More Details On The Vaporesso Coss…

I have hung back writing this preview as I am not 100% sure how this device works! I have been waiting to see if Vaporesso release some kind of video of it in action or at least a user manual with more details – but not as yet!

vaporesso coss components

So I will strip it back to basics to its two major components – the Coss Stick (vape device) and the Coss Hub (power bank).

We have seen similar devices which have a separate hub such as the Aspire Vilter Pro and Suorin iShare with varying degrees of success.

The Coss Stick is basically a small pod kit with a 250mAh battery and it is recharged by inserting it into the Coss Hub.

coss capacities

I am not sure of any more details of the stick as to whether it has any kind of indicator or adjustable airflow etc. The Vaporesso page is pretty vague on this.

Attached to the Coss Stick is the Coss Pod is where the e-liquid lives and it has a fixed 1.2ohm coil, so I assume the pod is disposed of when the coil performance has deteriorated?

Now the Stick might not sound very impressive on its own, but it makes more sense when you see how it is linked to the Coss Hub.

The Coss Hub is where the bigger battery lives – it has a 1500mAh battery charged using the USB Type C port at a 2A charge rate.

coss auto charge

You insert the Stick into the Hub to charge it.

Plus you may have noticed I have not mentioned refilling yet. This is because the Hub does that for you too at the click of a button!

coss auto fill

I have no idea how this works but with the Stick installed in the hub, the Capsule (or tank) inside the Hub injects e-liquid into the Coss Stick pod. A video is included below…

The capsule has a 7.5ml capacity and is refillable and the stick holds 0.6ml of e-liquid. I am not sure if this will be available in TPD regulated areas due to the capsule capacity? But Squonk devices are compliant even with their larger capacity bottles so who knows?

coss capsule
Just a reminder – never use “oil” – only use e-liquid!!!

The image above mentions that there a possibility for pre-filled capsules? Is that something that might develop in the future? Also “filters” and “filter pod” are mentioned – no idea what these are about? I can only assume they are possibly cigarette filter style mouthpieces?

You will basically have to carry both devices around, but the Coss Stick is super thin whereas the Hub could be in a pocket or bag out of the way.

I am not sure what I think of this to be honest. The button controlled refilling is a great idea and should keep mess and air / contamination out of the way.

But otherwise I would just prefer a bit bigger device with a decent sized battery and a refillable pod?

Also the Coss looks to be very expensive with the RRP around £83!
