The Wotofo Recurve Dual RDA is from one of the busier manufacturers in the Vaping Industry. They’ve certainly created some excellent products in the last 12 months, and getting US reviewer Mike Vapes on board to help create a few products has certainly helped them, so if its not broke, don’t fix it.
Yet Wotofo and Mike Vapes felt the need to ‘fix’ their original ‘Recurve’ creation, which was a single coil 24mm RDA with a post-less deck and has a almost sexy curve to it.
So creating a dual coil version seemed an obvious next step. Somehow however its lost its curvy shape along the way, but that doesn’t mean its lost its looks.
Lets crack on.

Before I go over the build deck, the first 2 things that stand out to me is firstly the missing top cap! Thats right, the whole barrel/top-cap section is one part, which I really like the look of.
Secondly the airflow, the 6 holes on either side of the RDA just complete the simple look.
Oh and don’t forget the only branding on the RDA – RECURVE.
Im not sure why the didn’t add DUAL to this, but I suppose its to keep the minimalist look. Which I’m actually quite pleased with.
In essence this is an RDA for the masses yet has a simple, clean and stylish look.
The build deck is of the post-less variety, with high rising airflow posts on either side – which of course line up with the airflow holes on the barrel. At a glance it looks simple enough to build on, and comes with all the bits and bobs to be expected with any Wotofo branded product.
Design and Build Quality
Considering the Recurve Dual has 6 large airflow holes in each side, its not the airiest dripper I’ve used.
In fact during my time with this RDA, I generally kept the airflow wide open, which is of course fully adjustable but trust me, this doesn’t affect the flavour.
I’ll get onto that soon.
The Wotofo Recurve Dual follows suit with the original Single coil Recurve and has the ‘drop in coil’ style deck, and the post-less design allows for the coil posts to be replaced with airflow posts.
The tolerances on the O-Rings are spot on, the 810 drip tip at the top, and the 2 O-rings at the base are nice and snug, however fitting the barrel onto the deck section can be a little fiddly at times, the barrel has to be perfectly lined up with the deck to slot into place.
Which can take a few wiggled to drop down. Very minor, but still frustrating
How Does The Wotofo Recurve Dual RDA Perform?
First off, get your coils cut to length, I went for 7mm using my Coily Tool, but of course you can use the provided coil cutting tool, and cut to 7mm, the coils drop in nicely and are positioned perfectly in the centre of the airflow.
It can be a little tricky to get the coils both spot on, but with a little patience you’ll get there soon enough.
Don’t forget to pinch and pulse the coils. Mine came out at 0.13Ω
If you use the provided coils, any 3mm diameter cotton will work perfectly, once in position, cut them to length.
I cut them sightly over the edges of the deck. Which is ideal for both dripping and squonking – If you squonk however, make sure you rake out the ends a little to help with the wicking.
Once tucked in, the deck is ready for dripping or squonking.
To Build On
Apart from the slight difficulty in getting the heights of the coils perfect with each other (Sorry I’m a little OCD) its a joy to build on.
Regardless of wether you’re squonking or dripping, there’s plenty of room for your cotton.
Cut at approx 8mm from coil to end of cotton, it tucks in nicely and if you do plan on squonking, just make sure you rake out a little of the cotton at the end to help with the saturation.
Using the optional 510 Squonk pin, the Recurve Dual RDA squonks beautifully! Rather than just filling up the juice well with eliquid, it surrounds the coil first, before dropping back down and soaking the rest of the cotton.
As long as you don’t have too much wick stuffed into the base of the RDA, you’ll be absolutely fine squonking this RDA. Secondly because of the angle of the inner airflow, it doesn’t tend to leak, unless of course you massively over squonk.
Flavour and Clouds
For this review I used Darkstar Code Red, its a DIY e-liquid that I made to 80VG/20PG ratio, and using the 2 x Ni80 28Gx4x36G coils, with a 3mm inner diameter, they came out at 0.13Ω at around 90watts.
Sorry, not the most professional explanation of the flavour experience. But it’s an absolutely cracking RDA for flavour, with the airflow wide open, the Recurve Dual delivers a very similar flavour experience to the Drop Dead RDA, and the Dead Rabbit RDA.
Both of which I use and enjoy. Knocking down the airflow a little, it can feel a little more restrictive, but to be honest it doesn’t really improve the flavour any more.
Regardless of how you set your airflow, the vapour production is what you would expect from a dual coil RDA. Nice and cloudy.
- Top notch flavour
- Nice tidy design
- Ideal for any level Vaper
- Nice and smooth airflow
- Two 810 drip tips included
- Squonks great
- Deep enough juice well
- Fitting barrel on can be tricky
Final Review Verdict
The Wotofo Recurve Dual is an RDA for anyone who likes a dual coil build.
Being 24mm, its not the biggest RDA but 24mm is probably the best suited size in general for most mods. And theres plenty of room in the deck for most size coils and plenty of cotton.
I would highly recommend this RDA for a Vaper looking to getting into the build game.
It’s simple enough to build on, even if you want to try just a single coil build to start with.
However, if you don’t think a dual coil setup is for you, then why not try out the first rendition of the Recurve, designed for a single coil build, which The Devil Vaper rated very highly indeed.
