is very simple so I can barely rate that highly. But everything else is close to 10/10. The added bonus of the RBA Deck further broadens the appeal of the Aegis Boost, The best Pod Mod on the market in my experience.

  1. Mines not taking a charge , took it to retailer who said the usb port is faulty and return to manufacturer , shouldn’t the retailer replace repair or refund ?

  2. i just order this one but not yet got. let’s see how it will perform … then i will leave comment again…☺️☺️☺️

  3. Help……. Bought one of these……Read loads of reviews and can’t seem to get much flavour from it. Have put in the 0.6 ohm coil and have tried it between 10 – 15 watts going up by 1 watt each time, Am using a 70%PG/30%VG Orange flavour E-liquid…. The round MTL Mouthpiece…… And the Airflow dial pretty much closed…..

Any advice ? Getting frustrated. Thanks

  4. I have a Aegis Boost with the pod and 0.4 ohms. I have taken over 50,000 puffs on this vape within 5 moths and now the battery doesnt charge. It will show the charging state but as soon as i unplug it, it dies. Please help

Is there any way of changing the battery in these vapes

  5. So I’ve owned my boost for bout 5 months..fixed leaking pod n ordered extra pods too for flavor changining n they didn’t leak.

I live in NY where now there’s a flav ban n gotta jump thru hoops to get juice besides the tobacco flav they do allow.

Its 2020 n they have boost plus out already but takes an external battery, holds more juice etc but to me I’ll buy a reg mod if I want to spend extra on batteries. I’ll stick with this awesome pod mod.

I use the .4 ohm DTL coil strictly because I find it lasts longer. I mix 1/3 35 mg salt with 2/3 6 mg reg juice of same flav n brand cause reg juice only comes in 3&6 mg in most web sites n 25 mg salt is lil thin.

Its works terrific n vaping around 18 mg with no harshness. Device is exceptional..I found 2 companies that still mail me my fav EJUICE thankfully or I’ll Diy if they stop..Even Diy sites are telling me we can sell u everything but flavor concentrates!

I’ll find a way, there are a few who need the business n didn’t mention taking it out of my cart. Vape ban are just corruption by powerful tobacco companies that pay government millions$ yearly in taxes.

They know vaping is safest n most effective way to quit smoking..it’s always about $ and corruption.

I love my boost n just this morning ordered RBA pod for it. The Voopoo Vinci S n X look very tempting but I,ll always love this device.

MyGF now only smokes 3-4 ciggs a day thanks to vaping the Smok Novo might mint..she refuses to try any other device or flavor but me? I Order new flavors every month looking for my all day vape but realized I like options!

I’ve never smoked so I vape as a hobbyist n love when I find great new flavs. Hint: If u want your coils to last longer, keep wattage lower than you really need n don’t buy super sweet juices like candies n desserts unless u have the RBA or you’ll but too many coils. Buy from reputable companies that sell good clear juices but still have lots of flavor like Nkd 100, Vgod, Reds Apple.

Right now I’m vaping Air factory Blu Razz, Reds watermelon ice n Vapetasia strawberry custard (which does gunk up coils quicker) but love custards!

BUY AN Aegis BOOST OR BOOST PLUS!!!! ( Plus has no RBA yet)

  6. Thanks for reviewing this. Seems to be ticking all of the boxes except hot clouds. It surpasses my expectations, wonderful design. Can’t wait to get my hands on it.

  7. thankd for the review
I am into DL vaping on 50-55 watt on vaporesso swag and vinci X
and never satisfied with only 40 watt
can this device give the same satisfaction or should I stick with above 40 watt devices to get the same effect?
I will be already making compromises in battery life and tank capacity both lower than smok RPM80 and vinci X but the vaping satisfaction cant be compromised
    thanks for you help

    • This device is so much better than the vincci x. I have went threw 3 Vinci in the last 4 months the magnets kept coming out but I loved that device. I just got the aegis boost and today after being so hesitant. I used the vinci on low air flow and the fact that you can adjust airflow more on this and the hit is soo much better. For someone that has been ready reviews and trying to find a new device for the last 3 weeks. I’m so happy I choose this one.

  8. Superb review. My goto “pod” system. The flavour is banging! I find the 0.6ohm coils perform better than the 0.4. also those complaints about leaking, I had those.
    1. Don’t fill to the top
    2. Remove the pod at night, clean the sides.

    I’ve had no leaks.

  9. I’ve been using The Boost for about 2 months. The only criticism I have is filling the tank. Same gripe as everyone else I suppose but besides that the Boost has been my go to pod. I have a drawer full of pods and that’s were they’ll stay. The Boost does not disappoint.

