I am delighted to be reviewing the VooPoo Drag S Mod Pod (and the Drag X Mod Pod soon after).

In the history of vaping, vape pens came first closely followed by vape mods, then a couple of years ago pods came out.

Voopoo DRAG S Pod Mod

Pods originally took the place of the original pen styled, mouth to lung, vapes, they have really taken the vape industry by storm.

Then last year, along came the pod mods, as the name suggests, pod mod vapes are mods that use a pod instead of a tank.

Ever since then, the line between what is a pod system, pod mod or mod has gotten increasingly blurry.

Now with the release of the DRAG pod mods, VooPoo has gone that extra mile. I officially don’t think there is a clear difference between the 3, other than how the coil connects to the mod.

At the time of writing, this system is just about ready for mainstream release, and surprisingly it hasn’t been getting much attention.

Voopoo – A Pretty Good History Of Getting It Right

VooPoo was founded in 2010, devoted to material research, electronic R&D of precision instruments as well as medical and industrial automation control.

It wasn’t for another 6 years, that the VooPoo we all know so well was really born, with the acquisition of Woodyvapes, a US E-Cigarette brand.

However it was in 2017, when VooPoo took the vape industry by storm after partnering with GENE Co to develop exclusive chips and then launched the well renowned 157w DRAG Mod.

Voopoo Drag vape mod

Since then VooPoo has gone from strength to strength. Based in China, VooPoo boast their products are sold in over 200 countries and regions across the world

The Drag S Pod Mod isn’t the first Pod Mod from VooPoo. In fact they have an entire Series of ‘Mod Pods’.

The Vinci Series consists of 4 Mod Pods and 1 pod, these pod mods include the very popular Vinci Mod Pod and the Vinci X Mod Pod.

What Can We Expect From the VooPoo DRAG S?

As we’ve already established, in order to be worthy of the DRAG series, the Drag S Mod Pod has to be pretty impressive.

To fit in with the branding, I expect it to look simple but stylish.

Voopoo DRAG S Pod Mod -in smart Mode

The kit also has a lot of intriguing features including a “score ranking mode”, although it sounds like an interesting concept, I expect pod mods to be simple to use, the Drag S is no exception.

It fires up to a generous 60W and has its own integrated 2,500mAh battery. For the system to be worth the time of day, that battery needs to last for most of the day and charge fast.

The adjustable airflow on the Drag Pod Mods is the best and most advanced adjustable airflow I’ve seen on any pod mod to date – I thank that is going to be a game changer.

With VooPoo devices the chip set is always a focus point, and the Drag Mod Pods are packed with the new GENE TT.

VooPoo claim the Gene TT Chip “enables DRAG S to ignite within 0.001s, and also provides it with intelligent functions such as PUFF recording, SCORE ranking, SMART switching start mode, etc.”.

Are you excited yet? I am, so without further ado, lets put the VooPoo Drag S Mod Pod Kit to the test.

Design and Build Quality

Let me be clear, from the very second I opened the box it was the start of a love story.

The kit comes in 7 different styles; Classic, Carbon Fibre, Retro, Mashup, Chestnut, Marsala and Galaxy Blue. – I have the Retro.

VooPoo DRAG S Mod

The mix of alloy and leather might seem familiar, it is very reminiscent of the GeekVape Aegis line.

It looks elegant and stylish, in a unique way that it will suit almost anybody, irrespective of their age. If your 18 or 88, I’m sure you will agree, there is a very classy and trendy sense to this device.

VooPoo Drag s pod mod - mod

The buttons on the mod are quite typical for VooPoo, there is a fire, up and buttons, all of which are round and the fire button is slightly indented, to comfortably accommodate the thumb or finger.

Between the buttons is the 0.96” TFT screen and below the buttons sits the USB-C Port.

On the back of the devices, sits a small handle to alter the airflow. The airflow is formed by two slits; one at either side of the mod.

The shape and size looks great but more importantly it fits the hand nicely too.

Flat at the front and round at the back, it looks like it may only fit comfortably in the hand one way. However, it’s quite comfortable regardless of which way round you hold it.

Tough and Smart

In regards to durability, I have no concerns. The bottom of the device has rubber feet, to keep it from touching down. The leather back, which I presume is stuck on, sits nicely and feels well made.

The device in general feels quite strong and study.

If I had any concerns about the durability of the device, it would be for the fire button.

Purely because the great and durable DRAG mods have been know to have a faulty fire button after years (some times months) of constant use, they simply wear out internally.

However, the DRAG S is more compact and I feel pretty confident that the button will stand the test of time for most users.

The VooPoo DRAG S Pod

As stated above the pod is made from PCTG (Poly – Cyclohexylenedimethylene Terephthalate Glycol, Aka a type of plastic).

I think with the Drag S pod mod the pod plays a major part in the system looking awesome.

VooPoo Drag s pod mod - pod

It’s clear, as with most pods, however it is more of a grey colour, and more importantly it looks like a tank.

It could quite easily be mistaken as a glass RDA. VooPoo hasn’t really done anything majorly different with how the pod part looks, they’ve just shaped it to look like a tank, and I think it looks and feels awesome.

VooPoo’s website states they are bringing out a 510 connection adapter or the system, this isn’t a new thing, but it would certainly be interesting to check out.

There is one thing that stands out about the pod, the connection…

Connection – Pod to Mod

This made the inner Nerdy Vaper in me super excited. The connection couldn’t be any simpler, literally.

More often than not with pods, the coil has to go into a pod a certain way, and / or the pod has to go into the device a certain way.

Voopoo DRAG S Pod Mod -pod connection

Well no longer do we have to pay attention to the fine details when doing the above. The circular coil fits into the pod at any rotation (providing the bottom is at the bottom).

After that the circular pod fits into the mod at any rotation. Simple.

A make or break point for pods is quite often the connection. It uses a magnet, but fear not!

The 4 magnets placed onto the bottom of the pod connect surprisingly well with the circular metal plate inside the mod.

I have zero concerns about the pod unexpectedly coming loose or falling off.

VooPoo DRAG S Charging Port

I often think a charging port is a bit like a registration plate on a car. It would probably look better without it, but more often then not you need one.

First of all I’m delighted that VooPoo decided to use the newer USB-C (opposed to Micro USB). It arguably makes very little difference for a device like a vape, but it’s the newer version and I think by now everybody should have made the transition.

It has a 2A charge rating, which is awesome, the faster charging the better, especially when it has built in batteries like the DRAG S pod mod does.

In regards to the position of the port, it’s on the front at the bottom of the device, which I like. It suits the device, and it is far better than it being on the bottom on the device, where it would be more prone to damage.

VooPoo DRAG S Airflow

I am a massive fan of innovation, and the VooPoo Drag Pod Mods have definitely innovated when it comes to airflow.

Most pod mods have a poor adjustable airflow if any all. Like the VooPoo Vinci Pod Mods, in which you remove and rotate the pods 180 degrees to change the airflow and even then you can barely notice a difference.

Voopoo DRAG S Pod Mod -adjustable airflow

With the VooPoo DRAG S there is a full tank like, adjustable airflow.

The airflow is built into the mod rather than the pod and to control it you just slide the small handle on the front of the device. It is easy to use but isn’t so loose that it adjusts on its own accord.

Fully open the airflow is generous enough to be a true Direct To Lung Device.

The airflow’s biggest drawback is that it isn’t really capable of providing a really restrictive Mouth To Lung draw. However, it does go restrictive enough to do MTL vaping without it feeling awkward.

VooPoo DRAG S Screen

The home screen has all the information you need.

In the top left it tells you what system you are using, and this is also indicated by the colour of the screen, Blue = RBA and Red = Smart.

Voopoo DRAG S Pod Mod screen

The top left is a battery level indicator, below that is the locked/unlocked indicator, and then the usage setting (P & A, Press or nothing – which equates to press)

In the center is the current wattage setting, which is just above the resistance and voltage reading.

Just below those is the time and puff counter. And at the bottom is the puff score ranking status.

We will discuss most of those features below.

VooPoo DRAG S Quick Start

The user manual that comes with the kit is for both the DRAG S and DRAG X.

Although the information below may miss out some information relating to the DRAG X.

How To Change The VooPoo DRAG S Coils

The coils are PnP coils, Although I can’t find any evidence, I’m pretty sure that stands for Push N’ Pull.

The Kit comes without a coil installed.

  • Pull the pod off from the top of the mod.
  • Turn the pod upside down.
  • Pull the coil out from the bottom of the pod.
  • Insert new coil into bottom of the pod and press firmly.
  • Fill pod and allow to stand upright for 5 minutes before using new coil.