  10. Quick line to the author to say that was a great, comprehensive review. I was dubious about downsizing to a smaller pod such as this one- I like a strong draw- but I have no regrets and would never go back to larger mod now.

  11. Don’t fill pod completely for no spitback. If your pod leaks into device like many complain..at bedtime, take pod out then wipe off it it leaks at all

  12. This is a great piece of kit. I have been using a Smok Nord which was ok, but didn’t hold enough juice, battery didn’t last long enough, and it always leaked.

The Aegis Boost is in a different class. I believe they are supplied in the UK with 2ml liquid capacity, but I have bought another pod for it which is 3.7ml.

I found this to be a pain to fill, but filling it at a tilt, and persevering with a little bit at a time seems to work fine. I like the fact that after every time you use it, you can immediately see the battery level. My only criticism of it is that it is difficult to see the level of the remaining liquid, so it would benefit from clear glass instead of smoked.

Other than that, it is brilliant. I prefer MTL, and am using a 0.6ohm coil, and have the airflow wheel completely open. And it works a treat. For me the battery lasts easily all day, and having a bigger tank is a real bonus.

  13. Bought two of these – been a few weeks

Leaks, hot oil in my mouth, “no atmoiser” error on one, other takes ages to start charging

The paint/finidh from them is on my hands now

not bothering buying from these guys again

  14. Hello sir,

Im a beginner vaper. I use vape to quit smoking. I just bought this model around 3 days ago. AS far as it goes i can say its good.

I just want to ask if this device is safe from exploding? Im kinda worried with all these incidents where vape pens explodes.

    Thank you in advance

    • All the news about devices exploding you have seen/heard are about non-regulated devices. This is a regulated device with several protections:

      -Over-discharge/ short circuit protection
      -Output over-current/ overcharge protection
      -Switch timeout/ over-temperature protection

So you’re safe as long as you’d treat it as any other electronic device.

      • ive had mine for 4 months, its is horrible, i was told with nic salts to use a b coil and yeah that didnt stop it from leaking, it tastes burnt every time i hit it, im done with this vape, lol i will go back to my vaporesso solo that tastes better and doesnt leak everywhere

  15. Must admit I wasn’t keen on it at first. Its alot lighter than the RPM or Vinci and it felt abit flimsy. But, after a few days, I find myself only using the boost now. It has grown on me exceptionally well. I think the RPM and voopoo .3 coils have the edge on flavour but, it’s not far behind. As you say. Not being able to see through the pod is my biggest gripe with it, it would be almost perfect with a clear pod. Anyway, the boost will definitely be my “go to pod/AIO” from now on. It’s just sooo easy. Lighter than the rest in its class, flavours to notch and in rainy season, I need no have to worry about it getting soaked. If your in two minds as to buy or not. Get it, you wont be disappointed.

    • Purchased this less than 24 hour and I only got 17 puffs, then suddenly display screen says atomizer short when I’m using .6 coil, still no idea why. Just saying to put an extra attention to the coil, anyway it is really a great device, guess ‘boost’ is not just a gimmick.

  16. How is it with nic salts? Worried that the current coil resistances are too low for that and seeing as no new coils have been announced yet I’d like to know if its worth it.

    • I’ve been using mine about 2 days, with the 0.6 ohm coil. I’m a MTL guy who normally uses single replaceable battery box mods, with MTL tanks – like the Vaporesso Swag with an Innokin Zenith tank, using 0.8 ohm coils.

While it’s charge lasts, the Boost compares favorably, for what it is, to such a setup – other than the 1500 mah (actually closer to 1400 mah) battery, but that’s what you get with a smaller, lighter, handier device. Not really an all day vape, especially for a chain vaping MTL guy, but it’s a lot better than something like a Smok Nord.

I love the look and feel of the Aegis Boost, but they need to come out with high resistance coils that have a tighter bore, and a true, narrow MTL draw mouthpiece would be nice too. I hope GeekVape comes out with that, but in the meantime this is still the best overall small, lightweight and handy vape device out there that does okay MTL. I think it’s internal battery is realistically too small for practical all day DTL vaping. I’m not a DTL guy though, so what do I know?

    • Carefully unclip by the two clips either side of the pod and prize apart. be patient otherwise you will break he plastic. Once they are apart simply take out the bung and clip back together. I did it on mine. took a couple of minutes and now have full capacity filling.
Some are complaining about tanks leaking. I have found that if you fill it right to the top, you can get a mouthful of liquid but filling just below full capacity and no issues