Voopoo DRAG S Pod Mod -pod
Tips: Before you put a coil into the pod while it is upside down look at where the join is, that is.

Any liquid that is above that joint will leak out when you remove the coil.

If you can’t quite remember where the joint it, just make sure the liquid isn’t touching the coil before you remove it- if you wish to prevent loosing or spilling liquid.

How to Fill The VooPoo Drag S Pod.

  • Remove the pod from the mod.
  • Turn the pod upside down.
  • Lift the black silica gel plug.
  • Pour liquid into the now open hole.
  • Reinsert the plug.

VooPoo Drag s pod mod - filling the pod

VooPoo recommend keeping the pod at least 2 thirds full. However I’ve been allowing the liquid level to go down to the top of the holes in the coil before refilling and it has been fine.

VooPoo Drag S Score Ranking System

Thanks to the GENE TT Chip, the system simulates the amount of vapour you are using per puff, and uses that information to score your puff count.

Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master then King.

Voopoo DRAG S Pod Mod rating system

Imagine pretty much any modern game, when you start using the system you are Iron with 0 stars.

As you use the system the bar under your rank icon goes up (like ‘XP’ on a game) when the bar is full you become Iron with 1 star and the XP bar resets.

The system continues like this until you have 5 stars, when you fill the bar and already have 5 starts, you get promoted to the next level (in this example bronze) and the the stars reset to 0.

Your rank is determined by the total amount of vapour, not vapour per puff.

How Does The VooPoo DRAG S Perform?

The DRAG S doesn’t come with any newly released coils.

I’m fortunate enough to have tried both of the coils that come with the kit in the past…however, I do think they perform better with this kit.

VooPoo Drag S – 0.2ohm PnP – VM5 – Mesh Coil

VooPoo recommend using this coil between 40-60W with 10mg nicotine or less.

I started Using this coil with Fantastic Exotic Amazon it is a blend of Strawberry, Apple and menthol; mixed at 70VG/30PG with no nicotine.

Pnp VM5 0.2ohm 40-60w

When reviewing a coil, I always start below the recommended wattage. I tried 30W and 20W but they was too good, so we are going to have to start all the way down at the lowest setting.

At 5W the coil doesn’t give much flavour or vapour. But at 10W with a slow DTL puff, there is a small cloud and definitely a hint of flavour prominent enough to taste the both the strawberry and apple but no menthol. I know a few people that would be satisfied with this output.

Up to 25W there is a decent size cloud, it isn’t very thick, but it’s still impressive.

You get a decent taste of the flavour, but it still isn’t very prominent, and there still isn’t any menthol.

At 40W we are at the bottom of the recommended wattage. There is a good sized cloud, with a pleasant thickness to it, not quite thick enough for my liking but a good thick cloud for 40W.

There is also a really nice prominent taste at this point, all the flavours intertwine greatly at the back of the mouth with a nice cool menthol sensation at the back of the throat.

More Power!

The mods smart mode recommends the coil to be used at 50W, which is also half way through the recommended wattage. It is also the point where the coil starts to shine.

At 50W you get that fulfilling sensation as the thick vapour races down your throat. It is just as fulfilling as you exhale the vapour, I’ve had many kits that produced this level of vapour and flavour at 80W, yet this coil is managing to do it at 50W.

Full power! At 60W the search ends, you get the full kick of the flavour as the strawberry and apple intertwine beautifully and flood the mouth, you also get the full icy sensation of the menthol, and if you don’t draw super hard/fast you get a decent and thick cloud.

To prolong the life span of any coil you should always use it within the recommended wattage (Not higher or lower).

VooPoo Drag S – 0.3ohm PnP – VM1 – Mesh Coil

VooPoo recommend using this coil between 32-40W with 10mg nicotine or less. Again I started Using this coil with Fantastic Exotic Amazon mixed at 70VG/30PG with no nicotine.

5W and 10W pulls a nice little cloud but with practically no noticeable flavour.

Pnp VM1 0.3ohm 32-40w

At 20W the coil pulls a decent little cloud, which is quite impressive for 20W. The flavour starts to come through but it still isn’t very recognizable, and there is no sign of menthol.

32W is the bottom of the recommended range and it’s here where the coil starts to come to life, although the menthol is extremely subtle in the background the strawberry is really prominent with a hint of apple. Although the cloud produced is small, it is certainly impressive in both size and thickness, considering we are firing at 32W.

To the top of the recommended power range (40W), the VooPoo Drag S provides a nice, decently sized cloud that’s nice and thick. The flavour is nice and but nowhere near as prominent as it was with the 0.2ohm coil – it doesn’t flood the mouth. The apple and strawberry intertwine nicely but there still isn’t any sense of menthol.

The system wouldn’t let me turn it up anymore, so I put it in RBA mode and cranked it up to 50w.

Here the coil seems to start struggling, the vapour production is definitely amplified but the flavour doesn’t really change at all, if anything, it is lessened.

Truth be told with every puff, I felt like I was 1 puff away from a dry burn; I still didn’t get a dry burn though.

VooPoo Drag S – MTL

These coils were not really designed for Mouth To Lung vaping but I figured I best let you know how they performed with the system.

It didn’t go very well.

I didn’t rate the MTL experience at all. Even with the airflow turned right down it just didn’t feel right.

I think the built in mouth piece is a little bit too big for MTL vaping and the airflow isn’t the most restrictive.

Although it should be noted, that the PnP coils that are designed for MTL Vaping have a smaller inner diameter, and I imagine that could make a big difference.

50VG / 50PG Liquid Test

Again these coils were not really designed for 50/50 liquid.

I tested the coils with the Got Salts Peachy Promise Nic Salt. Although I urge you not to use sub ohm coils with nicotine levels higher than 10mg.

The results were very similar to the high VG Liquid I used previously, with slightly smaller clouds. The 0.3ohm coil seemed to provide a better flavour with the 50/50, but still not much to brag about.

VooPoo Drag S Coil Summary

Both coils provided brilliantly smooth and thick vapour with a nice prominent taste.

More importantly the vaping experience was consistent through out, there were no waves of lots of flavour to no flavour, they were consistent.

I had absolutely no dry hits, truth be told I didn’t have any problems with either coil.

As a cloud and flavour chaser I preferred the 0.2ohm coil. For me it proved to be a more fulfilling in regards to both vapour and flavour production.

I would be interested to try the system with a coil that is design for Mouth To Lung to see how much of a true mouth to lung experience it can provide.

VooPoo Drag S Score Ranking System

The ranking system is a novelty to say the least but it also doubles up as different type of puff counter, counting the vapour output rather than just the amount of puffs.

It provides a lot more accurate information for those people that are interested in the amount that they are vaping.

Obviously 10 puffs for 1 person could easily equate to 20 puffs from another person, when taking the vapour production into account.

Is it a make or break factor for the system? Not at all, in my eyes it is just a little fun addition to the system, I don’t think I’d miss it a lot if it wasn’t there.

VooPoo Drag S Airflow

The adjustable airflow on the VooPoo Drag S is definitely a game changer and it is certainly an attractive part of the system.

The airflow is very generous, for a 60w system I don’t think you could (or would) ask for a bigger airflow.

adjustable airflow

If I had to say there was a downside to the airflow, it would be the fact it doesn’t really allow a restrictive mouth to lung experience.

The VooPoo Drag S System

The smart feature isn’t really anything new to VooPoo systems, In fact, it’s arguably the most well know thing about VooPoo – “That Mod that recommends what wattage to use”.

But the system goes further than just recommending the wattage, it prevents you from using the coil at too high power.

It goes without saying, that is an awesome feature for a first time vaper to have.

More importantly it has an RBA setting, so you don’t have to use coils how VooPoo says you should, you can use them however you wish.

That being said RBA stands for Rebuildable Atomiser (which is a rebuildable coil). I don’t think it matters if the RBA setting is there just for the RBA coil or not, the important thing is, the RBA setting gives you full control over power output.

An RBA PnP is available on the market, however the system does not come with one.

VooPoo Drag S Battery and Charging

The 2,500mAh battery is a pretty big battery for an internal battery inside a pod mod. There are 80w box mods and sub-ohm tube mods that have a smaller battery.

You want any and every system to charge fast, even more so when it has a big battery, luckily for us, VooPoo knows that.

charging

With the 2A charge rating, the system generally took a little over an hour to fully charge.

When you plug the device in to charge, a charging indicator appears on the screen and it tells you exactly what percent the system is currently charged to.

Obviously the battery life depends on, how much you use the system and at what wattage you are using it at. For me the battery lasted most of the day (between 9-12 hours).

But here’s some ‘quick math’ estimates

  • At 32w, you should be able to get roughly 694 x 1.5second Puffs or a 1.5 second puff ever other minute for 23 hours
  • At 60w you should be able to get roughly 370 x 1.5 second puffs or a 1.5 second puff every other minute for 13 hours

While using the Voopoo DRAG S there is a phone like battery level indicator in the top left of the screen.

VooPoo Drag S Coil Life

PnP coils have a great reputation in regards to life span.

In my experience they last roughly two weeks, often more than 2 weeks.

However that comes down to many things, including what wattage you’re using and what liquid you are using.

Sugary liquids and using the coil at a higher or lower wattage than recommended can drastically decrease the lifespan of a coil.

VooPoo Drag S Leaking

It is extremely rare to find a pod system that doesn’t have a slight leakage.

The truth is because the airflow comes from the bottom of the pod, where it connects to the mod, there is always going to be excess liquid on the top of the mod or bottom of the pod – be it vapour residue or a little bit of leaked juice.

The VooPoo Drag S is no different, every time I have checked there has been evidence of liquid on the connector, but no more than usual, and certainly not enough to leak out of the system.

Pros

  • 2,500mAh battery
  • 0.2ohm coil has great flavour and vapour
  • Simple & effective pod connection
  • Adjustable airflow
  • Simple to use
  • Looks good
  • Feels Good in hand
  • Starter friendly
  • Fast charging
  • Seems durable

Cons

  • No menu
  • 0.3ohm coil could be better
  • Isn’t the best for MTL

Final Review Verdict

This is my new favourite Pod Mod.

Truth be told although I usually review pods and pod mods unbiased but they’re not really my thing.

However I really do like the Voopoo DRAG S, there was times that I actually forgot I was using a pod mod, it is very much like a mod and tank.

I don’t like my reviews to sound like sales pitches, but every now and then a system comes along that just simply deserves it.

Is it perfect? No.

The 0.3ohm coil could certainly be improved. And to make it the perfect device the adjustable airflow could do with being able to be a bit more restrictive, as well as ideally having a removable drip tip so you can choose the thickness….

But lets be real here, if that is all I can recommend then they’ve done a pretty good job.

I take my hat off to you, VooPoo.

Well Done.

Sooo…

voopoo-drag-s-pod-mod-reviewOk so for the display and functions i was tempted to take a point for the lack of a proper menu... but then i figured, all the proper functions are still there and there is the extra scoring functionality.. so it got full points. As you can see, if it wasn't for the 0.3ohm coil it would have scored a full house. It's a shame really. I'll be giving this one away on my YouTube channel, but I will be buying 1 for me, 1 for my wife and I'll also be stocking them in my shop, without a doubt.

    • Yes there is no other way to charge the drag S, because the 2500mAh battery is built it. It charges by USB-C and has a 2A rating.

The Drag X is it’s sibling, with an external battery, that one can be charged by mains or external charger

    • Yes, you can get this feature by updating the software from the Voopoo website! This will give you access to the scoring feature.

    • You would need to uograde it using the software and download the screen into the pod using a computer. The screen upgrade can be found within Voopoo’s website

  9. Do u have to turn off the vape over night , or just leave it on? I noticed when I didn’t use the vape for a hour or two and I pressed the fire button it said “activated” on the screen… does this mean I don’t have to turn it off???
Plz help , thx a lot god bless

  10. I am on a tight budget what should I buy Drag s or x is it worth paying extra for x , I am also considering the Drag mini platinum kit with Pnb tank but then it a little more money then x so what to do help ?
Been vaping 6 year tried almost everything want something with good enough vapour and decent flavour.

  11. You probably have a clogged airflow sensor. You must remove the liquid container and clean the sensor. It’s such a black little thing under that silver ring. Just clean with a handkerchief and it will work for you again.

  12. So i have the drag s just bought it as my voopoo drag mini has frozen on me twice. My sister has the same drag s and she can get it to go past 60w at least i believe is that even possible if so how can i change that? I have the pnp coil that is 60 to 80 watts

    • Hey Michael, thanks for coming, unfortunately the Drag S has only got a max power output of 60w.

If your sisters goes higher than 60w it’s more than likely that she’s has the Drag X.

The easiest way to tell the difference is by the battery door on the bottom of the mod. The X has an external battery so there is a side open battery door on the bottom, as the S has a built in battery and therefore doesn’t have a battery door.

      Hope that helps.

      • Myself and my partner both for the drag s today but his screen is different to mine , his has the game mode thing at the bottom where as on the bottom of mine it’s the time and amount of puffs

    • Yes you can get the drag s to 80w. You have to complete the steps in the software upgrade(have to use a computer). Once you’ve completed all levels you can get the extra 20w to 80w.

  13. No, neither of my devices work on auto when set to P & A – not bothered as it is not something I would use anyway.

I would always be concerned that some erroneous ambient (albeit pretty loud) noise might set it to fire in my pocket!

  14. To everyone that’s saying that auto is not working, mine also got to that point then I realised while changing modes blue and red, the red has 2 options, P&A and press

If it is on press auto will not function, so set to P&A a and try, i like to use a button to fire anyway so mine is always at press, just a suggestion as you explained in the modes part of review, occurred with me aswell so maybe it’ll help 😅

  15. I left a longer comment on the Drag X review page but just to summarize that:

    1) Combined with the 1.0 ohm R2 coil the airflow can be reduced to a very acceptable MTL draw. In fact, because of the size of the coil (2mm) you only get a slightly loose MTL even with the air flow fully open.

    2) For me the 2ml TPD pod is useless – vape is too warm and you get liquid mist in your mouth. The 4.5ml (XL) pod is extremely good – longer chimney – cooler vape – no liquid droplets in the mouth.

    3) The 4.5ml (XL) pod WILL accept some 510 drip tips – I use the Nautilus original stainless steel ones and most of these will fit very well as long as the shoulder, just above the O-rings, is not too pronounced

    • Hi Laura, I’d take the coil out and run water through the pod (either into the mouth piece or into the coil hole.
Then if you want to wipe it out, use a piece of rolled up tissue (or corner of a towel) to stuff into the pod and twist.

      Notes:
After doing that makes sure there is no tissue fibres inside the pod. If there is, rinse it through with water again.
Drying the pod out completely isn’t really necessary (unless you have asthma), in which case i would give it a good shake and then leave it to dry.

    • No. The Drag S (and X) take the PnP coils. There is currently 9 different PnP coils available with different power ranges, everything from 10w-15 all the way up to 60-80W.
The lower power coils would be better for 50/50 e-liquids (both free-base nicotine and Nic-Salts) and the higher would be better for 70/30 liquids.
Although in my experience all the coils handle both liquids (50/50 and 70/30) pretty well.

So basically with the right coil you can use it however you like.

      Hope that helps!

  16. is the achievement mode specific for the drag x? i got my drag s a few days ago and i dont have the achievement mode on mine

  17. I bought the Voopoo Drag S a week ago. Everything was ok and the flavor is really good, but after a day of using it, the auto draw mode is no longer functioning. I brought it back to the store and they said it might be a factory issue on the unit so they replaced it with a new one. Great right? I was really happy with the unit, but then again after a day of using it, the same problem began. The auto draw mode is no longer functioning. Also on both units, i experienced a sudden stop on your drag a few seconds after vaping. It just stops while puffing after around 2-3 seconds while holding the fire button… doesn’t happen all the time but its getting frequent. Let me know if someone experiences the same problem and if someone knows how to fix this issue. Thanks!

    • That’s awful, and it makes me feel bad because I gave it such a good review -although I can confirm I did not have either of these issues.

If I hear anything I’ll let you know.

    • With regards to the drag cutting out, I just received mine today and found that it does that on the red mode but not the blue mode. I think it may be a power/coil saving feature. Or a fault.

    • You probably have a clogged airflow sensor. You must remove the liquid container and clean the sensor. It’s such a black little thing under that silver ring. Just clean with a handkerchief and it will work for you again.

      • It sounds like the device is broken one way or another.

I’d double check that you haven’t accidentally changed the mode (make sure it’s still on smart mode, red screen).
If so I’d then try and clean the sensor, which is on top of the mod. Just under the metal silver connection ring there is a black dot, I believe that is the sensor, I’d give it a wipe with a wet wipe or some tissue, to see if that fixes the issue.

If not, i’d contact the store you bought it from and tell them it’s not working as it’s supposed to.
